Beck, I'm crossing all my fingers and toes, and sending all my prayers, thoughts and good vibes your dad's way... And yours... Hang in there and don't stress yourself please!
Amanda. I am jealous. Next time, don't go anywhere without taking all of us with you. We promise we won't be in the way

Michelle - oh dear. You've moved so much and changed jobs so many times... I think it would be easier to move home though - there is less adjustment and disorientation at the new place? And I'll bet if you ever wanted to come back to this place your boss would welcome you with open arms... I'm sure he/she understands the situation you're in...Your mum is visiting this week isn't she?
Laurette - I'm looking forward to getting your DVD on wed

We've started to distribute ours already. Did you guys have a nice long weekend? My cousin in Canberra enjoyed a long weekend...Again, so jealous!
Hangin out for November.....Melbourne cup public holiday!

Dum di da....
Oh Michelle - thank goodness you know what's happening now

Now you can move forward! Yay for you and keep us updated with the move etc....
Off to go to our first dancing class since March... We're going to perform at the end of year ball and we haven't done this dance since March 18.... Scary
Ohh Chloe how exciting doing your wedding dance again. Have fun!
We are babysitting a doberman or rotweiler dog at the moment. Its bloody huge and muscly(but is staying outside, he isnt coming in to wreck my new lounges). My cat hasnt been downstairs since the dog arrived, we've had to take her kitty litter tray and food bowls upstairs to her hehe. Poor cat.

Wish you girls coulda seen us last night - sooooooo frckin funny. Amazingly, I remembered the dance, but Alex would be ok then get to a bit where he wasn't and I'd be like "that way - no turn!" It was hilarious! We were teasing eachother all the way through

Thanks for the vote of confidence girls!
Wow, today I feel like I've been run over by a truck. Feelin really sluggish - might take some sudafed. It's going to be 30 degrees here in Melb today!

Oh Chloe, that would have been funny! I am going to the pub for lunch today, I am sure that it's going to almost put me to sleep! he he he. It's hot outside here today too, so I hope that we can get a table under the shade to make it better to sit outside... Cant wait to get a massive icy glass of coke into me...
oh pregnancy does wonderful things...
Wow we were second from the top of the Twins, usually we are down the bottom, good work girls. Its going to be 35 here today, but Im in A/C til home time so its ok. Glad your dance went ok Chloe!

Oct 5 2006, 02:02 PM
What sort of stuff are you going to do over there Michelle?
Just relax. We are booked at Duxton Hotel in Perth which is meant to be nice, we want to go to Rotnest Island, and I wanted to go to Monkey Mia and see the dolphins but thats about 9 hours north of Perth. I started a thread in GCC asking for suggestions and the Perth-ites were very helpful. We havent had our honeymoon yet, so ideally just want to relax, drink lots, spend quality time together etc. We can only go for a week or so (28th Oct - 5th Nov) but I am looking forward to the break.

Oct 5 2006, 07:12 PM
I am so sure that you will have a wonderful time

- Nothing else to worry about except each other.
Laurette are you ok? I read that you passed out??? Take care of yourself xo
British Army I think I have posted this on I-do before, I think its a crack up. Its the british army in Iraq. No wonder they did the video, they must be bored out of their brains.

Perth sounds really cool (or hot)!
I've always wanted to go to Monkey Mia!
Hope you have fun.
Mark and I are going on a holiday soon as well, don't know where or when at this stage, but it'll be a 'last holiday before bubs' kinda thing. It'll be somewhere along the bay here maybe Rye, Portsea Sorrento or something. I want a room with a huge spa but i've read hot spas are a big no-no during prenancy

do you know if this is true Laurette?

Laurette!?!?!!?
You passed out?!?!?!?!
OMG - you ok?!??!?!!?
Laurette
Oct 6 2006, 09:00 AM
Yeah, try and stay away from them Beck I think - getting your body temperature up too high is bad for the baby, not the actual spa itself - it's the fact that it's hot. If you just have a normal bath, with warm water, then that's fine.
Yeah, I fainted on Wednesday. Michelle, have you been stalking my Jan mummies thread? I think that I just got a bit hot and tired, bent over to take my work shoes off and all the blood must have run to my head or something and I blacked out, but woke up straight away as I hit the ground, if that makes sense. I'm OK. The doc wasnt worried, thought that maybe my blood sugar had just dropped too low.

Take care of yourself yummy mummy. And Chess Jr!
Im thinking of chess Jr now actually....well, the fact he/she is the size of a hotdog. I'd kill for a hotdog. I have a bad hangover. Too much wine last night. Urgh.
Michelle you will have to tell me all about Perth. I will need some hints, though no doubt mum and dad will have it all planned!

A friend of ours had a premmy baby at 23 weeks. She (baby) is about 2 yrs old now - she is very very small but she made it! At the time, she was the most premmy baby in Australia (?)... Not sure but it was significant

The baby was so small, the husband's wedding ring would go all the way up the baby's thigh - that's how small and tiny she was. What a miracle!
So glad to hear you're ok Laurette - eat more sugar!! Eat more sugar!!! Lol
Perth - ooooh Perth is beautiful!!!
Number one priority place to go - Margaret River wineries!!!! Gosh, I really am an alcoholic!

Wow Chloe, that's another amazing story! I just hope that mine stays in there a bit longer!
Last night we went to a cocktail party for the boys going o/s. Mum is here now also. Neils fam wil be up in a week or 2 to attend the official farewell ceremony the minister for defence and possibly PM will be there. Im glad his family will be there, I didnt want to go alone. When I picked mum up at the airport I got a little teary thinking that in almost 4 weeks I will be there saying goodbye to N.
Hope your all having a great weekend, I need to go lie down still feeling seedy from said cocktailparty.

Heheh michelle I doubt if I could have handled any kind of fish this morning - let alone raw fish@@@

Well, I have done nothing today.
Nothing - nada zip. Feel like I have wasted the day away tomorrow is Monday. Work day.
How sad.
Cooking roast chicken though and it smells so damn fine but not ready for another half an hour.
Off to more drinks tonight
Well Chloe they say the way to break a hangover is to just keep drinking! We had roast chook the other night it was great. Last night we went on a sunset cruise and had oysters and prawns (didnt get rash from oysters today so must be over my allergy) then chicken satay and grilled barramundi with mango relish, then fruit platter. Delish.

Hi
My name is Chloe and I have remained sober for 1 whole day.
Well, the day's not over yet but hey, its getting dark now so I reckon that counts

xoxo

Chloe.
Warning, whinge below dont read if you dont want...
I had a good day today, took mum to the wilflife park here which was good, they have crocs (of course) tigers, lions, leopard, monkeys etc. Then we went for some retail therapy which was nice. Then ever since N got home Ive been in tears. Im having a mental health day I think. Crying is very exhasting. Oh and my boss had a turn at work today so I have to work now, I was meant to be on holidays with mum, but oh well. I only have 14 more work days til I leave anyway. So much to do, so little time. I feel like my head might explode sometimes I am quite stressed out and uber emotional. 4 weeks and 4 days til he leaves me... 4 weeks 5 days til I leave Darwin....

Glad to hear that you're keeping busy. How's your mum?
I came home from work at 1.30 and slept all afternoon... was good. I was so exhausted. Just hope that I will be able to actually sleep through tonight. I dont think that I have slept more than about 4 hours a night for the past week and it's wearing me down.
Chloe, promise that I havent forgotten about the DVD, I just forget every morning when I am leaving the house!

Oct 10 2006, 08:38 PM
Aw Laurette thats no good re: the sleep. Do you know why your not sleeping? Uncomfortable or thinking too much? Are you able to take anything to help you sleep? I guess not

Hope you sleep better tonight *insert lullaby and nice comfy inviting bed for Laurette*

Oh yeah, we are 1/4 of my wedding cake :'( it was soo delish, I am trying to resist defrosting the rest and eating it all. N's mum and step dad are coming up next week for the farewell parade, so we shall eat more then..
Laurette
Oct 10 2006, 09:16 PM
Oh yum! When I go on maternity leave, I am so going to start defrosting mine! So I can EAT IT ALL
I dont really know what causes it Michelle. When you're pregnant, you dont have so much deep sleep, but your REM sleep (the light sleep where you dream) increases, so you are sleeping lightly more and having more dreams, and waking more. Just the way it is. Sunday night, I dreamt that MIL got eaten by an orca (killer whale) - I even felt really bad about it.

Have a happy birthday Laurette!!
So sorry you're having such a tough time with Niel leaving Michelle.
Not much new with me. Belly is growing at a rediculous rate, so i guess that means all is still good with Munchkin. I've got my first pregnancy class at the hospital in roughly 10 days. I'll get my first bounty bag then! Yay for free samples! I start my antenatal/birthing classes on the 15th Feb. Currently waiting for my next antenatal appointment so my obstetrician can give me another referral to have my morphology scan, then i'll (fingers crossed) be able to finally find out if it's a boy or girl.

Beck - your news is so exciting! Are you going to tell people the sex, or keep it secret? I bet you look gorgeous! Photos of the BUMP please!
Michelle, keep your chin up darls and remember we are here for you. Enjoy your holiday to Perth and savour every moment. Try not to think too much about Neil leaving and enjoy the break. I think the stop in Alice Springs will be fantastic - take lots of pics.
Nothing new here....just marking assignments and working. Urgh.
