Hellllooo Ladies!

Michelle - is that Creme Egg making you feel any better? Naughty you for putting one out so early! I can't believe Coles is already stocking them! I have to run past very quickly!

Chloe - the article sounds great - any chance of posting some pics? Bummer they got the name wrong. Weirdos!

Beck good to hear from you and good to hear you are well. Got any nursery pics? How exciting!

How is Mumma Laurette and her little man going?

Speaking of 'little men', my little bubby Seamus has got a sore paw! I took him for too many walks over the weekend and he has a bruised paw! Poor thing! He is recovering at home with bandages etc.

Not long now til Thailand...have been busy as anything here trying to get everything sorted out before we go, because our first day back is the first day of Semester so I need to be organised. It sucks planning lessons so far ahead...I just know I will forget them!

Anyway, better get back to it...just over a week to go!

Amanda

Laurette
Hi girls!

Michelle, I hope that you're feeling much better. Again, as Chloe said, we're all here should you need virtual hugs and shoulders and so on wub.gif We all care about you a great deal. xxx

Chloe, so glad that you got to see the article, and that's lovely about your mother having a little sook over the phone wub.gif I dont think that my mother has every cried. I wish I had a sooky emotional mum! lol

Amanda, I hope that you have a wonderful holiday!

Beck, great news on the GD - and dont feel bad about work - trust me, you will need the rest more than you think. Take your time with everthing and make the most of your time off. There's no going back now!

I have posted my birth story in the Birthing Expereince forum - I would love if you girls would have a read about Xander's arrival wub.gif

I have so much to do today and just cant get motivated
magnetique
Laurette - have read your story. It is so moving. And scary. How did you cope!?!? I think I might have to wait a bit longer, I'm too frightened to go through it I think! Will have to get some of your strength!
--M--
Amanda hope you enjoy your holiday smile.gif And hope Seamus is better!
beckabunny
Ok, sorry it has taken me a week to do this, but, here is some pics of the still slighly messy but complete nursery.

Wow Bec, it looks sensational! You've done a wonderful job!
--M--
Nursery looks great bec!!

I've just finished watching our wedding tape after searching the entire house and searching through the many boxes I still haven't unpacked ph34r.gif for the charger for the video camera. I had a little teary, seems so surreal like we have been married for ages - was good to watch again. Made me miss him a lot though sad.gif For the record - he been gone 78 days and I see him o/s in 87 days. Have been getting his valentines day present ready - I have made him a booklet of definitions for love, loyalty, adoration, loneliness, reunion etc and various love quotes and lyrics. I have made him a CD with songs that are getting me through at the moment, have included some brand new very lacy very sexy lingerie wink.gif have printed off about 50 pics of us for him to put on his wall next to his bed, still have to get a card (or make one) and some chocs. We normally don't do anything for V day as he is usually away, but thought I would make an effort to cheer him up.

Today I have also been through more display homes, thing I may have found a house for us, its all starting to come together in my head what I want (N as well, obviously)

Its been stinking hot and humid here lately, reminds me of Darwin.

Hope your all having a wonderful long weekend and I hope the packing is going ok Laurette.

Mxxx
magnetique
Howdy all!

Sounds like some good ideas for V-Day Michelle, I'm sure Neil will love them! Bec - the nursery looks great! And Laurette - I love your new sig. Suppose you've been dwelling a bit on the yummy mummy forums have you??? Looks like Xander is coming along in leaps and bounds!

Well, as you can see on the ticker, only a few days left till we go to Thailand, so I am a bit excited about that. Have to get through a few days of work first though sad.gif

Had a nice long weekend, went to Sydney and then back home for the rest of it. We had some friends up who only went home this morning, so I have to go home tonight and PACK! WOOHOO!

Chat soon!

Amanda
--M--
Amanda - all the best for your holiday!! Have fun, and stay safe..
--M--
Just rescuing this baby from the black hole. Hope you are all well. I'm doing good. Laurette how did the move go?
Laurette
Hi girls

The move went pretty well, I think - though we're still unpacking, so I'll get back to you on that!

Very very tired at the moment, but that's to be expected. Damn this mummy business is hard work!
--M--
Hey Laurette, don't stress about unpacking everything, I still have boxes here that I haven't even looked at yet and probably won't until I know where I will be living after June.

How is our little man? I gotta say I think he looks exactly like Glenn. Can't believe he has been here for nearly 2 months.

Well we have some cyclone thing going on up here, has rained nearly non stop for a while now. Wish it would bugger off and move down south where it is really needed, such a waste up here. They think the cyclone might cross land and come over this side of Nth Qld, everyone was at the shops today stocking up. Ah the joys of living in the tropics.

Heard from N last night, he sounded really lonely. He's been gone 90 days tomorrow (yes, still counting each day)
--M--
Helllooo *hears echo*

Oh well I will just chat to myself tongue.gif

So the cyclones fizzled out. we have had 3 days of sunshine now, its nice to see. The dates for N's break has changed, again... Should know for certain in a few days then I'm going to go and book my plane tickets before they change again.

So its coming up to our 1st wedding anniversaries soon - are you doing anything exciting? I will probably go out the night before mine for dinner and drinks, to try and celebrate in some way.

Laurette
Hey Michelle...

Not too much happening here, having to finish unpacking because we're having a guest on Wed night and they need somewhere to sleep.

I cant believe that Neil has been gone for 90 days! ohmy.gif I hope that you get a date from them soon so you can look forward to your trip!

For our anniversary, we were hoping to organise Xander's christening, since it will be on a Sunday... though I havent done anything about it yet. Better get to it I guess.
--M--
Oh how special will that be to have his christening on your 1st wedding anniversary wub.gif
--M--
The dates for our break have been changed, again. Lucky I have been slack and haven't booked the tickets - I knew they would change again.

Anyway, its only 1 week earlier than last time so no big deal, but its starting to sounds pretty good - 63 sleeps now til I see him biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
beckabunny
That's such a neat idea planning Xanders christening for your 1st wedding anniversary!! Good luck with the organisation!!

Hooray for only 63 sleeps til you see Neil Michelle!!

I start my birthing classes this Thursday, so i'm pretty pumped to find out what i'm in for. I stop work this Friday, which is excellent, coz i've really had enough!! Also having my baby shower this weekend, and i'm very excited about that. So basically i have a very exciting and busy next couple of days!!

It's Mark's 25th birthday next Tuesday, we're going out to dinner with his parents on that night, and I have planned a surprise trip on Puffing Billy as his present.

We haven't booked or organised anything for our 1st wedding anniversary yet. We won't be able to get up to anything too huge as i'll be 36 weeks by then, but we'll probably pick a really nice restaurant and go out for dinner, and maybe a movie if there's anything worth seeing.

Here's my latest belly pic, taken today 32W 3 days

IPB Image

Beck
--M--
Wow Beck you are looking great! Growing a nice healthy boy in there. Have fun at the birthing classes!

Well, my tickets are booked. I am feeling a lot poorer but looking forward to going over and seeing my lover boy wub.gif
Laurette
Oh yay Michelle! I hope that that time goes so fast for you both! wub.gif wub.gif It's all getting so real now!

Beck, you're looking amazing! wub.gif Isnt finishing work the best? lol, although I got put in hospital 3 weeks before I was supposed to finish, so didnt really experience that properly! lol. I hope that you have an excellent time at your baby shower, and hope you get thoroughly spoilt wub.gif

Hoping Amanda is having a nice holiday!

and where is lil miss Chloe? Hmm?

Well, today being valentines day is the first anniversary of my grandfather's death, you might remember he died just before our wedding last year... and today we're burying his brother sad.gif So very sad, it's going to be a hard day for all of us sad.gif Luckily for me, his brother, our Uncle Bob, lived out here, so I dont have to travel too far to go to the funeral, any my uncles/aunties will be able to come back here and see Xander this afternoon too. Hopefully that will make them a bit happier.

So, Valentines day is never a happy day really, coz Glenn's grandfather died on 14 Feb too, a few years back, before I knew them. But we exchanged beautiful cards this morning and I bought Glenn some man perfume (as he calls it) and I got a 'voucher' for dinner out wherever I choose (funny how he gets to enjoy my present too! lol)

Hope you're all having a wonderful Valentines Day, our first married wub.gif
--M--
Oh Laurette I am so sorry to hear sad.gif I hope the day goes ok (well, as good as it can) and that Xander doesn't get too stressed out with the visitors (you too) Your Valentines day cards and gifts sound nice, I am supposedly getting flowers delivered tomorrow (so much for a surprise hey laugh.gif)

I have seen Chloe around, she just forgets to come visit us in here. I wonder if Amanda is back also?
Saffire
I'M HERE!
I'M HERE!!!

sorry sorry sorry- i've only intermittently popped in and out of here - been somewhat busy with work (for a change!).

HAPPY V-DAY EVERYONE!

We're having a group of people over for a romantic group bbq in our new backyard smile.gif Takes the focus away from being forced to go out and eat in a restaurant with a overpriced set menu I guess! Despite the fact that we usually don't celebrate v-day, Alex went out last night without me knowing and bought me a huge bunch of long-stem red roses... I on the other hand did not get him anything but my utter devotion and pledge to be a faithful wife for at least a couple more years laugh.gif laugh.gif

Laurette your one-year anniversary christening idea sounds utterly perfect!!!! What a beautiful way to celebrate smile.gif Gosh I'm sorry to hear how sad Valentines day is for you and your family. In many ways I feel that the last year has been sort of like four weddings and a funeral. I'm thinking of you and hope the day goes as well as can be expected...

Michelle - congrats on booking your tix and having the holiday moved forward wink.gif At least its moving in the right direction eh? You are going to have the most fabulous fantastic trip - I really wish you'd reconsider taking me along... Hope the 'surprise' flowers are lovely!!! lol.

Beck - whoahhh!!!! You sure you've only got on bun in the oven? Your belly looks fantastic!!! and HUGE!!!!!! In a good way of course tongue.gif I eagerly await the coming of another March twinnie nephew/neice smile.gif

Amanda - don't have too much fun in Thailand. oh, OK - do - have so much fun you almost don't want to come home except you miss us here too much you feel compelled to return!

Well we have booked our plans for our one-year anniversary - we're going to Hawaii for 4 days! Then we'll come home via Brisbane to visit the rellies before my birthday (we haven't been back in Brissie for along time and the parentals are starting to fuss). I'm counting down and trying so hard to save for the shopping - oh the shopping...Gawd I love all those Victoria's Secret shops.....

Have a lovely v-day everyone!!!
--M--
Hey Chloe - as much as I'd love to meet you I will have to pass on you coming over with me laugh.gif

How nice that you get a mini break in Hawaii for your anniversary?! Hope you have fun and enjoy the shopping smile.gif

Has anyone been to Hong Kong? I need recommendations as I am staying there by myself for 2ish days on the way back. Little bit scared about that. Actually scared about the whole thing, traveling over by myself and seeing him again after 5 months. Eeeek.

I've been watching proposal clips on youtube, now all sniffly. Brought back memories from my proposal almost 3 years ago now...

You probably get sick of my countdown, but he has been gone for 14 weeks tomorrow, and 100 days on Sunday. Still not halfway yet, but almost.......

--M--
Oh and I just got a delivery of a huge box of flowers and lindt chocs. They are lovely but the card just made me bawl my eyes out. So sweet.
Laurette
Never sick of your countdown Michelle! I love seeing your reunion getting closer and closer wub.gif

I am so glad to hear that your flowers and choccies arrived! I hope you're in the process of taking us a picture of the flowers!

Chloe, wonderful to see you here! That's unreal that you get to go away on a trip like that for your honeymoon wub.gif That's so very exciting! And I am sure that all your parents will be very very happy to see you!

Well, our day went OK yesterday. Xander was very good, and gave my aunties and uncles lots of cute looks wub.gif he's such a good baby, but I think a bit cranky that I left him yesterday, he doesnt drink the same when I am not feeding him. Funny lil fella. He's 2 months old today, so that's a bit hard to believe! feels like he's been here for so much longer, yet that seems like such a long time!

I've been to Hong Kong quite a few times but this is a few years ago - I used to work for the Hong Kong Tourist Association... for a few months.. hated working there but the city itself is very interesting and exciting...

I'd stick to the main areas - it can be somewhat dangerous especially by yourself so I'd stay in the safer more mainstream shopping districts...You can spend a whole day shopping in Causeway Bay (catch a MTR there - underground subway system) and mosey over to the Peak - there's a tram that takes you up to the Peak which is lovely to look at especially at night time. Actually, I could spend at least a week exploring around the shopping areas of Hong Kong alone - I used to go visit my dad when he was an expat there and I'd roam around the city by myself most of the time.....There are heaps of shopping centres that are crazy huge too - like at least 7 floors of shopping...

If you're brave you could take one of the boat/ferries out to one of the islands... Hong Kong is actually very green but most people think of it as a concrete shopping jungle smile.gif

Laurette - Xander is unbelievable cute. Way too cute - he should be arrested he is too cute.
--M--
Thanks Chloe - the travel agent is talking about me staying in Kowloon? something like that. She said its on Nathan Road which has some good shopping. I am only there for 2 days but don't really want to venture out by myself so want to book onto a day tour or something, where they pick me up from the hotel and drop me back. Shes also trying to talk me into a night cruise/cocktail party, but there is no way I want to be in a foreign country, with drunk idiots as a single girl. Just makes me sick thinking about it.
magnetique
Hello Ladies!

Have just landed back in the country, had a fantastic time, will have to fill you in on it all once the rush of first week back at work quietens down. Man I hate the post holiday crap.

Sounds like you have all been busy, so I will read posts and catch up, and get back to you!
--M--
Good to see you back safe Amanda! Today I am off W. dress shopping with my little sister, how exciting. Its so much better doing this not being the bride, I can just sit back and relax at this wedding laugh.gif Well I am MOH so can't sit back but I think I will enjoy this wedding a lot more because I am not the centre of attention - hated that!
Laurette
yay, glad to hear you're back Amanda and that you had a good time! Sensational smile.gif

Michelle, have fun dress shopping! Cant wait to hear all about it!
Saffire
I've been having a really rough couple of days and tonight I decided to hoe into a lovely bottle of Rosé...

So here I am! Slightly pissed!!!

laugh.gif Chloe, too bad we live so far away I could have used a drinking partner last week when I had my half way meltdown. Hope your not too hung over tomorrow, and more seriously hope whatever was bothering you is resolved. xx

ps. went to news agency with my sister and picked up the mag that you are in, and I was like "oh I know her, she is my wedding twin" sister looked at me like I was a bit of a nerd tongue.gif
Saffire
ROFL - How hilarious Michelle!!! How fun to be helping your sister out with her wedding... I'm jealous it sounds like so much fun!!! (minus the stress hehehe)

Hmmn I don't think I got drunk enough last night... I'm not THAT hung over today lol!

Needless to say I'm not really doing too much activity today laugh.gif huh.gif tongue.gif
--M--
Yep, I am loving it so far knowing that I won't be responsible for everything! I am MOH and N will be best man at this stage I think, he hasn't been officially asked as they are waiting for him to return, but I think thats sweet. The dresses that I tried on as MOH are hot! Sis didn't have so much luck as her bust is huge something like 12G or H (seriously) but has a 10-12 waist so she will have to get something custom made I think.

Glad your not too hung over today, you will have to try harder next time laugh.gif
Saffire
Crikey! Gotta compete with March 2007 and 2008 now to find our Marchies thread!

Just popped in to say that... Over and out!

tongue.gif laugh.gif blink.gif tongue.gif laugh.gif
Laurette
Hello.... Michelle, glad to hear you liked the dresses, Chloe, hope you're
OK!
--M--
Hey Mrs Chee Chee, how are things going?

Chloe, I don't think I replied in the other thread but I LOVE your chair, looks very swish. Do you want to come up and be our interior designer when we build because we have the decorating tastes of grandmas! laugh.gif

Countdown: Over 15 weeks gone now, and I leave in 7 WEEKS for my holiday!
Saffire
Michelle - WOW!!! SEVEN WEEKS!!!!!!

WHOOOOO HOOOO

Laurette - I'm going to reply your beautiful email but seriously, your little man is THE CUTEST ADORABLE CUTEY PIE EVER!!!!!! Oops, I think I'm sounding like a broken record - but its not my fault, its Xander's lol!

2.5 weeks until Hawaii.

I so need this break. Work sucks at the moment (I'm still working now) and I'm seriously thinking of chucking it all and studying interior design... Only I can't afford to quit my job sad.gif. Freakin mortgage...
--M--
Yes I think interior design would be more rewarding than a rep. Although you get all the neat nicknacks, such as the pens and crap. I love all that cheap stuff with drug companys plastered all over it laugh.gif , I have those pens lying all around my house (thanks to a certain kitten who steals them to play with).
Saffire
laugh.gif laugh.gif

Ew I hate those pens - they're always breaking on me and they only come in black (mind you I've had 4 years of thousands and thousands of these plastic cheap pens)...I always love going to Office Works and buying all sorts of (non-black) pens and then claiming the cost back for work hehehehehe. I'm sure my manager must look at my expenses and think - why does Chloe need pens? Surely she has thousands in her boot?

Anyway, we aren't doing any pens or other stationery any more. Just one of the 'ethical' things we're doing to ensure we can't be construed as 'bribeing' the psychiatrists...Although why a doctor would be bribed by a measely pen I have no idea...

What I can't leave behind (as a rep) are the perks and the pay sad.gif Mainly - my car allowance...If I quit my job I'd have to pay off my car on my own.. And I'd probably have to take a pay cut too (espcially if I want to try something different) and we probably couldn't afford the car and the mortgage to do this...

Arrgghghh!!! My soul belongs to the bank!!!!
Laurette
Oh, it sucks... I have many many years of poorness coming to me... being on one wage is such a pain - I am so glad we dont have a mortgage...

Chloe, you would be an awesome interior designer. Is there a course that you could do via correspondence?
Saffire

But Laurette you have Xander so you will always be rich with Love!!! wub.gif

Me on the other hand - hehehe if I change jobs, there'll be no room for kiddies... We'd be scraping by - unless Alex goes and doubles his pay....ooh yeah! Let's do that! I'll make Alex earn more money and then I can do what ever I want!!!

It's a plan - a feeble one but a plan nonetheless laugh.gif

That and winning the lotto biggrin.gif

Laurette - not sure but I'm going to do a bit of research to see how one becomes an interior designer...
becg
hello girls, i know that i have not been around but i, hoping that you all wont mind if i drop in here n have a good look around n post all about life.

I think i have alot of catching up to do.
beckabunny
Hi girls,

How are we all?

I'm ok. I have been very busy with all sorts of stuff including ending up in the delivery suite twice so far. First time i had bad period type pains, second time, i had bad back pain, plus heaps of downward pressure on my cervix.

Bub has dropped down, but i'm not sure at this stage whether he has fully dropped into the pelvis or not. At least i know that he is head down.

We're getting the car seat fitted this weekend and from here on in pretty much just sitting around waiting for things to start officially. I still have high hopes of making it to that concert in late March, but at this stage i'm really not confident that bubs will be willing to wait that long. I would be willing to lay down money at this point to bet that i'll be a March mummy, not an April one.

Oh well! Kind of feel like a walking time bomb. We have a waterproof cover on the bed, waterproof blanket on the couch and we're putting a waterproof protector in the car. I feel like i should b e wearing a big fat t-shirt that screams "walking hazard".

Ah well, time to play the waiting game i guess......

Beck
Laurette
Oh wow Beck, things are getting close! How excitement!

Bec, great to hear from you! Cant wait to hear all about what you've been up to!

Hey, did you all know that our lovely Jo (danicing girl) is also preggers? i noticed in the preg forum the other day! How exciting!
--M--
Hi Girls, its our 1st wedding anniversary this month. Is anyone else wondering what happened to the last year - perhaps its just me but I think its flown by. 1 year of married bliss, many, many more to come wub.gif Remember this time last year we were running around like headless chooks, stressing ourselves out...ah the joy (so glad thats over laugh.gif )

BecQ good to see you - you will have to update us on what you have been up to over the last few mnths smile.gif

Beck - it sounds like you are getting so close, how exciting! Can't wait to hear when you have your boy wub.gif

Laurette How are you doing? Any new pics of Master X?

Amanda, you have to come back and update, let us know how your holiday was!

Chloe - you must be getting ready for your holiday soon as well.

I have got temp work for a few weeks so hopefully that will make time go a little faster for me. Offical stats as of today is - gone: just over 16 weeks. I see him in : just over 6 weeks. Getting a bit nervous about travelling alone, but absolutely hanging out to see my beautiful husband.

I don't know if I told you but he has injured his ankle over there pretty bad, is on crutches and his whole foot has swelled up and is a lovely shade of blue/black/purple and yellow unsure.gif He had an xray but nothing broken just snapped a few ligaments. Pain was so bad he needed morphine, which knocked him around and the next day in the shower he passed out from the pain. sad.gif That was early last week, was very upsetting for me as I just wanted to be there to make him feel better. But things are getting better, I am feeling 100% better and my countdown is looking really healthy biggrin.gif

Wow such a ramble.
Saffire
Where has all that freakin time passed?!?!?!?

As you said Michelle - this time last year we were glueing things and ... Oh yes that's right - I had no dress !!!! laugh.gif laugh.gif

Bec - Wow! I can't believe its almost time already! I can't wait to see gorgeous baby photos and I'm looking forward to being another March Twinnie Auntie wink.gif

Laurette - How is gorgeous Xander going? Handsome as ever???

Amanda - Get your a## in here and update up on your holiday! It's all part of the building of excitement for my holiday in 1.5 weeks time!!!

Michelle - Oh dear what a pain (pardon the pun) for Neil to have sprained/done-something-really-bad-to his ankle. How did he do it? OMG he's on Morphine!?! I hope he's recovered by the time you get over to see him - there might be lots and lots of walking in Rome... Then again - you might end up stuck in the hotel for quite some time wink.gif

Gosh I'm so excited to hear its only 6 weeks until you see Neil again! The light at the end of the tunnel is here!!!

Jo!!! If you are around... anywhere... CONGRATULATIONS!!! We miss you in here and its wonderful to hear of your news (what would we do without I-do??? hey that kinda rhymes!).

OK well my news is that we have extended up Hawaii trip to 6 days instead of 4. We realised it was pretty ridiculous to go all the way to Hawaii and use up my last frequent flyer points just for 4 little days. Al we were going to do is go to Brisbane afterwards and just hang out with family - which we will still do but we have 3 days to do this in now instead of 5. 5 days with family is just too long... laugh.gif

MORE shopping for me in Honolulu!!! (damnit have to ration my money and spread my spending over 6 days now laugh.gif).

Over and Out
Chloe xoxoxo
beckabunny
Oh Hawaii for 6 days!! Very Jealous Chloe!!

Sorry to hear about Neils ankle Michelle, i hope it gets better really soon!

As for me, I am coasting along just fine, i'm 8 months tomorrow, so not long now. Still waiting for bub to drop fully down into my pelvis and stay there!! He's got 'til 14th March (my next appointment) then i'll probably start getting glares of concern from my obs, and she'll start throwing words around that i really don't want to hear, like 'c-section'. So lots of crossed fingers and dropping vibes are neede please!!!

Here's a belly pic, taken tonight.

IPB Image

Beck
Saffire
Oh wow Beck! Sure you don't have two in there?!?!

Baby Beck - please drop down. It won't be scary - really!!! Promise!!! And there really nice things on the outside waiting here for you (well not ntil you're old enough but...) like Ice Cream!!! and Chocolate!!!! and...Shopping!!!!!
Saffire
Oooh and I forgot to mention.. How crazy is this?

Our wedding has been featured in a hong kong fashion magazine ohmy.gif. It's the march edition of inMAGAZINE. The editor sent me a pdf link to the whole magazine last night and we have a 2 page spread (as in 2 A4 pages opp eachother). This time all names are correct laugh.gif

beckabunny
Happy 1st Anniversary Laurette and Glen!!

Have a good one twinnie!!
