Did anyone else see the article in the August 17 That's Life magazine about the lady who gave birth via caesarean and pulled her baby out herself.

She's from queensland...it's got pictures and everything.

If you're interested i'll type it up and post it...just let me know...cause it's longish so i don't want to type it up if no one is interested

puts a whole new spin on feeling the babies head on the way out - although you do hear of home births (admittedly in the states) where they get the woman to reach down and grab the baby and pull it out......i'll have to get that's life now for a read

I thought that it was a wonderful and was really happy that the Doctor agreed to the procedure and that everything went well for her so she was in fact able to assist with the caesarean. I actually meant to come in here and mention it as well but i forgot!!!

how in the world did she give herself a c???? i found it hard to shave my legs let along work my hands round that area when i was preggies with emelie and i was a tinsy tummy person too.

Wow!!! Is all i can say!!! When i had Jake the midwife said just after the head came through that i could deliver the baby myself but i wasn't even up for that!!

I saw the woman interviewed on Sunrise a few months a go. It is a wonderful story and so great that there are doctors out there are allowing women to be so involved with caeser births!
