Patricia - ur hair sounds great. I find whenever i get a change it takes me about 48 hours to get used to it. Can't wait to see a piccie though

Uh ur dinner sounded yummy (i am having chicken parmy tonight)
Claire - your hair sounds lovely aswell - can't wait to see a picce. Did you do mushroom rissotto balls - yummo
AM just flicking through a finger foods book i hired from the library and am making myself so hungry
Also I hired a book on "how to knit" cause i have decided i want to knit a poncho for myself (can't find one i love in the shops so will make my own) and also a baby blanket for my SIL.

Hey girls! Sorry I've been such a no-show lately. My mind has been a bit all over the shop, So I just wanted to say hi to you all and read up on what has been going on.
I'd better go back a fair few pages and catch up. I'll be back soon....

Good luck with knitting Kylie. I tried knitting when i was younger but all i could make was a scarf! But im good with cross stitch and painting.
Yes mushy risotto balls, they were very yummy. Love that recipe, its good to have an alternate to risotto.
Ok ill post two pics one of the front and one of the back. Sorry they aren't the best shots but you can see there is still alot of blonde in it, just not what im used to.

Claire - your hair looks great! I really like the colour. And I was so glad to read that Brad is OK, what a relief huh?!
Patricia - am looking forward to your hair shots too

. And a big congratulations on ttc bub number 2! How exciting for you both. And thanks for the compliments on the photos too.
Kylie - Congrats on nearly being an aunty! And I hope the knitting comes along nicely. I would have NO idea where to strat with knitting but it's something I'd like to learn. Let us know how you go with it. And how are you going trying to find Pete's ring? What an awful feeling. You know that as soon as you stop looking it will pop up out of nowhere - always the way!
Matty is back in hospital again today. He is having trouble with his left eye. It sort of collapsed back before christmas. The eyelid looks half closed so we thought it must be nerve damage or something. he has had test after test and they can't find anything wrong with him. He is waiting on the results of one more blood test, so hopefully they come up with answers. It's nice to know that everything comes up negative, that there is nothing wrong with him, but he really wants to know the cause.
Matty and I put together our wedding album last week and unveiled it at a bbq yesterday. It looks great. Now we are just waiting on our coffee table book which should only be a few weeks away

Very exciting!
hi girls i hope you had a nice weekend.
Kylie- i really hope you find petes ring soon, i bet he is feeling really bad that it hasnt been found yet. Good luck with the knititng, i hope you are better than me. I wouldnt know where to start
Claire- i like your hair, i think it looks really nice. Dont stressa bout the inlaws not commenting mine never do and my family never does either. ONe day i went to the hairdresser and they did it a purply couour with a bit of pink in it (i know how it sounds but it looked really nice) and they never said anything.
Patricia- i cant wait to see your hair. Its a bugger that you have too work such long hours on mondays. I always like mondays to be lazy days to me back into the working week. Congrats on ttc baby number too. i thinks great news and corey will be so excited to have a little brother/sister!!
Lisa- Congrats on unveiling your wedding album, i have to find a nice one for me to get ours underway.

I do hope that matt is ok, and that you find out what is wrong really soon
Talk soon

Claire - your hair colour looks stunning - i think it really suits you. Glad you enjoyed the risotto balls.
Patricia - Mondays sound horriable for you. Can't wait to see a piccie of your hair later though.
Lisa - Sorry to hear about Matty - my thoughts are with you both. Hopefully the blood test comes back with some answers for you. It is horriable when u don't know what is wrong and fingers crossed they find out the cause soon. Plz keep us updated.

on unveiling your album - that would have been so exciting!
SJ - Good to hear from you
I tried knitting years ago and wasn't very good, hence the reason i hired the book from the library (it is aimed at kids so should be easy enough to understand

). I am just getting bored at night (have to do somethign whilst watching telly) and i thought knitting would be a good way of keeping my hands busy

Lisa- i hope matty's eye gets sorted out soon. Is his thumb fine now? Glad to hear of the unveiling of the labum, that would have been fun.
sjm- that pink and purple sounds cool you will have to send photos through one day.
Patricia- cant wait to see your pic. Thats a shame you have to work so much today. it must be hard being away from Corie for so long.
Thanks for all the compliments about my hair, i like it when i see me and chloe together..lol

Lisa i hope that the test shows the cause for the problem with matty's eye and i hope its nothng serious and fixable, congrats on your album i can't wait to finish making mine with momento.
Kylie i so know what you mean about having something to do while sitting around watching tv its the same for me and also during the day while corey is playing with her toys or watching her tv, i might make one of those scarfs with that funky material i actually bought one from this old lady at bingo last friday for corey its going to be pink and only $9 i get it this friday if i go to bingo,
patricia
Jun 6 2006, 09:52 AM
you can't really see the blonde through it, I took the photos this morning after straightening it and it took about 5 minutes alone to get the fringe looking separated and wispy.

and i apolygise now for the walking dead look, i had a shit night last night corey decided she wanted to get up at 4.30 and not go to sleep till 5.30 and then wake up at 7am like she always does
patricia
Jun 6 2006, 09:53 AM
this is a close up of my hair because all the full shots you couldn't see the colour it just looked brown and not much blonde, i have figured with my fringe if i don't straighten it i will just pinn it back till it grows that little bit more so i can have it to the side like i wanted if its not straightened my fringe sits on my eyebrows and it looks silly on the side casue its short

Jun 6 2006, 10:16 AM
as i was uploading the photos onto my computer i found this photo i took of corey to put into a nick jr comp where they put the image of the face onto this cartoon boy/girl and they then make a episode of picme - a new series where there are characters and the kids that get picked star in it, i will put a link up for if you want to put Chloe in it claire and for if anyone wants to put a niece or nephew, entries go until June 30th and there is a new kid in every episode, if you do go in it and you get picked and you don’t have Foxtel let me know what date its going to be on (they email you that info) and I can tape it and mail up the tape if you want.

Patricia - I think your hair is lovely - i love the colour! Corey is soooo adorable, thanks for sharing those piccies. How often do you do bingo??
Well i started - (that should read attempted to start

) knitting lastnight. Pete started to pay me out but next minute he was sitting next to me helping me figure out the first stitch

. I kept dropping all my stitches or making them all to tight. At the moment i have a needle 1/2 full of knitting and i want to start the next row - but low and behold the book dosn't tell me how (i am a very visual person when it comes to learning something new). We are off to MIL for dinner tonight so i will take it with me and get her to show me.

Patricia - your hair looks great. The blonde is just the right colour for you, and I know what you mean about 5 mins on your fringe. Why do they always have a mind of their own? Corey is just gorgeous in those photos! I'm getting all clucky again.
Kylie - that's so funny with the knitting. I can't believe it doesn't tell how how to start a new row! You're lucky you have someone to ask. I am looking forward to seeing the finished product.
Matty's test came back negative - again. They say that they have no answers and that if it really annoys him he can have cosmetic surgery done to fix it and make it appear normal. But that's all a bit excessive I guess. I have no idea how much that would cost. We will just have to see how it goes.
I have the final display of our coffee table book. I posted it in the general section too, but here it is for you girls. If you need them, the username is lisa and the password is matt.

Kylie with the knitting to make the second row i thought you just swpapped the neddles around and do the same thing, but i only know scarfs so it could all be different,
Also an update on our photos of all of us i am still in the wood works and like i said to claire once it is all done you will all get an invitation the the grand un-veiling of the masterpiece.

Patricia - thats what i thought to with the knitting but i can't seem to co-ordinate it (being a bit unko and i don't wnat to loose that whole row of stiches). Am sooo looking foward to seeing the piccie of all of us, eagerly awaiting

Lisa - Sorry to hear about Matty being played pass-the-parcel with. I hope someone finds out what is causing it very soon - my thoughts are with you both.
Unfortunatly (sp?) no luck with the ring - not actively looking anymore. Am seriously considering Claires suggestion of a physic.
Patricia - knitting is going ok, just figuring the tension of my stitches. Thanks for your hints on the rows - i understood completely. Glad i have inspired (sp?) you to make a scarve for Corey - and what a gergous colour it is.
Havn't done any knitting for since tuesday night though
Claire - How is Brad feeling now, has he still got much pain??
We had one of my BM little 3yo girl, stay over lastnight. It was Hannah's first proper sleep over (other than at her grandma's) and she was so excited to be here. She was a little gem and we would be happy to have her anytime - an angel she was
Mumma3
Jun 8 2006, 05:14 PM
patricia- Her fav colour would probably be purple. Brad's and mine is purple so we tend to dress her in a lot of purple! Otherwise Pink. What are you up to???
Lisa- i love cross stitch! I can't really knit either so you and i are together there. But think the ability to knit is an ability on its own. From what i remember doing sinple knitting like a scarf is easy but anything else is hard for me!
Kylie- Brad is pretty well now havent heard any winging from him for awhile. But then again i was very unwell with a migrane on tuesday (bedridden all day i had to get him to come home from work and watch chloe) so anything he said then i wouldnt have heard!

Just kidding, he is a lot better now. He is having another check up on tuesday.
That is wonderful about your BM's little girl, she sounds adorable.
Also happy 2 months to everyone. I finally got to send all my forms today after much trouble with finding a JP. So hopefully by next week ALL of my documentation will be changed over to Mrs Smith. After all the trouble i was almost considering keeping my maiden name!
I had an exhausting day today (did WAY too much exercise) so i am off cooking duty tonight, we are having takeout tonigjht. (nothing too fancy this time)

Claire - Glad to hear Brad is feeling alot better - let us know how he gets on on Tuesday. Sorry to hear about your migrane - are u feeling better now??
YAY about getting all your paper work done - i actually have to fill the form in to request my copy of the offical certificate. Good luck changing everything over. Hope your takeout was lovely lastnight.
Lastnight at the Tavern went well, great meal- we love the food there. Pete and I played some keno and he won $120 and i won $60 (same numbers we played last time we had dinner there (on honeymoon) and won the same)

So needless to say they are our numbers now
So what have you all got planned for the long weekend??
Pete has to work sat but has sun/mon off. Sunday we are taking our babbies out for a big outing (propably a fishing picnic somewhere). Monday we are going up the mountian - such a lovely area (Mt Tambourine). I told Pete with his winnings for lastnight he can take me to a winnery for lunch
Hope you all have a wondeful long weekend

Corey's scarf is almost finished hoping to get it done by tonight so i can start my next scarf, we just got back from corey's swimming lesson and im looking at the house work thinking i can't be bothered at least the dishes from last night are done, i have 2 of my sister in laws coming over to do her wedding ceremony cd with Ares and then putting it onto a cd and we are having a champagne lunch because out boys are going to the bucks party, but thankfully Chris is only going to the lunch and not on the bus to BENDIGO!!! (4 hours away from us) and then on Sunday we are having Chris' sister and husband and their little girl coming over for drinks and dinner, its our pay back session we always seem to end up at their place and not leave till 3am thankfully we got corey used to sleeping at different places and also used to loud surroundings so she goes to bed in her older nieces bed.
Any way im rambling again
Kylie im glad you you had a good 2 month annie, we where going to do something but by the time i finshed work and got home it was 7.30 and i was tired, we are going to celebrate our 5 yr annie in 4 weeks , it will be strange celebrating it for the last time i think i might keep it going cos its just as important as the years being married and it means 3 special outings a year instead of 2

Patricia- Wow, busy weekend ahead of you both. Hope you have a great weekend. And thanks for making something for Chloe you are so sweet.
Chloe gets so excited seeing the photo you posted of Corie's on the screen when she is sitting on my lap. It is so cute.
We havent planned anything as yet for the long weekend. I've got the cranks with brad at the moment as he isnt talking to me about anything, i tell him i want to have a conversation and he just sits there and blankly stares at me. We are meant to be discussing whether to have another bub or not and he wont tlak. I feel like im making the decision all by myself. im just completley over everything. Plus chloe is following me around today annoying me. I just feel like running away from the two of them today and going to some planet where they cant contact me!

I hope Brad is willing to sit down and chat soon.
DO you think maybe he is still thinking about weather or not to have another bub in his head and he is not sure in his own mind that is why he is not communicating with you?
Babes feel feel to vent away - that is what we are here for afterall isn't it?? Big ((HUGS))
Hope you have a wonderful long weekend
Patricia - sounds like you have a big weekend planned - hope you guys enjoy it. Wow nearly finished the scarf, you must be fast!! 5 year anny - congrads. I think you guys should still celebrate it - afterall it is the day you first got together - an occasion to be celebrated each year
(that is why we got married the day before our anny so it is now combined

) Have you got plans yet?
I bought some lovely pale yellow wool today to start my SIL baby blanket (can't do pale pink as no-one but immediate family IRL knows it is a girl by SIL choose & i will want to show the blanket off when completed and didn't want to do white) SO i am just about to start that, will keep you all posted
I don't know if u all rememebr but i gave up smoking on New Years Day (cold turkey) and i have been really good - not had 1 at all. Anyway Pete was supposed to give up aswell but that didn't happen (wasn't quite ready and as u might know, you have to ready to do it)
So thismorning he calls me & says don't buy me any smoked today (is shopping day) as i am ready to give up!!!!
I bought him some patches and heaps of chewing gum and hubba bubba in the shopping. Today he has only ha 5 smokes (last of pack) which is soooooooo good for him. He put a patch on straight away and is ofcourse really fighting the craving atm, but i am mega proud of his achievment so far. He has smoked for the past 15 years and we both know it will be the hardest thing he has ever done.
Sorry started to carry on, just wanted to share that with you all - any and all, "no peter no" anti smoking vibes will be greatly appricated
Mumma3
Jun 9 2006, 04:22 PM
Kylie-
im so proud of you for quitting smoking and also so proud of Pete for taking the first step!Iam also an ex smoker so i know how you both feel. Now i can see people smoke and not want one im actually grossed out by it now.
Give pete a big pat on the back for me and tell him that putting on weight is completley natural. I put on weight after i quit smoking as i quit before i feel pregnant but took it up again after bub was born then quit for good when she was about 4 mths old. Plus i had PND so i think i needed something to take my mind it.
So happy for you both.
Patricia- also forgot to mention how happy i am for you both celebrating 5 yrs this year thats fantastic. Our anniversary was never noted so we celebrate it on new years eve/day.
Thanks for all the hugs Kylie i appreciate it, i think i might take up the option of a drink tonight.
Just had a talk to brad on the phone (he called), this turned into a screaming match after him not listening. All he ended up saying was "i dont know why i dont want to talk to you". Maybe he has gone off me and marriage already.
Just had a cry and chloe gave me hugs which was sweet cause she usually laughs if i cry
moore
Jun 10 2006, 10:56 AM
Oh Claire - I'm so sorry it ended like that, it's always hard when you start screaming at each other. Just give it a few days. It sounds like you both just need some time to step back and focus on your thoughts and feelings for a few days. Try to be patient. And no, of course he is not over the marriage sweetie! You've just had a big change in your life with getting married, you're talking about bringing a new life into the world - it must be overwhelming. Just be patient and give yourselves some time to chill out. Pushing is probably the worse thing you can do now. I know when I start to push Matty he just backs away. So try to be calm and don't focus on the bad things. Make him a nice lunch and sit down and talk about happy times - your wedding day, and how adorable Chloe is. Take the pressure off.
And that is just gorgeous that Chloe laughs when you cry, what an easy way to cheer up!
Kylie - that's very thoughtful of you not to make a pink blanket. Good luck with it, I hope it goes well! And isn't Peter fantastic! I'm so glad he's ready so soon! I love the "no Peter no", ha ha ha, I love that ad. I always sing it. I'll be sure to substitute Gary for Peter from now on, to send over the vibes to him. And you are doing so wel! That's over 6 months without a cigarette - YOU CHAMPION!! You've really kicked the habit girl! Congratulations.
Patricia - wow, what a busy weekend, sure sounds like it's going to be a good one! And congrats on your 5 years this month. Our 4 year anniversary is 22nd June, just under 2 weeks away. I wasn't sure if we should celebrate it or not, but like you said, it's better to have more celebrations than just one!! I wonder if I can scam Matty into buying me a present?

Oh my god patricia i cant believe all this crazyness going on with your wedding ring! And i cant believe you have to wait another 6 weeks! I hope that time goes by very quick for you, but im glad you at least have one ring still this time around!
I completley understand about you wanting to wear your wedding ring around certain people due to their reactions. When i was heavily pregnant i could wear my rings and i felt like people were thinkign "she is a young not attached pregnant woman"

Hopefully you will have your ring back by then. I hope you had a good night with your SIL.
Lisa- Yes celebrate the anniversary, one extra gift is always a bonus!
Things are a bit better with me and brad after us getting alot off our chest last night. Since we are both arians we are both so stubborn but the good thing is we can have an argument but then be laughing 2 seconds later.
We are closer to deciding about bub number 2, i found our he is worried about having another one as he is worried i will get PND again and also since i dont have my family close by for support this time around. And he also doesnt want to feel like he pressured me into it this time around. So the choice at the moment is to do it after surgery or to get Mirena inserted for 6 months (instead of 12) which means it will be taken out in december and bubba will be born in september.
So will keep everyone updated on my saga!

Thanks for updating us on the "baby debate" (sorry hope i didn't offend). That is sweet of what Brad was thinking.

How is Matty doing - any news on his eye yet??
Congrads to you both on your 4 year anny. I think you should defo celebrate it and i bet you can get matty to buy you a pressie - just ask nicley and bat those eyelids
Patricia - Sorry to hear about your ring! Thats absoultly horriable service from them. Can they give you a ring to wear in the meantime afterall - it is there major STUFF UP not yours!! I hope you get it back sooner than the 6 weeks. And as the others have said, atleast you have your e'ment ring this time.
Corey sounds cute sitting "reading" next to you when you do your knitting.
IRL = In real life (sorry didnt mean to confuse you, am getting used to all these abbrivations now

)
Pete is doing soooooooo very well with his quitting. Since 8.30am friday (when he had his last smoke), he has only had 3/4 of a cigar. He has gone through so much hubba bubba and chewy and has a sore jaw from all the chewing but its well worth it. The patches are a god sent and worth every cent! Thanks for all your postive vibes girls, i will defo pass them all on to him.
Thanks also for all your congrads to me
Well we had a lovely w'end. Was rainign on Saturday (first day of rain since wedding) so we snuggled and watch movies all afternoon. Went to a friends for dinner. Sunday was still a bit rainy but clearing so we went for a drive with the dogs, looking at land (couldn't beleive the development in some areas). Then yesterday we went up the mountain and had such a lovely day. We visted 4 wineries (did tastings at 3), stocked up our wine supply and then had lunch at the pub (so we could have spirits LOL) on the way home.
