Michelle, Dad goes into Hospital this Thursday and we won't know anything until Friday or Saturday at the earliest. I am going to go visit him on either Saturday or Sunday. He is very nervous, but i'm staying strong for him.
Amanda, there are two photos in the belly pics section of my bump, they may take a little bit of effort to find though so, I'll get hubby to take a new photo, and i'll post it in here as well as the belly pics section.
We are going to find out what it is if it behaves, and will tell all you ladies as soon as i know (not 'til mid November-ish). My annoying sister has decided she doesn't want to know. how the hell i am suposed to keep it from her i'll never know!

My fingers are crossed and he will be in my prayers Beck. Once you know, either way, you can deal with it, its the not knowing that does your head in. I hope he can get some answers which are positive. All the best xox
Well I passed a DHA house inspection today which is good. I have another one the day of uplift, but at the moment all she said I need to work on is the garden a little bit (weeds). Piggy went and got her vaccinations today, the vet was really impressed with how well behaved she was (although she walked all through his office, over all the benches and then sat in his sink)
Hope your all doing ok, Laurette let us know how your birthday went!

Oh wow, we're still posting!! That's awesome! I haven't looked in here recently.
I used to read and I occasionally posted but it's hard when I find myself busy with work and travelling for the job (and I can't access this site at work

).
Anyway, hi again!! I'll need to try and catch up, Congratulations Beck!
And is everyone going to Perth? I was there for work last week. I forget how much I miss it, especially family and friends. I got to meet my new niece and have a cuddle. If anyone wants to ask questions about Perth/Freo I'll do my best.

Hi girls
Birthday was OK - not very exciting though, had to spend it at home alone as Glenn was at work, but got to go to Wagga the next day and have lunch with friends so that was good.
---
Oct 18 2006, 03:01 PM
Laurette thats good that your friends took you out to lunch. Your next birthday will be great, you will have a 9 month old who will be really interactive and probably enjoy it more than you!
Hi Karen long time no see. We dont have any set plans for Perth yet, we have acocmodation booked at Duxton for the first few nights, thn will just see how we go from there. I want to go to Rotnest Island, and hv been told to go to Margaret River but I think its too far, and Neil doesnt drink anyway so We wont bother.

You know in 5 months we will be celebrating our 1st anniversary. Is it just me or is time flying?
Kaygee
Oct 19 2006, 07:24 PM
Time is definitely flying. The wedding seems like a long time ago, but I don't feel like we've been married long.. In a weeks time we'll have been married for 7 months.. gosh.
I love Margaret River, iit's a beautiful area and the coastline is also really nice. But it is a bit of a drive and if you're only in Perth for a short time, there's plenty of other things to see. If you're not into wine and you had a short trip I'd chose Rotto over Margaret River.
Definitely try and get to Freo for an afternoon, or a Sunday Brunch. Freo is my favourite Perth spot. We stayed there for our wedding and had after reception drinks at the Little Creatures Brewery.
Happy Birthday Laurette!
I can't wait for the weekend. We've had visitors or I've been travelling or I've been lecturing (oh my God I'm awful at lecturing...). so tired... I need another honeymoon...

Well girls.. This has been one of the most productive weekends I've have ever had. We have almost finished painting the whole downstairs... Just a second coat in one room.. and the skirting and doors/door trims to go.
Wow didn't know how much WORK there is involved with painting!!! My arm is officially dead. As in. I can't even type-dead.
Hope everyone had a lovely weekend!!!

I'm still around Michelle, but i don't really know anything. The operation went fine, they kicked him out of hospital the next day. I went and saw him on saturday and he's still scared shitless as the doctors have left him in limbo land, and won't tell him the results from the operation for 10 bloody days.
I'm very annoyed with the hospital, and the way they've treated dad, makes me pretty angry. It just doesn't seem right, keeping someone waiting that long.
Anyways, I will definately post once i do know something.

Beck, so sorry to hear that you're being stuffed around - that's crap! I hope that you all get some answers real soon!
Chloe, thanks very much for the offer - I have to get the DVD back from a friend who borrowed it - have been waiting for ages and then as soon as I do, I will be posting off to you and will let you know when it's on it's way. I love all your furniture so much! If I ever make it to Melbourne again, you know where I will be coming!
Michelle, hope that you have a good day at work today and that it's not too hard. I am glad to hear that the packing has started

Look after yourself possum

Remember I am just a text/phone call away if you need anything xx
here is a belly pic taken last night - 26 weeks and 4 days

Notice that I am still very chubby around the belly button and my back - love handles! but the area above my belly button is rock hard now. And when I lie down, all my tummy is hard!

Laurette you are looking fantastic. I just looked at your ticket and thought it was wrong because it was almost at the end

Your definately past half way now!! Very excited for you.
I just wanted to say a quick goodbye incase I dont get in tomorrow, we are off to Perth at 3pm tomorrow for our "honeymoon" Kind of doesnt feel like a honeymoon because we are old married fogies now, but we havent had a holiday since getting married so I shall class it as our honeymoon anyway.
The removalists come the day after we get back so dont know if I will get back here. I most likely will because Neil bought a new laptop to take overseas (yeah he is doing it tough over there) so Im sure I can connect somehow. If not, I will see you on the other side when he is gone and I am in Qld (if I EVER work out how to set the bloody computer up, I am going to miss my computer geek/personal computer technician husband... )

Beck - oh I'm so sorry to hear about your dad and the hospital... Which hospital is it Beck? And when will you know something? My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family...
Well I have been MIA cos I went to Brisbane to visit mum last weekend... She seems so much better since August when her mum passed away. I'm really happy she's back to her boisterous bossy self again
We're heading back to Brissie this weekend again for the Melb Cup long weekend. Visiting family etc. Will be nice but hectic. WE've been doing heaps of painting and during which I have to disconnect the computers and move furniture so its a bit hard to get online at the moment.
Presently I am sitting in front of my closet amidst a huge pile of furniture and clothes!!!

Hi girls here is a super quick update.
Holiday was great. The 10 days we had went way too quick. We got back on Sunday 5th at 7:30pm, went straight home and kept packing and cleaning.
Removalists came Monday for pre pack and Tuesday for uplift. I hate seeing the things I worked so hard so just thrown around like shit. It had better all come out ok on the other side.
Thursday was possibly the 2nd worse day ofmy life (worst day was losing my father) Neil called me at 7:30 am to say he had crashed his car on the way to work (yes he had to work the day before he left me, stupid army) To top it off, the registration ran out 2 days before the crash. We decided not to renew as he wouldnt be driving it for 7 months so not bother. So we thought insurance wouldnt cover it. He was ok by the way just really upset at himself.
Then MIL called while I was in the middle of bawling my eyes out and I told her that he had a crash and we possibly wouldnt be covered by insurance - what does she do - LAUGH. I told N that when he got home so he called her to say something as he was pissed off as well (even though I told him not to, not worth it) but she went psycho said that I try to make her look like a bitch and that Im crap etc I have problems etc. Yeah so more tears on my behalf (and prior to this we had always got on) so mil hates me now, I cant be bothered with it at the moment though i have more important things to stress about.
Then friday - he leaves me. I wont go into details but it broke my heart.
I am now in Qld. I swear if I cried freshwater tears I would have solved the drought problem in australia. I have cried so much about everything (mil, crash, him leaving, moving interstate) i am exhausted.

AwBeck thanks that cheered me up. It looks like Bubbabunny is growing nicely!!! Cant wait to find out what sex bubs is.
As for me - well surprisingly I am doing ok. I am coping much better than I thought I would. He has only been gone for 9 days though and I have been flat out this week unpacking at my new house etc , it may hit me once Im staying at my new house and I have nothing to do.
N is safe over there, he has been able to call me everyday which is lovely, but we might have to cut the calls back to just a few times a week as everyday is a bit hard on him (he is missing me lots and lonely) I have been getting some beautiful emails from him too

once i get to my house I will set internet up and we will even be able to skype I cant wait.
So all in all, everything is falling together. The buildup to this was the most emotionally stressful thing I have ever been through, I am just glad he is over there so I can start counting down to his return.
Hope everyone else is doing well xox

Oh Michelle! I am so excited to read such a positive post from you! I am sure that it's very hard, but you really sound like you're doing your best to take it all in and handling it pretty well
What is your new house like? Are you happy with it? it's great that you have been able to talk to Neil each day, but I can understand that it would be hard on both of you - whether you're talking every day or you're not.
How is you mum? I bet that she's excited to have you so close
beck, you're looking sensational.
Well, as for me, I am 30 weeks todya!

Very exciting times... I am hoping to do an update with pictures of the nursery and stuff this afternoon at some stage, once I get the room sorted out a bit more, so I hope that you'll all pop in and see what it's ended up like... will let you know once it's completed

Chloe and Amanda, hope you're both well. No doubt you've finishing painting now Chloe? How did you enjoy the cold snap this week>

Glad to hear you're in the new home - do you like it? Happy with the house? I am sure that Piggy will get used to the house very soon for you!
---
Nov 21 2006, 01:35 PM
Yep I like the house. Its fairly new and in a quiet area. The lawn is much more low maitenence to the one we had in Darwin ( which was a pain in the arse)- which is good now that I am the primary hand-woman and gardener in my house. The bit I love the best is having an ensuite again!! The house in Darwin was badly designed, our bedrooms were upstairs and only 1 toilet downstairs. I can admit to falling down or up the stairs a few times on toilet trips during the night haha.
I will take some pics when it is decent looking and not shit lying everywhere.
Hope your doing ok Laurette. Oh by the way where can I order a ticker like yours? I want mine to be a super quick one like yours seems to be - its flying by!!!

Looks like I've missed a lot - boy Laurette when did you get to 30 weeks?!?!?!? CRAZY how fast time has flown!
Beck - you're looking fantastic! Not long to go now everyone (everyone who is preggers that is... not for me ahem...)
Michelle - wow. You guys are doing so well. I'd be a train wreck I tell you. You two are going to have the strongest most amazing bond after all this is over. I have so much admiration and respect for you both! Great to see your new house is good and I'm sure piggy will settle down soon. lol

Well, I'm done with the painting for at least this year. I can still smell paint fumes - its pretty crazy stuff. Reckon my dogs have been getting high on the stuff too. My piano has moved down here from Brissy and I've spent lots and lots of money on housey stuff. I'm in th eprocess of doing up my photo wall above my sofa...
Anyhoo - that's all from me for now. I can hear Alex installing our new rubbish bin which will sit underneath the sink and open when the door is opened. Lovely nailing stuff into doors and walls now that we actually own the place (or at least the bank does!)
Take care all
