Hi Girls...

We really need a happy room here. We have a sauna but where can I just write about being happy? laugh.gif I just feel in a good mood at the moment despite the assignments and the amount of wedding stuff that needs to be done etc etc...

I just feel like I'm in some a good 'place' at the moment. I have so many exciting things ahead of me and all of a sudden I feel calm about things and just joyous really laugh.gif

I am so happy in my relationship and while I always have been, I guess I've just been reflecting on it so much more lately with all the changes that are coming in the next year for us. I am so happy living here in Sydney and am so happy with the friendships I have made. I am about to complete my fourth year of uni and I just feel so ..happy. I just can't think of another word to describe my whole life at the moment. I've just been thinking about how I'm coming up to living in Sydney in 2 years now and thinking about how much my life has changed in this time and how much I have grown as a person. I just feel really proud of myself and proud of Alan for the amazing person that he is. We have life so good and I just go to bed at night feeling amazed at how lucky we are. I am so excited about NOW and about our future. I am excited about our wedding, being a wife, our honeymoon, all our plans that actually come into action after the wedding and the fact that I only have 6 months left of uni before I start my dream job.....

I worked tonight and there was a parent and her daughter in our store...and the mother called me Miss B and I looked around and it was one of the girls I taught on my last placement. My heart just melted as I know I had a big impact on her in my 3 short weeks teaching at that school and I got tears in my eyes after she left. I just felt so happy!!!!!!! How am I ever going to be a teacher if a child can have such an affect like that on ME in 3 weeks ??? How will I ever give up my class year after year?? laugh.gif

Another thing that has been on my mind in the last probably...3 months is thinking about when Alan and I have our first baby. Its not going to happen for a while as its not in our plans or nor am I ready. We have always talked about it in our relationship ALL the time and I think I just feel even more excited about it. Which is funny if you knew me, because I'm always saying not for a long time, not until I'm 30 at least (I'm 24). I still feel that way, but I dunno can't explain it!

I think its just the beginning of a new stage in our life and I look forward to this. I love Alan so much and I really just feel overwhelmed with happiness sometimes. Don't get me wrong, hes drives me crazy sometimes laugh.gif

I should shut up... I just had to let this happiness out because I just feel so inspired by life at the moment despite all the lil adversities.

On top of this..my wedding coordinator emailed me and is like we need to have our final meeting and I'm thinking wow..your'e right, we do. Its OCTOBER and my wedding is NEXT MONTH! biggrin.gif eek!

So thankyou girls if you got this far. I appreciate being about to come in here and share these fantastic feelings with you...

I'll be back tomorrow with a different tune laugh.gif

Mwah. xxoo

Edited to fix my crappy spelling!
Domestic Dreamer
Aww that's so sweet Candy. Sometimes I get so stressed I forget about the happy things a bit, it's good to have a reminder. smile.gif
blahblah

awww Candy you gave me goosebumps, so sweet!
I think we all need to stop stressing over the little things and take a step back when things seem too much and realise why we are doing this...we are all in love and there is so much happiness.

Milli/Princess - You are so very welcome. smile.gif Glad I could help.

Maiko - Pass the MnM's over here before you put them away! tongue.gif

I am so buggered, every morning this week has been 5.30am starts thanks to my son! lol I'm feeling so crappy and feel like I might be coming down with whatever it was he had last week. I vomited yesterday but nothing since but feel really squemish, feverish and weak sad.gif and then H2b came home last night and said he felt the same way, but went to work this morning as he had a meeting.

My friend gave me all her sister jewellry from her wedding yesterday. It looks really beautiful but not sure whether it suits me. Will take it with me when I have my 1st dress fitting. The necklace is more like a choker and dont think it will suit me or my dress...will see.

Aww Candy wub.gif

You will never ever forget your first class... I cried and cried when I let my first batch go (it was a TAFE Diploma class). I even gave each one of them a little XMAS pressie rolleyes.gif I am still in touch with at least 1/2 of them, and that's from 5 years ago, now biggrin.gif

Am so pleased to hear you're in a happy place, right now. I think I've hit a similarly happy place, too! Perhaps this is the normal way to feel 7 weeks out? Am sure the 'roller coaster' will start again in a few days, but just now I'm feeling good!

I finished the OOS wording and formatting - taking it to Mum's tomorrow for a final final proof read and Sunday will put them together. Will feel good when that is done - another niggly thing I can cross off the list. Then can start on menus for the tables. Oh - did my seating list chart up, too, but obviously that needs to wait until all RSVPs are in to be finalised.

Today's wedding task? I am having lunch with a girlfriend and then going out shopping, and am going to look for cufflinks for HTB and bridal party gifts.

Oh - CM, Harmonie and Kylz - since you've seen my skin 'in the flesh' I thought I'd let you know - the new treatment for my psoriasis is REALLY WORKING! I am so so so pleased - even my students are commenting on how good it looks - and this is after only 3 days! I am now confident it will be good on the day. PHEW!

Good morning ladies!! Yay, it's Friday biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Candy - what a truly lovely post smile.gif Thanks for de-stressing us with what you've written. It's good to take a step back and reflex on how lucky we all are. I'm really happy for you that you are REALLY HAPPY biggrin.gif biggrin.gif That story about one of your students melted my heart wub.gif

And Mazzy, I like our group too biggrin.gif It's nice that we are able to share this each other wink.gif

Carla - I hope you get trashed at your hens! hahahaha! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif Nah, I hope you had a fab time, get a bit tipsy so you can have a few giggles and enjoy your nite smile.gif

Harmonie - congrats on your wedding rings - i bet that they're lovely! Pictures please tongue.gif When I got mine, I couldn't help but look at them, put it on, take it off, put it away in the drawer and do exactly the same thing every night for about a week laugh.gif

Marrisa "The Advanced Member" hehehe - OMG - your invites are sooo sexy! Love them! One creative cousin you have there smile.gif

Jules - how's your rsvp going? looking good now with the numbers? i got some RSVPs back yesterday and i hoping the rest will back in today coz the cut-off is TOMORROW! C'mon people, I have seating arrangements to do!

xbuffyx - thank-you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! another one to find that clipart link so useful! I stayed up to 1am finishing off my OSS - yay! Off to print this weekend biggrin.gif I hope you're feeling better btw.

Ok girls, are we ready for the weekend? What's everyone up to?
MrsO
Candy - aww your post is so sweet. You're right in everything you wrote. It's good to take a step back from focusing on 'the day', to looking at what lies ahead for all of us smile.gif

Pinky - We have a busy weekend. Tomorrow morning we're going to the photographer's for morning tea. FH's bucks is tomorrow night, so I have invited a friend over for dinner/girly DVD's night biggrin.gif On Sunday, FH and my Dad are going to the soccer in Sydney (Sydney FC), so I am going to go to my Mum's.

Puggie
Hehe - testosterone central for your HTB this weekend, Mazz - his bucks AND a footy match biggrin.gif No wonder you're indulging in some girly time with your mate and your Mum!
seedyem1978
man, the vibe in here is so positive this morning - yay!

my de-stress yesterday was speaking to the wife of our MC, and her saying "can I please organise your bridal shower - your future SIL and I know what you'd like and we don't want you to have to organise it".

that totally made my week - I know that she and my future sister in law will do a lovely job - and it takes the pressure off me! my sister (MOH), mum and best friends all live overseas, and while I wanted to do something to celebrate, I was worried about how I'd organise it - the Sunday before the wedding.

yay.
MrsO
Puggie - I know, it's best I let him get it all out of his system tongue.gif Remember he lives in a house surrounded by females (except Daniel, but he is a Mummy's boy)

Seedyem - that is so sweet of them to organise that for you.

Just curious, how many of us are close to Sydney? We should try and organise a get together after all of our weddings, to swap photos? Even if we just did coffee or lunch or something? What do you think? Or is that weird. I have never done online meeting in person ph34r.gif

It's not weird at all, in my opinion! After all - 4 of us Melbourne November twinnies have met up a couple of times, now. In fact that reminds me - OI HARMONIE - what's the date for the next one?!?

Seedyem - I'm having my hens/bridal shower on the Sunday before the wedding, too! We're twinnies TWICE now!
seedyem1978
puggie - yay!

I wondered if trying to plan something so close was crazy, but I feel better to know we're not the only ones.
Puggie
Hehe - well I'm only doing YumCha with a few mates - nothing too full on!
Candy
Amy...did you say 7 weeks...laugh.gif Please PLEASE don't say it like that laugh.gif

Mazz as I live in Sydney a meet is definately possible. Only thing is that its probably a bit far for the other girls in Melbourne. Its a shame that we all live so far away cause it would be lovely to meet all you girls in person. smile.gif

Carla I see you there ... tongue.gif One more night until your hens!!!!!!!!!!!!! smile.gif

Amen to that!! Although, is it me, or are the weeks going by at double speed at the moment???

Great vibe in here this morning girls - I do love this group and wish we could all meet up wub.gif

I think we will be a great support to each in the coming weeks and now I am looking forward to every weekend in November - not just the 18th!

Good to read your post Candy - I mist admit I have been feeling the same - not just a feeling of contentment and deep connection with H2B but also that everyone around me in my family and friends is so excited too. The fact that people are flying from the UK to Oz just for our wedding is amazing to me - I feel very loved!

Haven't seen you in the flesh Puggie but still very pleased to hear this - you will make a beautiful glowing bride!

Buffy that website you suggested has been a godsend for more than one of us now - is there any way of posting our OOS so you can see what a help it has been? I am sooooooo happy with mine now. I have been putting off printing them for weeks just not being 100% with them..... and now I love them!

Great to hear this em - sometimes you just need people to take over with things like this - I am the same with my Hens. I feel like I have got enough on my "organising" plate with the wedding and honeymoon to be worrying about logistics for the Hens. I had decided to cancel the first part of it the other day cos it was all seeming too hard but my MOH wouldn't let me and is now taking over organising it - yay! and whew!

Only other thing for me today is that we are meeting with our wedding coordinator to finalise everything - yippee!
Lady CJ
yeh we should organise something for the sydney girls. though it would be hard as all our weddings are coming up very soon.
kylz4
I don't have time to catch up with everyone right now but i just wanted to say to puggie that i am so glad to hear that your cream is working and you are gonna feel and look great on your big day. Can't wait to see it in a couple of weeks. I think our meet up was arranged for saturday 21st 1pm - not sure where though? Harmonie???? where are we going??? smile.gif

Also wanted to say what a good vibe for a friday biggrin.gif I'm off to go shopping with mum now. gonna go check out some MOB outfits with her. Oh and i definately reccommend a sydney meet up for you girls - we had never done it either but we all got on really well and sat and talked for hours - and i mean hours!!!!! tongue.gif

I'll catch up with everything later if there isn't too much to catch up on- hehe.
Domestic Dreamer
Puggie - So glad your skin's getting better. I'm on meds for my skin too so I hope it's good for the day. Only thing is it makes me more sensitive to light so I've been getting a few extra freckles.

Seedyem - That's really sweet of her to want to help like that! You have to post pics of your shower.

This is the start of the celebrations it seems, which I'm sure contributes to the general feeling of happiness. biggrin.gif

Exactly 5 weeks to go for me. There was a bunch of stuff that I held off until October and now it's here... ohmy.gif But we'll get through it smile.gif

Tonight I'm going out for dinner with some friends from my old workplace and tomorrow I'm having a DIY afternoon with my bridesmaid. I've also got a cupcake and bento obsession at the moment so might do some baking over the weekend and plan lunches for next week.
MrsO
Hmmm maybe we should shoot for December sometime.

My brother lives in Melbourne and I fly down and see him often, so I will let you girls know next time smile.gif

Maiko - your wedding is 2 days before mine....can you believe how close it is! I am getting really excited. October is flying.

I know. Just hope I fly with it. Guess what? My bomboniere comes in boxes of 6. I got 11 boxes so currently have 66. Guess how many I need? 67! That's including h2b and I though so maybe I won't give us one.

Things to do in October:
Find brooches for my 2nd reception outfit
Finish dress alterations and make sash
Finalise lunch menu
Finish bomboniere and programs (that's the biggest job, which bm is helping me with over the weekend, but probably won't be finished for another 3 weeks or so.)

I'm a Syd girl!!! I'm keen for a meet up with you lovely ladies biggrin.gif Maybe sometime in Dec tho coz my weeks are looking busy up until the wedding! Plus off on the honeymoon so won't be back until Dec.

Mazz, I don't think it's weird to meet up in person coz I went to the last I-Do Syd meet and all the girls were so lovely. I was a bit hesitant at first, but it turned out to be a great nite! H2B teased me about it and pays me out every time I log onto the net (he knows that I spend 99% of my time on I-Do biggrin.gif). My friends laugh at me too, but seriously tho, you wouldn't believe how much stuff I've learnt from the girls on here and how many ideas that I gotten from you all as well. Everytime I hear that someone is getting married, I always tell them about this forum smile.gif It's funny coz another I-do chick told me about this forum and how she's hooked on it. So curious little me logged on to see what the fuss was all about. I haven't logged off since! hehehehe blink.gif blink.gif blink.gif
Candy
I'd be up for catching up...

Hello chickadees - HAPPY FRIDAY to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! biggrin.gif

another sydney girl here and even tho ive never been to a meet id love to catch with u - every in our twinnies thread is very - its always great chatting to u guys on i-do so a meet would be great fun!! biggrin.gif but yeah im thinking maybe december too the weeks/weekends are looking chockers in the lead up to the wedding and then were straight off to our honeymoon after that....

Pinky - RSVP's are coming in, not sure were were at right now, got a rough idea last nite and have exactly 100 ppl to hear a yey or nah from and our rsvp dates ends on sunday - so they're better be a whole lotta phone calls over the weekend or something with this info dry.gif but were heading over to mum & dad's tomorrow afternoon to jot down everyone they've heard from over the last couple of days which i havent added onto my spreadsheet so im hoping to reduce the number something fierce by the time the weekend is over!

weekend is gonna be go go go for us....we've off to the opera bar tonight to catch up with some old friends and have a few drinks to de-stress the week away....then off to a meeting with our function co-ordinator to finalise menu's, run sheets, etc etc, then off to meet with the band and go thru some stuff with them and then over to mum and dads's for a late lunch/dinner for dad's b'day....then off for a bit of pampering on sunday while rob does some "boy stuff" with my sister, a mani and a pedi - which i cant wait for coz get this ive never had either!!!

hope everyone is having a great day!!

and Candy can i say u sure put a smile on my face with that really sweet post and actually cheered me up and got me out of the sour mood work put me into....so thank u smile.gif

Perhaps December would be a good time. However Christmas is also in there somewhere which may present a problem laugh.gif But I'm sure we'll work it out.. maybe we could have our own lil' Christmas par-tay? biggrin.gif

I'm glad my post cheered you up. We all have so much to be thankful for and we are GETTING MARRIED SOOON ARRRRRRRRRRGGGHH... laugh.gif...

ANYWAY Girls I have a question.......... I received my third official RSVP card today. Now a few people have RSVP'ed verbally and thats fine. The problem is.. I thought I will start writing all the names down so I don't forget. What if people don't rsvp and just assume they are coming? Like do I really truely have to call everyone and chase them up............!!!!!!!!! because I really don't want to and won't be doing that. Our parents can do that biggrin.gif laugh.gif I just want everyone to rsvp as close to the rsvp date as possible. Am I expecting too much?? What if we forget someone and they just turn up eek and I haven't organised a place for them..!!

I finished my massive assignment today and I'm on a bit of a high and an anti-climax at the same time when I look around at the scattered mess in my house! tongue.gif

mcgraw1967
Just thought I'd pop in and wish all you November girls the best for your upcoming weddings.

The time sure does fly by. It was only yesterday that mine was 12 months away and now its 15 days!! OMG what am I doing here posting when there's still so much to do lol

Anyway hope you day is everything you have always wanted it to be and more
hugs
Lindy
MrsO
Millie - I will go and check out your post in the photography section in a sec.

Lets'a shoot for mid-December then girls? You all will have to organise a place, as I don't know Sydney as well as you all. I'm happy to go wherever though. Pinky - Lisa (moore is her username here) told me about this website/forum through myspace, we became friends there first. I am now hooked as well, it's probably one of the first things I do every morning is log into here) ph34r.gif It's such a nice community though, everyone is friendly and nice.

Carla - HAHAHAHA!!!!! laugh.gif Is your FH going to look pretty and wear make up?

Candy - That's great you finished your assignment, you can enjoy our weekend now.

Jules - enjoy your manicure and pedicure...you won't stop touching your feet afterwards, trust me wink.gif

Juless
wow girls we just got our first "outside" post from Lindy wishing everyone a happy wedding day - how sweet was that!!

oh yeah i keep forgetting about xmas this year!! maybe a tight squeeze on the get together but were all super cool chicks and can manage to squeeze in a mini chrissy/photo exchange day/afternoon/nite somewhere - well ill be up for it no matter what we decide.....

oh Candy dont get me started on rsvp's - i think weve got the slackest group of family and friends in this world who like to leave it all to the last minute.....and there's no way im assuming that anyone's coming - if they havent replied by the end of the weekend were getting our parents to chase up each side so we dont have to worry about it and that way we'll know once and for all who's coming and who's not and then onto the fun seating arrangement task......yikes! ohmy.gif

oh oh oh thats it its all decided im having an early friday afternoon - stuff work (in the nicest possible way)....so seeing as this may be my last post for the today ill wish everyone a fantastic weekend!!!

have a great one
Jules biggrin.gif
MrsO
Lindy - good luck with your wedding!!! You must be so excited biggrin.gif

Jules - go home early and enjoy your weekend, you deserve it.

Carla - If I don't get to say it before you leave work today, HAVE A BALL TOMORROW NIGHT!
Lady CJ
Thanks Mazz!! I will!!!

the girls are planning lots of embarassing stuff for me too that i don't know about, so im sure it will be GREAT!!!!
Domestic Dreamer
Millie - Have replied to your photography thread. Hope you see his portfolio soon sad.gif

Candy - I kept a record of everyone I sent invitations to on a spreadsheet, and updated it as the rsvps came in so it's really easy to keep track of everyone. Used a spreadsheet to do the table seating too, makes it so much easier than moving bits of paper around.

Just had fast food friday at work and we had kfc. I'm having trouble breathing now. Urgh!
j***
Millie - I have posted in your thread about photography. ((hugs)) to you again.

Carla - hehe about the fashion contest! Hopefully you can get access to some pics and show us! Have a FAB time tomorrow - we'll be thinking of you and the bottle of alcohol in your hands biggrin.gif Yep, embarassing stuff is good! keke

Oh lucky you juless with getting a mani and a pedi - i so need one too!

Candy, congrats on finishing your assignment - what a big relief that must be biggrin.gif I'm sure your RSVPs will come rolling in over the weekend. I hate it when people assume that we know that they're coming.

Hey lindy, thanks for your well wishes smile.gif It's getting so close and we're freaking out ph34r.gif ph34r.gif But luckily we are have each other to calm us down - thanks Nov gals biggrin.gif

Mazz - we'll count you in for the Syd meet too. I can organise something when I get back from the honeymoon. I actually met Lisa at the last I-do meet - she's so lovely. She introduced me to her make-up artist who is fabulous - I owe her one!
princess-lissy
Hi girls geez... its been busy in here again today!!

Carla - Have a wonderful Hens party tomorrow!! biggrin.gif

Melle - Will check out your photography thread in a sec...

Lindy- Thanks for your well wishes to all us November brides, good luck with your upcoming wedding!!! tongue.gif

Would love to catch up with all you girls but Im in Melbourne and unfortunately cant make the Melbourne meetup as working till 3pm that day - maybe another time - post wedding?? unsure.gif

Well girls hope you all have a wonderful weekend!! By the way I just picked up my favour boxes from the post office - Yipee!! biggrin.gif
Candy
Amy just a question for you regarding your RSVPS... in your signature where you have RSVP's received.. is that how many people are coming in total or how many invite rsvps u've received back. for example, 2 rsvps received is that 2 couples or 2 invites or 2 actual people? laugh.gif

sorry for the random question.. just curious as I'm adding it to my sig! tongue.gif
Puggie
Hiya, Candy - that's people.

E.g. 1 invite to Mr and Mrs X - when they reply yes, it goes from: 10 YES 8 WAITING ON to 12 YES and 6 WAITING ON.

That's just my technique - do what feels right biggrin.gif
Candy
Okay good because I'm thinking if I do it per invites.. like say per couple for example.. today i got an rsvp that the guy is coming but the girl isn't and I'm like hmm.. how would I record that laugh.gif

Thanks beauty.
marissa
hey everyone!

I'm a wollongong girl, so would love a meet up! I've had a meet and greet before with wollongong girls from another bridal forum and it was fun! If we aim for mid dec, i dont get back from my honeymoon til about the 11th, and i have my graduation ball on the 16th... but anytime after that would be great!!

Candy, i hope my class will remember me when i've finished! I find it funny when they see me at work and they dont quite comprehend what i'm doing there, because as you know, teachers live in the cupboards at school and never leave tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif LOL
I also totally understand where you're coming from with the baby thing.

Anyways, I hope you all have a great weekend!
MrsO
We will have to play the get together idea by ear girls...but I am pretty flexible. Lets try and arrange after our all honeymoons/weddings are over with smile.gif

Am up late tonight, we just watched a movie called Urban Myths: Bloody Mary. It was a daggy horror movie but actually quite good.

Lady CJ
alright girls im off to my hens now!

see ya!!!!
Puggie
Oh - can't wait to hear how you went! I wanna see pics, too!

Went to Mum's today and bought the paper for the OOS covers. Will go into work tomorrow and do them up on the photocopier biggrin.gif The paper matches our invites, placecards, menus, table allocation sign etc. so I am rather pleased!

Also did a ROUGH mockup of our tables setup on my kitchen table. Now obviously there'll be a lot more on the tables, the central candle will be surrounded by the proper berry wreath, I'll have REAL ivory linen on a larger table (not a bedsheet rolleyes.gif) and the napkins are larger, so will fit in the napkin cuff properly etc. but you get the general idea from the attached. Do let me know what you think...

IPB Image

I was rather pleased - I have been worried about the runners 'going' with everything (particularly the notive bonbonierre and the napkin cuffs) as they are a really really unusual colour but now I have seen a sample, I am well pleased! Does anyone else have table setting pics?

Oh - also did a sample menu card today (leaning against the candle in the pic) - what are you guys doing for that?

Off to watch TV now - enjoy, all!
mcgraw1967
Aw arent you guys just too sweet. Thanks for the thanks!

I cant believe this time in 2 weeks time I'll be a Mrs!!

Calm blue ocean!
Calm blue ocean!!

The time goes so fast remember to enjoy your journey to the alter.

Hugs

Puggie just have to say that looks gorgeous! great job indeed biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

i'm off to get my beauty sleep now for my g/friends wedding tomorrow. it's gonna be such a long day!
MrsO
Carla, I wonder how you are feeling this morning....my FH is in bed hungover.

While he was on his bucks last night, I ended up having 4 girlfriends come over for dinner; we ended up staying up until 3am, drinking wine and chatting. It was so much fun smile.gif My kids woke me up at 7:30am though, so I'm definitely going to have an afternoon nap today.

We went and saw our photographer yesterday and he went over which shots we wanted taken, and who we wanted in alot of our photos etc. He takes the most stunning beach shots, so we told him to do our main photos on the beach and up near the lighthouse.

Puggie - your table setting looks really nice, so simple and elegant.

j***
Hello ladies smile.gif Is everyone having a good weekend? Hehe, I wonder how Carla is doing this morning? She's probably still in bed ph34r.gif

Puggie, love love your table setting! I really like the colour and your table runner is gorgeous! I'm jealous tongue.gif

As our menus, I've bought some mini easels (which I will paint to match our colour theme) and our menus will be placed on the easels. Lots of the girls on I-do have done this so I thought it was pretty cool so I went with that. I will have to post a pic when they're done.

Mazz, what a lovely nite you had! Catching up with the chicks is always good aye smile.gif

Good Morning All smile.gif

hope everyone's having a great weekend.....mine's been pretty good....

we met with the function centre coordinator yesterday and wow i had no idea that it was would be so full on - we went thru absolutely every lil detail possible and u know what i loved it!! it was great going thru everything and she gave us some ideas that were gonna work on as well - all in all it was fantastic and H2B fell in love with the place all over again and asked if they'd renovated or something coz it looked so good, coz it was half set up for a wedding that was taking place that nite....and we got the new menu and she said we didnt have to go thru it all right then and there - weve got a stack of "homework" was the way she put it to get cracking on and when we meet up again in about 3-4 weeks we can make our menu choices then!! all in all it was a great meeting biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

then we went for a drive around a few different places checking out locations for our parent pics and i think we may have found one - very happy with that too!!! smile.gif

and then over to mum and dad's for a late lunch - yummo!!!

Hi everyone

Carla - how did your hens night go??? We want pics!!! tongue.gif

Mazz, a night with the girls sounds wonderful. What did your h2b do for his bucks? Andrew's not sure what he wants to do yet, but is thinking along the lines of golf and a bbq, then maybe out to the North 'Gong (pub).

Also, Mazz, who's your photographer?? I have to get in contact with mine again and go over everything, because since we originally booked, we've changed both our church and reception centre.

Puggie I love your table setting - gorgeous and so elegant!

This tuesday we (finally) have our menu tasting - we couldnt have it last week because the kitchen's couldnt get the ingredients in time (or something like that). We get 4 of each course to choose from, and then choose 2 of each (entree, main, desert) for the wedding. These are our choices which we'll be trying on tuesday:

Entree:
- Rigatoni W sundried tomatoes, olives, and a chive cream sauce topped with crabmeat, parmasan and mild chili
- Spicy honey roasted pork loins W an apple and mustard sauce
- Lasagne
- Fritto Misto di Mare - crumbed and deep fried prawns, calamari and fish, served on a bed of lettuce with tartare sauce

Main:
- Pollo Involtini - rolled (cicken) fillet filled with sage, garlic, and swiss cheese
- Vitello con Funghi - veal roll braised with onions, herbs and spices, served with a light wine and mushroom sauce
- Bistecca Arrabiata - sirloin steak trimmed, grilled and spiced with hot chillies and cracked peppercorns, served with brandy and wine
- Pan fried free-range chicken breast served with poached prawns in a champagne chive sauce on roasted vagetables

Desert:
- White and dark chocolate mousse in a chocolate case topped with seasonal berries
- Brandy snap basket filled with cointreau lased strawberries
- Baked blueberry cheesecake with a frangelico sauce
- Chocolate ambassador with chocolate and tia maria sauce

I cant wait to sink my teeth into these meals. I'm not especially wanting all the chilli, but i'll see how spicy it is because it can always be taken out for the wedding.

Anyway, back to these assignments! OMG - one week (well really only two days) left of uni... EVER! YAH!!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
Lady CJ
Im here!

oh my gosh you wouldnt believe my bad luck on my own hen's night.

Well we started with the ghost tour at 7pm, I was dressed in everything hen! pics to follow.

We hadnt had anything to eat or drink before the tour, also because you are not allowed to be drunk on the tour.

Tour was really good & interesting, not really spooky more so a history lesson about the rocks & a few true murder stories & stories about ghost sitings.

But (& here is where my bad luck begins) about 3/4s through the tour i started to feel abit woozy, but I was thinking it was proberly the stories really getting to me. the tour lasted for 2 hrs, we got to Vivaz & I wasnt feeling good at all, it was really embarassing for me as I wanted to party.
I ate some bready at Vivaz & drank water, still felt very nausous & about 1/2 an hour later i was sick in the toilets (remeber not a DROP of alcohol was in my system) so you can imagine how pissed off i was that i was throwing up & i wasnt even drunk!!!!

after that i felt fine & danced for about 1/2 hour with everyone, then it was back to the loo & I said that was a night for me after that sad.gif

It was about 11pm when i left with my mother, i must of had a stomach bug, but i was so so upset that it was my hen's night & I was sick, couldn't drink or dance.
actually there was one point were i was starting to feel sick again & the dj was calling out to all the hens & there i was sitting down.

my bms have promised they will have another night for me soon.

you can't really tell from the photo, but my tiara, bride to be sash, bride to be trangle & Garter all had red flashing lights on them!

Also they made me a bracelette that had bells on them, so anywhere i went you could hear me!
