we have this expo thingy at work today and i got my measurements done:

bp - 130/80 - damn flu, was 115/75 last week
glucose - 5.7 (after lunch, which i'm impressed with cause i ate a cheese and bacon roll and another roll with salad on it)
chlosterol - doesn't register, less than 4.8 (already knew that cause my fasting is 3.2)

then i nearly killed the guy from fitness first... this was a classic

i got on their scales just to check weight, said i already knew i was o/weight, etc, etc, and i wanted to check if i had gained any in the last 6 weeks - asked what i had done differently, said i was eating different now, get on the scales, his jaw hits the ground, goes into the gym spiel - my response 'i'm all but 11 weeks pregnant so i'm not real concerned, just want to make sure i'm not gaining heaps of weight' - he asked to see my test results and i showed him, the look on his face was classic - why can't ppl understand that chubbies are healthy too

he asked if he should work out my body fat percentage - i said to him 'i don't think it's really worth your time do you?' biggrin.gif

just cracks me up cause he had ASSUMED on the way i look that i wouldn't be healthy and that i would be about to have a heart attack or something similar.

side note - i've gained 500g in the last 10 weeks (when i was on my dr scales) - wow - as my dr said to me, 50g a week for 40 weeks = 2kg for the whole pregnancy (that's my wishful thinking!!) can't see that happenening but a girl can dream

i've been pretty careful what i've been eating - not starving or anything like that and i'm probably eating more than usual biggrin.gif

*L* Sam you made me giggle! I am also a big girl, and I'm hoping that I'll have minimal gain over 40 weeks. Chocolate just doesn't taste right any more sad.gif

my dr told me cause of my weight he doesn't expect me to gain anymore than about 4kg throughout the whole pregnancy - is that even possible?? i guess the baby will take everything it needs from me.

i just read the weight he wrote down - there is a massive 5kg difference between their scales and my dr's scales - i know who i believe biggrin.gif
