I feel so ashamed I just haven't got around to putting photos up. Our low res scans are still around 400kb, which seems quite large. Kathy - the booties are gorgeous. My grandmothers knitted some beautiful baby clothes when I was born.. I was taught how to knit and I thought I'd give it a bash the other day... I've completely forgotten how to do it though as what I ended up with was nothing like knitting. Hubby was intrigued by my knitting, until I got the giggles and gave up because it all looked sooo wrong. I've called one of my girlfriends who knits and hopefully she'll be able to set me straight..

Laurette - congrats again. I'll let you know if I ever work out this whole knitting business Although I still haven't finished the booties I started when my cousin was born. She's 14 now....

Michelle - hope you're having fun with hubby. I have to go away to Brissy for a few days week after next.. Am not really looking forward to it, as it's hard being away from home.

We've bought our thankyou cards.. We haven't actually taken them out of the box and started writing in them though...

Oooh - and we have a dyson too. Hubby bought it before we even got together.. And our home has only floorbords, so it doesn't get as much of a workout as it used to...

Well not much to report here, I have just come down with a cold..again I am so over being sick, as Im sure you are sick of hearing about my illnesses.

Amanda, love the new sig, great procrastination lol. You can make me one if you need more procratsination material hehe.

Neil came home yesterday, I can't get enough of him (in a non-sexual like way haha) I missed him so much, this time away was hard on us both. He came back saying he really wants to get out of the army just has to work out how. He still owes 6 yrs to the army return of service obligation for the 6 month course he did in Melb, Im sure there is some legal loophole just have to work it out.

He came home saying he was this close <--> to being sent to Solomon Islands for a few months, leaving 20th June but that iis no longer on the cards. Still waiting to hear abou tthe July trip to Afg.

Better go hope you are all well. Dont know if I will get on tomorrow, I finish work at 6, then we have to go shopping for a bit, then have fareweell drinks for one of neils workmates, then we have a midnight flight to catch so I will probably just come back next week.

hello my girls! I am so very sorry for my complete slack-ass-ed-ness I had all good intentions of getting on here as soon as I got back from the honeymoon, but then my lap-top crashed (again ) and then when I got it working again, I started to load up some pictures and OMFG....how long does this take!!!! And then I was back at work and too scared to come back in without pic's for you all But now, I have finally uploaded some pic's and gotten off my ar$e to get back in here and catch up with everyone!!

Now, first things first (since I have just read about 10 pages of catch up..)

OMG....LAURETTE.....YOU'VE GOT A BUBBY IN YOUR TICKER!!!! That is so exciting!!! I'm so happy for you and Glenn! Congratulations and I wish you all the best for a happy and sickness free pregnancy!

Chloe, I'm sorry to hear about your Grandmother. As you said, she is in a much better place now and at peace, but it still hurts when you lose a loved one. My thoughts are with you.

Amanda, I had a look at your Momento Album. It looks great. I might have to do something like that for myself. Unfortunately, our professional photo's are in low resolution files on a disc so I don't think it would work??? I guess I'd have to scan them from the proof book or something?? Anyway, something to think about later. Well done on your Thesis progress. I know you've got a little ways to go, but you're gettin' mighty close. That has to feel good!!!

Michelle, you poor chook. It sounds like you have well and truly been in the sickness wars Apart from the doctor's "tropics" reason for your illnesses, it is probably compounded by you being run down from the stress of the wedding. Hope you are feeling better soon. Any more news about Afghan.?? During my slackassed hiatus from i-do, I had been thinking of you and hoping that Neil hadn't been sent to E.Timor, so I'm glad to read he hasn't been sent there at least.

As for me girls, I am well and truly back to reality. How is it that you can have 10 weeks off work and then feel like you've never had a holiday after being back a couple of weeks??? We've been a bit naughty and bought some nice things for around the house (including a 32" LCD television on the weekend - damn those June temptation sales ), so after that and our honeymoon, we are well and truly on the 'begood' budget.

I'm glad to hear that not everyone has done their thank you cards. I have not even bought the supplies for them. Must get off bum, must get off bum!!

We have received our proof book of professional photo's from the photographer, but haven't chosen our favourites yet. We have to pick @100 - 150 of our faves and then go in for an album design session to put it all together. I haven't loaded any of these up yet, but have a link below of some non prof. photo's that a good friend of ours took. She did a fantastic job and took some beautiful pictures. I'll post some images on here as well for quick peek

I still haven't done my "story" and honeymoon tale yet, but will do so soon, I promise!!

Well Friday was a very very very sad day as it was my grandmother's funeral. The other days were fairly good though - everyone was in relatively good spirits and it was really lovely to have the whole family back together again so soon after the wedding. In a way it was a blessing I guess that we all had a chance to be together and visit grandma before she passed away.

I'm more determined than ever now to visit my last remaining grandma (mother's side) in malaysia asap as she had a heart attack a few months ago and I don't want to risk not having a chance to see her especially since we've been married.

But where is all the money for this extra trip going to come from???

Thanks for your comments about the momento album gals - Chloe and JO - your low res shots wont work well in a momento album. I tried a few low res shots and they came out chunky. But I'm sure if you scan the prof shots in high res it should work? Anyway, I've ordered mine, but what an ordeal. It took FOREVER to export the working file into a PDF file (like, 3 hours) and then another 4 hours to upload! The more pics you have the longer it takes! I'll let you know what the finished product looks like.

Well, better get into the work. Still have a fair bit to do, lots of correcting and checking over chapters. My draft is due in just over a week - then I have 2 weeks to write the conclusion chapter, and then another 3 weeks to make all of the last minute changes before the lot gets sent to the printery. Argh!

OMG, Jo – HI! So good to see you back here, I am very excited. Your wedding photos that you have shared all look amazing – absoloutely sensational, you beautiful girl! And I agree with Amanda about the cleavage shot – Nice!

And how good does your mum look? She’s a bit of a spunk too – obviously like mother like daughter! And you look like as though you had a pretty special wedding dance – that’s very cool! Well I am back from the weekend away in melb, totally exhausted we got home at midnight Monday night after flying all afternoon, then had to be up at 6am for work, so I have a lot of sleep to catch up on. It was great to see all the family (his) and I have to admit I really didnt want to come back here. I got a bit sad saying goodbye to his family. I found something to wear for the wedding the day before thankfully - trusty Chadstone didnt let me down. All the sales are on , I was in heaven. I bought a red cocktail length gown, cream lining underneath with red lace over the top with an eneven hemline. MIL's really rich friend lent me a knee length black wool jacket so I scrubbed up alright.

The bride looks gorgeous, and the groom (my step-brother-in-law) looks very spunky too. I cried when she walked down the aisle. The best man was blubbering too - so cute. Their reception was unique - they came straight in from being announced and cut their cake, then went straight into their bridal waltz. After dinner she changed into a red chinese wedding gown and did a traditional wedding dance with her father.

Oh and no news on Neil going overseas. He asked about it yesterday and got shot down by his Sarg, who apparently had "more important things to worry about" Well thanks, if he goes I will get a whole 2 - 3 weeks notice, thanks for nothing arsehole. (The trip is planned for July )

Bugger Michelle. That's crap about his Sgt... what a prick! I cant believe that he wouldnt be more forthcoming about plans! It's a pretty important sort of thing!

Yeah unfortunately we bought cheapo batteries for our digi cam, so we managed 2 photos. Neils 10 yr old bro took 1, Neils 25 yr old bro took the other, both blurry So I have to wait for BIL to email me some pics then I might share if they are decent.

I am slowly dying....this thesis is killing me...I have been working since 4am this morning....have totally turned a chapter inside out and my brain is well and truly fried.

Why did I leave this all til the last minute?

How are you feeling sweetie?Any cravings or morning sickness?

When I was expecting with Amanda the morning sickness wasnt to bad just first thing in the morning and only for the first 3 months.The cravings were a different thing all together.My cravings were:

Smarties
Coke
Orange Juice-but only fresh
Tripe with onions and white sauce

When I was having Michael it was:

Hotdogs with sauce and mustard
Lemon Juice
chocolate coated licorice

I can still eat all of them exept the Tripe I nearly vomit when I see it at the butchers.I did try to have it a few times when amanda and michael were growing up (what was I thinking)but I seen the light and make sure it stays at the butchers.


We are moving again soon we have desided that its to cold down here for old people so we are going back to queensland probably around the gold coast somewhere.

Anyway better go hope everything is good with everyone.
