Chloe and Amanda, good to hear from you. Amanda, how are your parents doing? Look forward to hearing about this new job that you're excited about! biggrin.gif

Chloe, cant wait to see some pics of this house of yours - piano, photo wall, bin even!

Michelle, I hope that Piggy is starting to calm down for you!

I am so glad that it's the weekend smile.gif I have Mon/Tues off as well, so that will be good.

I posted a massive update in the preg section if anyone is interested - it may have fallen over to the second or third page by now (depending on how many posts you view to a page) I hope that you'll all have a look - there are nursery pics there too.

Will be 31 weeks on Sunday! Whoo!

Also, I only have 4 weeks of work to go. So So scary. Need to get cracking!
beckabunny
Yes Michelle, my scan was on Friday, i have been a busy little bee with my brothers 21st and stuff, but i'm here now.

It's definately a BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He is very cute and he is an exhibitionist!! His heartrate was 140-something, he has all 8 fingers, 2 thumbs, and 10 toes. His feet currently measure about 3.5cm long and he currently weighs approx. 400g. Head to bum he is currently about 16cm. All his other measurements we spot on according to his dates so he's definately growing well. My placenta is in a really good spot, so they can't see any reason at this point why i couldn't have a natural birth.

IPB Image

He was being very cute and blowing bubbles during the ultrasound.

And just in case you had any doubts about him being a boy...

IPB Image

like i said, an exhibitionist!!!

Wow Beck that is amazing! Congratulations to you and your hubby for making a healthy little boy!! wub.gif wub.gif

Saffire
Yay Beck!!!!!

What fabulous news!!! Now you can start referring to the baby as the little guy or even saying 'him' lol smile.gif

OK by popular request, here are some updates on our renos downstairs...It's not finished yet tongue.gif

Scary:
IPB Image
(Spot GiGi - she's playing 'where's Wally?')

Painting the cornices - the boys made an absolute mess on these so I had to do all of them myself... here I am looking very crazy and pretending to lick the paint (must have been the fumes lol)

IPB Image
(Cognac insisted on sleeping under my ladder all the way through heheh)

And almost finished (missing new furniture and rug and pictures for wall):

Laurette
WOW Chloe - it's looking amazing! I wanna see pics of the bin that Alex fitted though! he he he.

Your puppies are SO gorgeous! We MUST have more photos of them please!

ARGH! Look at that TV on the wall! My GOD! We need a pic of that too please.
Saffire
Laurette - WHOAH 31 WEEKS?!?!???!?!?

heheh ok will endeavour to take a pic of the bin later tonight hehehehe....

Laurette
Um, yep - over 32 weeks now, and even had a few days in hospital.

This pregnancy will not be extending past 38 weeks - or the middle of jan!
---
I nearly forgot about this thread til I saw it pop up. Chloe your house looks great. So clean hehe want to come and clean mine too?

Laurette, I hope your doing ok, I am thinking of you xox

This is what I got today. His name is Thomas, sorry about the bad photo but the camera scares him.

IPB Image

He will be the man of the house til his daddy comes back wub.gif Speaking of him, he has been gone 4 weeks tomorrow. Some days it seems to be going quick other days it drags. Have had a bad week this week with the black hawk crash for a few obvious reasons, and we also know the man who is missing so its a bit sad sad.gif

Piggy isn't sure about Thomas yet, shes not real impressed. A few hisses from her, but hopefully they will be mates real soon.

Saffire
Michelle oh wow!!!
Your new furbaby is adorable!!! And what a cute name Thomas!!! hheheh

Laurette - I hope everything is going well and that you stay out of hospital until it is time for a special birthday!!!

Well as Michelle already knows, I too have a new furbaby laugh.gif

Everyone.. Please meet Bailey (95% sure that is his name now.. heheh).

IPB Image

His breeder has been calling him Billy so I think Bailey sounds very similar and would be easier for him to adjust to the slightly different name...

First exploration site - investigating the shoe rack!

Hey Kathy great to see you! We did a tour of the wineries in Swan Valley, which is close to Margaret River. We took a boat cruise up the Swan River, got off and met a little tour bus and did the tour from there. Some yummy wines from that area, I brought some back with me but alas, Qantas idiots were rough with my bags and some bottles smashed sad.gif My clothes smelt like I was an alcho as they absorbed the wine! N doesn't drink but he had a great time on the tour as well, he was the entertainment rolleyes.gif for the tour, everyone loved him wub.gif

Chloe Baily is gorgeous, as I said in the other thread smile.gif Hows it going with 3 dogs in the house?

Piggy still hates Thomas, although she has started to get curious and now actually sniffs him before bashing him. Before she would just launch at him at bash him blink.gif Don't worry I always supervise and don't let her hurt him. Shes just a bit jealous at the moment.

So, are we all ready for christmas? As much as I find it depressing, I am trying really hard this year to make the best of it. My bro isn't coming up now (long story) so that sucks but oh well. My shopping is nearly all done, I have offered to make a roast and choc pav to eat, and have also started compiling a xmas song cd (these songs make me feel like crying) but I am trying. I can't change whats going on so will make the best of it. And have plenty of prawns and champers on the day to make it bearable smile.gif
Laurette
Michelle, your Christmas plans really sound wonderful - you will love sharing it with your mum wub.gif And I wanna come for the roast and choc pav too!

Thomas is just beautiful wub.gif And I am sure that he will do an excellent job of looking after you while Neil is away. Those 4 weeks do seem to have gone pretty quick for me - I hope that they continue to go fast for you too. Once you get past Christmas, time will fly... January is always gone before we know it!

Chloe, Bailey is just beautiful! I look forward to seeing many more pictures!

Kathy, so good to hear from you - I am glad that you are having a good time! Hope that you have lots of pics to share with us on your return smile.gif

As for me, I have got to the stage of being a fat, uncomfortable, hot, awkward pregnant woman. It's getting to be a bit much, but as of today/tomorrow I have about 5 weeks to go - this baby is going to be coming out early. I hope around the 15th of Jan.

As for our Christmas, it's not going to be huge. We will be having my family (mum, stepdad and two brothers) over for Christmas breakfast and to do presents early and then we will go to Glenn's parents place for lunch. He will no doubt stay there for the afternoon with all his cousins having a bit of a piss-up, I would say that I will come home for more of a rest and then head back later to scratch for dinner and pick him up smile.gif Provided I am still allowed to drive...

Just so you all know what's been going on, here is a recap from my thread in the preg section....

QUOTE
OK, so here’s where we start…. This time last week I went to my obs and my BP was measured at 140/90 which wasn’t good – he said that he would let it go for that day, as I had had a hectic day, and was a bit stressed out with the IL’s and some of my own family stuff that was going on. So he asked that I have it checked at the clinic at the chemist each day to monitor it, and should it get any higher, to go back to him to see what solution could be found – he told me that it probably would go up, and that BP medication would most likely be the result. He also told me straight out that if the tablets were not effective I would be off to see the obstetric and neo-natal specialist in Wagga.

So the next day I had my BP checked and it was up to about 158/108 – from memory. I have had so many readings over the last week that I cant remember which ones came when. I am sure that I posted it back in Jan mummies after I got back to work though…. So I went back to the obs and was put on the BP medication – 250mg of Aldomet twice a day.

Over the rest of the week, I took the tablets and had my BP monitored, which continued to rise unfortunately. By Sunday when I had it checked at the maternity ward (chemist not open) it was up to about 171/118 (again, I am just trying to remember). So they wouldn’t let me go home, which is fair enough.

Glenn was on the golf course, so I rang him and left a message and he came up as soon as he got that. I was stuck in bed and not allowed to have visitors, so I sent him back to play his last nine holes and then bring up my PJs and toiletries etc when he had finished. I tell you what, it was the quickest golf I have ever known him to play

He told me later on that night that when the midwife spoke to him, she mentioned that if it had got any higher, I would have started to fit (had a seizure or something) and that’s why she wouldn’t let me go home to get my own clothes etc (I had gone up to the hosp alone) and I was so upset by everything that was happening that I was crying and seeing stars and so on. I have to say though that I have so much faith in our little hospital now (you may remember my post a week and a bit ago about labouring in Temora fears). So I was a bit of a mess – stuck there alone with no idea what was happening to me. I tell you, I have never been so glad to see my husband as when he got back from golf that day!

So I think that the chat that he had had with the midwife really gave him a bit of a shock.

They upped my meds to double what I had been taking previously, and it seems to be helping, although not really working to the extent that it should. My obs came in that night and spoke to me about what was going on, and he was wonderful. I cant fault him at all at the moment! So he mentioned that if all goes to plan, and if the meds work, best case scenario is that he will induce me a couple of weeks early – between 37 and 38 weeks, meaning that my BP will be able to handle it. If not, then I could be booked for a c-sec that week when the travelling anaethasist is in town for their surgery days.

So I stayed overnight, cried when Glenn left and for about an hour after, and then went to sleep late. I hate sleeping in hospitals. So uncomfortable! I am nearly as wide as those damn beds and it feels like I need to do a 10-point roll-over turn every time I need to move!

Then the next morning I was up and bouncing, ready to go home until obs came in and shattered my dreams – had to stay in another night and rest some more. Again, I cried (seeing the theme here??). Luckily, Glenn’s rostered day off was yesterday, so he was around to stay with me and I can see that he was really bored, but he stayed all day and chatted with me (as he should! PMSL) and that was great.

I have never done so many sudoku in all my life… and am sure that I have peed in a cup more than I have peed in a toilet lately...

Last night the BP was a bit better, although still too high…

This morning the obs came in (very early!) and checked me over, took my BP and gave me my meds and did my CTG trace all himself (midwife noted I was privileged!) – I think because he had another patient labouring up there that he was waiting for progress from. He told me that it was still too high (was still about 135/90) but he let me go home as he could see that I wasn’t coping being cooped up there and I was quite tense, so it wasn’t helping.

I have to go back to the maternity ward twice daily (around 11am and then later on around dinner time) to have my BP and the baby checked, which will not be a problem. Although if it’s too high it’s very easy for them to detain me there! He he.

I have to go back to my obs on Friday for a full checkup, my appointment wasn’t supposed to be until next Tues, and he also mentioned to Glenn outside when I was having a shower this morning that he’s made me an appointment with the specialist in Wagga for next Wednesday – so hopefully I can stay home that long as it will mean that things are going OK.

I have also finished work – 3 weeks early, which I cant say that I am upset about really! They have been great about it, and Glenn has been wonderful too – I know the money’s not important, but it would have been nice to have that last pay that we budgeted for! Not to worry though, it will be fine.

I came home today and slept for four hours unbroken – Glenn started banging around in the kitchen (reorganising the pantry in ‘aisles’ like his supermarket so that he could ‘find’ things ) to wake me, as he didn’t think that I would sleep tonight otherwise – he was right!

SO – best case scenario is that these meds really come into their own and start bloody working properly, and then I will be able to be induced around the 15th Jan (I think that’s a Monday?)… worst case is that these meds continue to not work as well as they should, and I have the baby a lot earlier. At the moment, I just really want to be able to stay home and make it to 34 weeks which means that I would be able to go to Wagga…. If I go earlier (in the next couple of weeks) then I will have to go to Sydney or Canberra, whichever has the beds available… So I hope that doesn’t happen.

So yes, I’m scared – Glenn is scared, it’s very scary… Although I know we’ve done a lot better than others in the past, so I am very grateful, and staying optimistic that things will be OK. I guess that it’s just a fear of the unknown, and being very very overwhelmed because it’s all happened so fast.

Thanks very much is you made it this far girls… I have written way too much, but I guess that that’s what normally happens when I get going.

Thankyou again to those who posted messages of support, and all those that helped keep me entertained over the last couple of days.

Laurette
And here is the update that I just posted

QUOTE
Hey Megs... Thanks so much for asking after me.

basically, not too much has changed, although the tablets do seem to be doing their job, just not as well as my obs hoped. They have their days though. My BP is down to about an average of 135/85 - I have had a few lower days, and then a few where it's been /90 as well, which is pushing it back up. I have been very very good with my tablets - normally I am terrible with medication and remembering to do things on time. Helps with Glenn constantly at me 'have you taken your tablets' though.

I seem to have reached a stage where I have no energy whatsoever - I feel tired, uncomfortable, yukky all over, fat, awkward and constantly sick, and have terrible pain in my back which I am assured is not a kidney infection even though it feels like it.

I am not sure whether it's the tablets making me feel like this or if because I have finished work and am finally resting that it's all caught up with me and I am just trying to recover. I really dont know.

I have to go to see the specialist in Wagga on Wednesday at the high-risk clinic, as now I am obviously deemed as a 'high risk pregnancy' due to the combination of my BP and my weight, apparantly. My obs seems so concerned about my weight, but I dont understand how it's such a massive deal when I am still 8kg lighter than I was when I first got UTD. There's actually a lot of stuff that I dont understand, but I am wading through it.

I am however, still waiting for that appointment to be confirmed - the receptionist from the clinic is supposed to get back to me tomorrow. What a kerfuffle that was (if you wanna know about it, go back to Friday arvo in Jan mummies - it's not too far back, we havent been too busy chatting, or check my post history)

When I see this specialist Obs, then he and my obs will collaborate and see what they reckon is best as a plan for the birth of the bub... At this stage, looking like an induction around the 15th Jan, which is 5 weeks away... the way I am feeling though I really think that I will be more than ready by then!

Thanks for asking after me Megs

beckabunny
Hey chicka-dees

Sorry i haven't posted here for a few weeks, i've been really flat out with work and social stuff and getting ready for xmas stuff. I am well, bubba is well (as far as i know) I have my next antenatal on the 13th (wednesday) so that should be good. She'll probably tell me to go away again coz i'm so darned heathy (not complaining!!!). This pregnancy has been so good, i have been so well (in general) i'm somewhat baffled and confused as so many whinge their way through the entire pregnancy (most of them rightly so mind you!) and the biggest dramas i've had is two colds/flus and a little back pain.

I'm finding the heat a little hard to deal with at times, it's hardest if it's a hot night, but appart from that happy as Larry and busy as a bee.

Both those dogs are so cute!! We had our choice of three rare white german shepherds on offer to us at a really decent price (they were dumped sad.gif ) but we had to pass it up, we don't have the yard space, or the free time to give a dog the love and attention they deserve at the moment.

Laurette, i read most of your dramas in the pregnancy section, sorry to hear you're having such a tough time.

Michelle, the prawns and champers sound yummo!! Have the best christmas you possibly can darl!

Happy 2007 girls.

I was a bit say to say goodbye to 2006 as it was a pretty darn good year for us.

But at least I can say I WILL SEE MY HUSBAND THIS YEAR!!!. Ok, so not for another 6-ish months but still....
magnetique
Oh Laurette! He is so tiny and precious! How gorgeous!

*Hoping* to get thesis news tomorrow...fingers crossed....

My fingers are crossed for you too Amanda!! All the best.

Hi Girls,

Good to see you are all doing well.

Laurette, Xander is such a cutie!! I can't wait to meet my little boy, although he's still got a while to cook yet!!

Bubs and I are doing well, i've got my GD test next week, which i'm dreading coz i dispise needles but i'm sure Mark will reward me with something for being a big brave girl. It's less than 2 weeks now until i'm in my third trimester ohmy.gif !!!!!!!! Mark and I are going away for our 'last hurrah' romantic getaway on the 19th Jan. We're staying at a beachside appartment about an hour and a halfs drive from here. We're organising baby shower invites this week, and we'll hopefully finish paying off the layby for the cot and chest of drawers by the start of Feb. Then i can finish setting up the nursery!!! When it's all done, i'll post pics in here.

Take care all!

I'll have to check back here again to see your results Amanda!! How exciting!!

Beck
Laurette
Oh, good luck Amanda, looking forward to hearing how you go! Sorry that youu holiday has to end though sad.gif

Happy New Year girls! I am only a couple of days late in wishing you that... Michelle, that's wonderful that you get to see Neil THIS YEAR! I know what you mean about 2006 being pretty good - it was an awesome year, and 2007 is going to have to make a big effort to to top it...

---
Yes, in fact I see Neil in 111 days (the date had better not change again) and in 4 days we are 1/4 way through this stupid deployment. Bit overwhelming that we still have 3/4 to go, but its better than being at the start again.

I miss him so much its crazy. I took a sleeping tablet last night so I think I went to sleep by 8:30pm which is a record for me, but that meant I didn't get to speak to Neil at all yesterday. But I think I need to get myself back on track first so might try for a few more early night sleeps to catch up.

I'm thinking of you Amanda!!!

magnetique
Oh Michelle! I can't believe you have to take sleeping pills! Its so unfair, you poor thing!

Beck - have you had the GD test yet? How is the nursery coming along?

And how is Xander going Mumma Laurette? And you?

Still no thesis news...argh!
---
Hey Amanda any news? No matter the results, we are all proud of you - and I would like to think that we all contributed by helping you procrastinate smile.gif Here are some flowers I thought you might like!

IPB Image

By the way I don't take the sleeping tabs every night or else I would get hooked. Should have taken one last night, didn't sleep at all my mind was singing to me all night. I got up at 5am to talk to N on Skype wub.gif and went back for a nap before I took the kitten back to the vet again... slept ok but was dreaming of UFO's and roswall etc and it scared the shit out of me ph34r.gif

Oh by the way he has been gone 8 weeks today!

Laurette can we have more pics of your little man?? wub.gif I'm trying my absolute best but am getting clucky ph34r.gif ph34r.gif ph34r.gif
magnetique
Well....I got the news in....and......

I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOOHOO!

One examiner passed it with no amendment, and the other two passed it subject to minor amendments to the principal supervisor's satisfaction - in other words, spelling, grammar, etc. So it is THROUGH! I will receive the reports this week, then I will just need to make the corrections, which shouldnt take more than a day, then I get it printed and signed off and submitted by the 16th of January so I can graduate in March. Woohoo! Then I can be 'Dr Kennedy'. Yeehaa!

Anyway, am up early as I am still nursing Friday night's hangover. Urgh. Pass me the diet coke and a quarter pounder!

Chat soon,

Amanda

Thanks for the flowers btw Michelle....and that is awesome that you can use Skype to chat to Neil by the way. I would have thought that you couldnt do that, but at least you can have a bit of contact. How is he going?
beckabunny
Hi girls,

I had my GD test today. I will hopefully get the results on Friday, so i'll let you know when i know.

Looks like bub will be coming early though as my tum is measuring at 32 weeks, but i'm only 27.5, so i'm glad that we have organised everything early and we are recieving the furniture for the nursery next Thursday.

Look after yourselves and i'll update again soon.

Beck
Laurette
IPB Image

CONGRATULATIONS AMANDA! Such a wonderful result! You go girl! Not long now until you're Dr Kennedy! So very proud of you!

Michelle, that's so good - I know that 111 days still seems like a long time, but trust me - it wasnt when I was pregnant - damn it went fast, and you only have to do what you've done three more times now. You're doing a sensational job! I am home now, so anytime you wanna chat, drop me a line at home on chessor@optusnet.com.au or text me and tell me to get on MSN!

Yes, that's correct, we're home. My beautiful little boy is home with me and I can finally be his mummy with no more tubes, wires, monitors or cranky midwives. I am so very much in love with him, and he is just the light of our lives. He came home yesterday, and Glenn didnt start work until late today, so we lay in bed this morning after his feed and all had a cuddle and a play and it was lovely. Not that he does much - still being prem he just mainly eats and sleeps, stays awake about half an hour after each feed - he gets fed every four or so hours.

We have to go back to the hospital tomorrow as he'll be 4 weeks old and has to start on his iron supplement, and we have to have it there to make sure that he has no reaction to it. Then after that I will just administer it at home each day.

I cant believe it's been six weeks since I was put in hospital and had to finish work... and I cant believe that it's still another three weeks until he was actually due! he he.

Oh, and you want photos? OK!!!! Michelle, I am very excited to hear that you're clucky ph34r.gif

This was on Sunday, just about 10 minutes after he ripped out his feeding tube rolleyes.gif cheeky monkey! Thankfully he didnt need to have another one put in. So nice to see his whole face after three and a half weeks!

IPB Image

And here he is today in his bassinette, sleeping like a good little boy!

Hello girlies!

Laurette your boy is just scrumptious. He will def be a heatbreaker when he is older, poor mummy and daddy will be busy trying to shoo away the women!

Amanda - Congratulations!! So proud of you.
Chloe - where you hiding? How are your dogs going?
Kathy- So good to see you. Sounds like you are having a trip of a lifetime.
Beck - Hop eyour test went well and you're doing ok, andyour boy doesn't come too early..although I can't wait to see him smile.gif

Me: I have no news, I have no life at the moment, just plodding along. Neil has been gone 9 weeks now (please tell me if you want me to shut up about him)

I went to a travel agent today and got quotes on flight costs etc, and was pleasantly surprised. I am going to fly over and have a stop at Tokyo overnight. Then meet him in Rome somehow and spend a few days there, and other places in Italy, then go to Paris for a few days. Then he has to go back to the sandpit, and I am thinking of going to London to meet my old uni friend and see London for a week or so. Then on the way back have another stop at Tokyo and actually stay there for a few days and do some tours. If anyone has been there I would love to hear about it.

By the time its time for me to return to Oz, neil should be almost *fingers crossed* be ready to return himself so I am thinking of just flying straight into Darwin rather than back here, so I can meet him off the plane, you know do the whole airport scene where I run towards him and jump on him and hug him. From Darwin, we will go and see kakadu, then fly to Melbs to see his fam, then go over to Tasmania for another quick break, then finally up here so that he can see my fam/my house/the cats etc. Definately making up for the fact we haven't had a honeymoon yet.

Phew it made me tired just typing that.

Hope all is well

Hello!

Have come into uni to print my thesis out for binding! YAY!

Michelle - when are you going? Looks like I'm off to a conference in April in London...so am going to Tokyo for a stopover to see a friend, then on to Dublin and Edinburgh for a bit of a play before heading to London. Paddy is not happy...but we can't really justify paying for him to go when it will be a relatively quick trip, and because work will pay for me. We need to save the money up for renos...urgh. Not looking forward to that. But some new carpet will be good.

Hope y'all well!
Laurette
Michelle, never sick of hearing about you and Neil! You'll be sick of hearing about Xander soon! PMSL

Your trip sounds so wonderful! When do you head off? Maybe you'll cross paths with Amanda at some stage?

Not much going on here! Where on earth is Chloe? I will text here and tell her to get in here and visit!

Much love to all

xxxx
Saffire
Arrrghhh!!!! SORRY PEOPLE!! I received my 'Chloe where the hell are you?' text from Laurette today lol!

Congratulations Laurette on coming home with our beautiful boy. I do say our because I feel we are all his surrogate aunties laugh.gif How handsomely gorgeous is he??? What a man!!! Gosh Laurette you had me terrified there for a second. I can't believe he isn't due for another couple of weeks. It makes me stop and wonder how amazing science/medicine is nowadays... How wonderful it must be to have him home!!! I feel a smidgen of cluckiness... But only a smidgen at the moment hehehe.

Michelle that itinerary looks absolutely amazing!!! Like, wow, you'll be a seasoned plane-flyer after all that travelling!!! Rome... Paris...Toyko!!! Any space in your luggage for little 'ole me??? I won't disturb your reunion with Neil... I'll just hitch a ride with you lol smile.gif

Let me know if you wnat some recommendations for Paris - We had an absolute amazing time there on our honeymoon wub.gif

CONGRATULATIONS DR AMANDA!!!!! WHOOOOOOOOO HOOO!!! What an achievement!!! You go girlfriend! Can't wait to see pics of you in your frenchy poofy hat and smock at the graduation lol biggrin.gif

Kathy - I'm so jealous! Drinking wine in the Barossa! And gaining a doctorate in the family as well lol! All in a days work huh? hehehe.

Beck - congrats on getting the nursery set up smile.gif Wow not long to go now... Can't wait to see our second March bubs (again I'm using the word OUR cool.gif ).

Well we are all fine. All 5 of us (1 X Alex, 1 X me, 3 X dogs).

Bailey has doubled in size since we picked him up just over a month ago. He's still gorgeous though....

We took the 'kids' with us to Daylesford over Chrissy...:

We also received 2 'artbooks' from our wedding photographer just before chrissy (just in time for Alex's b-day)... Thank god because these are so much easier to look through than our actual ridiculously heavy album. Here's a pic:

See how thin it is?!?!

aww Chloe he is just the cutest thing. My new kitten is doing ok, sitting in front of me purring his head off. I hope he is a mummies boy, I would love an affectionate cat. Piggy is only affectionate when she wants something ; typical girl haha.

Well I will be heading overseas 23rd April and return to Oz roughly 10th May. Am thinking I will just go straight to Darwin and wait for him to return rather than come back here and then go to D. I have a slight glimmer of a return date, nothing offical yet of course but some dates have been mentioned, and its earlier than my worst case scenario date so I am stoked.

Hope all is well with everyone.

Ps I would love some recommendations for paris, even though N is planning that, I am doing Italy.
Saffire
Michelle I think that's why we chose to get a boy instead of a girl as originally planned... They do seem to be a bit more devoted whereas Gigi can get moody and a little hormonal. She sort of wants pats on her terms lol.

Paris is devine. I would kill to go back there soon. (hint hint lol!). Whereabouts are you thinking of staying and for how long? April will be here much sooner than you think - before you know it you'll be in Rome with Neil (as I said, just let me out of the bag once we arrive...).

Whew another 37 degree day here in Melb. Not looking forward to this arvo...

Chloe I think I will have excess baggage with all the people who have offered to come with me! My mum said she would come, and I was like gee thanks mum, but I won't have seen my husband for 5.5 months and it will be our honeymoon, don't think we would appreciate you being there laugh.gif

As for Paris, I don't know what we have planned, as Neil is organising that bit.

Actually the purpose of this post is to bump us up.. its bad enough that March 07 is on top of us, but now we also have to contend with March 08 wacko.gif

Well while I'm here I may as well show you some pics.

Excuse the weeds, but this is our block of land. It looks quite small here but it is 908 m2 which is pretty big for a residential block. I just got it valued and its now sitting at a cool $200K which is lots more than we paid... Will build on it when N get posted here. Mum lived about 4 doors down from my block! Whats scary is that when we left T'ville 3 yrs ago you could get house and land for $180K now your paying that just for the land...

This is the kitchen in my new house. I met a fellow I-do'er a few days ago, and hows this for co-incidence - she actually lived here and moved out in October.

This is the path up Uluru if you want to climb it - Um no thanks! Luckily it was closed anyway from high winds. Lots of people have died climbing it.

HAPPY 10 MONTH ANNIVERSARY GIRLS!
Saffire
OH yay!

10 months! Wowsers!!! How crazy is that????

Yes I think we need to up the anti - we're competing with 2 years of March twinnies!!!

Michelle those pics are great!

I just love the photo of piggy and Thomas.. How'd you manage to get them to stay still like that for a photo!!?!?

I can't believe there are maccas everywhere.. EVERYWHERE! Have you asked Neil how similar it tastes compared to aussie maccas??

Girls I have posted pics of all our renos in the house and garden section - don't think you want me to flood this thread with all the photos (cos there are gijilions of them) but feel free to check it out over there smile.gif

Almost finished!!! Just need to get my red upholstered chair.. and plant something in the backyard lol!
Laurette
Hi girls wub.gif

Well... so good to see you back in here Chloe, I am glad that my text found its way to you smile.gif

Michelle, all your photos look amazing! Looks like you had a nice holiday together! Not long until you have another one and you can share some pics from OS with us!

I cant really weigh into the boy/girl pet debate, coz I am not really a pet person... happy with my little mini-human biggrin.gif However, all your puppies and pussy cats are just beautiful - and I just wanna cuddle your newest addition Chloe! (sorry Michell, allergic to cats!)

Michelle, looks like you're living in a decent sort of home! I guess it's nice to be able to be somewhere comfortable smile.gif I love the pic of the three of you all dressed up - good to see the your future BIL got into the spirit - that's a sensational costume, and yours looks awesome too!

Kathy, good to see you around, how long have you been gone now?

Amanda, have you finished celebrating yet? Cant believe how qualified you are now... does that mean that when you put your title on things it will be 'Dr' instead of 'Mrs'?

Chloe, very excited about your renos, heading over to that forum to have a look now smile.gif

Well, we're moving biggrin.gif To Young, which is about an hour from here biggrin.gif I am so excited, not that we're leaving Temora, but that it's the start of us starting a new life as a little family, on our own - where Glenn works, and where I can be a proper mummy and wife with my hubby close by smile.gif SO EXCITED!

We found an awesome unit to rent, I love it SO much. Here is the link on RE.com.au, but it doesnt look like anything on here - they arent overly attractive from the outside, but on the inside they are beautiful! Huge living areas, separte lounge, massive kitchen/dining, a proper pantry and room for my massive fridge smile.gif Three bedrooms, internal access from garage, Really nice bathroom (with more towel racks than for just one towel!), looks like it's from a motel (not the colours I would decorate in there, but cant be picky!) and a big sliding door off the dining room out to a little deck, which will fit our BBQ on it and not much else, but will be a good place for clothes airers and stuff, since there's only a little clothes line.

The bedrooms are pretty little, but that's OK, we dont need them big smile.gif Just happy to have three again!

I cant believe that Xander has been home for over a week now, it's so surreal! I love being his mummy, and love looking after him, but I just cant get over how fast he's getting bigger and how fast the days go. I thought that I would have time to be a really good housewife, but I dont! lol... trying, but we'll get there. I hate ironing so much! Glenn doesnt work tomorrow, so hopefully he'll get up and do a night feed for me tonight... that would be nice smile.gif

Here is a little pic for you all that I took yesterday - it's not the best, but his eyes are open, so you cant ask for much more than that!;

IPB Image

Right, enough rambling from me...

Here is one of him lying in the cot made up, you can see how little he is! Normally he's just sleeping in the bassinette, but during the day I am putting him in the cot so that there is a bit better air flow, it's so hot lately...

IPB Image

And here are a couple in his bassinette smile.gif

Just realised that I didnt put the real estate link in, and I cant edit that last post now that it's got a heap of photos in it...

Actually, cancel that - the page wont load. Just trust me that it's new and nice and I will take photos when we move biggrin.gif
---
Oh yay Laurette is moving! Good luck for the move - I don't envy you, I have moved enough times to do me a lifetime, but alas I might have to move again in June. Your boy is so beautiful, can you send him to me for a visit? He looks so tiny and I would love a cuddle wub.gif

Chloe - my cats weren't exactly sitting there posing laugh.gif right after that pic Piggy pounced on him and attacked him.

I have already posted in your reno thread - you have done a fantastic job.

10 weeks tomorrow since he left.

Laurette
Wow Michelle... Am I allowed to say that that's gone fast? Probably for me since I spent six weeks of it in hospital rolleyes.gif

I wont send Xander to you, but you're welcome to come to us whenever you want! wub.gif
---
Yes, I guess you can say it has gone fast - because everyone does. I guess it goes fast for those who aren't actually experiencing it.

Looking back..the days go slow, but it doesn't feel like 10 weeks since I last saw him, although sometimes when I look at his pic or write him a letter I get a shock, like 'wow am I actually married to this guy?'

We skype probably once a week so that is going to make our transition back into real life much easier I think..seeing his face is lovely..
magnetique
Gosh u girls have been busy in here today!

Great pics Michelle....good to see all of those holiday snaps! Chloe, I will have to see if I can find your reno pics - do you have a link?

Am trying to get into work today but I cant be bothered so am thinking of going home.

Thanks also for the updated Xander pics Mumma Laurette...he is so precious! So teeny tiny! What an absolute cutey. I love the one where he is bundled up.

Its so good you can Skype with Neil, Michelle. I hope it does make life a lot easier for you. I really should get off my a$$ and get it set up.

Well, only a bit over a week til we jet off to thailand...we are sooo excited! We are dying for a break, and we are really keen to get over there. Will send plenty of pics when we are back.

I will be able to officially call myself Dr Kennedy, so no more Mrs for me hehehehe. I will have to change it on everything again though which will be a total pain in the butt, but I'm hoping it might at least get me a flight upgrade somehow!!! Just hope they dont think I am a *real* Dr! heheheh.

Will post grad pics in late March, so keep your eye out!

How is Beck going? Anyone heard?

Love and hugs to all...

Amanda
Saffire
Hi all!!!

Gosh every time i come in here i have to search for the right 'March' thread... How rude!!!! LOL

The link to our downstairs and outside make over thread is here.

I just found out our wedding is featured in a queensland magazine (The Discerning Bride) - our photographer sent in our pics and I received a weird phone call in December asking me for information about the wedding.... Anyhoo.... Turns out they have printed my name incorectly!!!!

There is another groom with a surname in the magazine and they have used his surname (mixed it up) for my surname...!?! Not sure exactly what it is cos i haven't seen the mag yet - just the info mum told me over the phone. Obviously they couldn't cope with our surnames being the same... laugh.gif

Feels really weird knowing our wedding photos are out there and I have no idea what it looks like blink.gif

Laurette - xander is seriously too gorgeous. I loved that photo of him with his nappy on! He's sooooo small!!!!!! How's the sleeping going... I've heard that's the toughest part that takes getting used to... The lack of sleep that is!

Michelle i've never had a really good go at skype but I really should... Everyone else seems to be on it! Thank god for skype for you and Neil wink.gif

Dr Kennedy - hot damn woman! How serious does that sound???? Actually it sounds like a cardiologists name.. or a Professor of neurology... Dr Kennedy in the house!!! laugh.gif

OK girls, well I'm going to hunt down some dinner...Can't think straight when i'm hungry tongue.gif

Chloe xoxoxxoxo
