Just realised I didn't post any hens piccies! Here's mum and I post-pin the the donger on the dude. What a pair of hotties.

I've neglected to post the one of mum force feeding me penis cake for the safety of the viewers. Its a family show after all!

Oh, they are awesome pictures Amanda! You're right, you and your mum are both hotties!
I was consideriig the fashion parade... I just go tmy dress out and spread it on the bed, and noticed the big red wine stain on the FRONT of it. That must have happened VERY late in the evening, considering I dont even drink red wine!

Get that bl00dy dress dry cleaned Laurette!!!!! Get thee to a dry cleaner asap!
Mine wasn't stained with alcohol, it was more the dirt stains and FOOTPRINTS (generally Paddy's) on the train that had to be removed!!! Hahahaha.
Laurette - did you notice Mum's headband? Take a close look!
HAHAHHAAHHAAH!
Gives new meaning to the term 'di*k head'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In fact, I believe that's what Mum said when she donned them! They were flashing penises and everyone who played pin the donger on the dude had to wear them whilst I spun them round blindfolded for their go. I got an exemption cause I had to wear my flashing tiara of course.
Now the alarming thing was that my MIL, one of my students, and one of my senior work colleagues were the finalists in the competition. Oh dear! The student won, of course......
Laurette
May 4 2006, 09:22 AM
Haha. Yeah, I noticed the headband - it's a ripper!
Sorry, I forgot to tell you that I got the furniture from our local furniture One store. We got a voucher there as a present from like, all of Glenn's family, which I was dirty about, but what can you do - they dont believe in giving cash, and they dont like people shopping out of town. Dickheads. There would have been a much bigger range in Wagga, but was generally happy with it.
I cant get the dress cleaned, I tried to organise that yesterday, but the only place that we have here sends stuff away, and it would take a couple of weeks.
I still have wedding stuff to occupy me though, still waiting for the DVD to come back, and also my framed bouquet, which is our wedding present from Glenn's parents.

Chloe the pics are absolutely gorgeous. I bet you are thrilled!
We are STILL waiting for our DVD! Argh!
I'll have to see if I can get a close up pic of the penis cake....the, err, balls.....had heaps of shaved chocolate flecks to give them 'texture' and curls of liquorice to represent the hair....she put a LOT of effort in!
I loaned it to another girl not long ago who made a pink cake!!!!
I think I will have to sell it on ebay soon though, can't really justify a penis shaped cake tin in the baking tray section of the cupboard!
Laurette
May 6 2006, 06:43 PM
yes, Amanda, you're right. Post it on ebay, and then make sure that you post links in the general wedding section and the trading post!
Chloe, I am loving your photos! I cant wait to see them all! Hurry up!
Hope that you had a good time at the hens night!
Thanks for all the lovely comments re furniture, Chloe, our house is normally a pigsty, trust me it was only because the new stuff was arriving that I have got a bit better at it! Trust me!

Hi All!
Wow - am having a quick glance through all the photos and wow we all looked good! Love the runaway bride photo and Laurette's flowers. Must go through and look at some more and read all your stories.
I really should write up our day soon. The quick wrap is that we had a fantastic day. The weather was perfect for us and everyone has since told us that it was a relaxing, simple and lovely wedding. Exactly what we were trying to achieve. In spite of all the potential problems of organising from afar, we were very lucky and all our suppliers came through wonderfully.
We've also got our burmese kitten and he's just so adorable

And our honeymoon on Hamilton Island was great. so, so lazy...
I'll need to post some photos. Hubby is not keen on publishing much on the web, so I'll sort something out soon with at least a couple of photos of me and our kitty. We've only recently got our professional photos and we're really happy with them.
I love being married to hubby - being newlyweds is such a fun time

Oh gosh - and I've also turned 30.. We were so partied out it ws just a quiet evening out at Tetsuya's in Sydney (I'd been itching to go and I had so much fun.. sooooo much food).
Off to go through all the threads!
Karen
Hi Karen long time no see! Im glad to hear your day went well

I would love to see a few piccies.
Just wondering has everyone done their thank you cards yet? I think I need to buy material online to make these as there ain't nothing in this place
Laurette I remember you got your stuff online what was the name of your supplier if you remember?? So far we have have about 50 photos printed so we can personalise the thank you cards but thats as far as we have got.

Hi Karen! great to see you back here, we've missed you! Cant wait to hear all about your wedding and see some pics of you at least! maybe you can just PM us, your twinnies, a pic of the wedding without telling your DH, we wont tell him! Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I am glad that you had a nice night!
It just occured to me that I will be organising Glenn's 40th before my 30th!

May 7 2006, 05:00 PM
Michelle, it's www.dizzidezine.com.au I will also be getting the stuff for our thankyous from there too. I meant to order it on Friday, but it just hasnt happened yet. Might do it now, actually. I would 100% recommend them - I have ordered a few things from them and always had a positive experience! Good luck with it mate.
We are having the inlaws over for dinner - my first baked meal for the mother in law. This is a momentous occasion, wish me luck. Hope the crackling turns out.
I shall have a look at that website, thanks, I just basicly need pre cut cards, ribbon etc. I told neil not to worry about the cost of it as it is my little project after the wedding, feeling a bit bored and need this to occupy my time (until I get sick of these like I did the invites!)
Good news, tonight at netball we won the grand final!! I love playing mixed with Neil, we both play in defence, I play GK he played GD and we work really well. Actually he does really well cos he is so tall, but I still try hard

We also do well when I play GS and he plays GA. We have signed up for Monday mixed as well, plus I play womens on Tuesday so 3 games a week should keep us out of trouble.

These are the trophys we got, a bit poxy considering both of the players on the trophy are wearing skirts and it was for a mixed comp. Oh well I always said neil had nice long legs and would look great in a skirt
Laurette

WOW! Congratulations to you both, Michelle!
Well, John Wood finally won the gold! Thoughts?

May 8 2006, 09:40 AM
They should have given it to poor old Sally off Home and AWay. She will still be plugging away for a logie when she is in her wheelchair!
Michelle - love the trophies. Bet Neil is impressed with the skirt! Paddy and I are the same, given that he is 6ft 8in he is great in defence, but he always gets pulled up for 3 feet even though he ALWAYS takes extra just to be sure. He just puts his arm up and catches the ball. Its great!
Makes me want to go and sign up....havent played since last year!
For thanksyous I got thick linen paper and handwrote notes to EVERYONE. Argh. It took ages! I also enclosed a photo of us which I added some text to in photoshop (pic I used is below, but I cant find the file with the text on it - it is similar to that used in my sig anyway). People who have received it loved it...

Anyway, after the effort with the invites, I just wanted to keep it simple, and get it done quickly so I could come back and focus on thesis...

Urrghghh! Thank you cards! Haven't even started to think of them...!
Karen!!! SO good to hear from you! Congratulations on
1) being married
2) Fantastic Honeymoon
3) turning 30

4) New kitten (what's his name?)
And not necessarily in that order

We want photos! We want photos! Of the wedding, honeymoon, birthday and kitten. Yes, in that order!
Michelle - those trophies are so cute!!! So have you and Neil discussed which is you and which is him? I'm sure he would look tres sexy in a skirt
Laurette - how'd the first dinner go? Sounds yummy.. home cooked dinner always sounds appetising...
Amanda - don't sell the penis baking tin. You never know when you need to bake a cake in the shape of a penis. Why, I'm sure I was just thinking of baking something a little bit different just the other day!

And yes, we would definitely like to see the.. er.. hairy balls... I've told Alex and his curiousity is piqued to say the least...!!!
Righto girls! Professional photos are up and online. I've posted a selection in the newlyweds section but there is also a link in my signature. Warning - there are about 500 of them in my signature link (which is still only half of the actual photos our photographer took on the day.. which is why I am currently brokety-broke-broke as I felt I needed to buy as many photos as I could!).
Off to watch taped desperate housewives now!

Oh Chloe they are simply stunning!!!!
Don't you just hate how they can take advantage of you with nice piccies and make you pay!!!
Did anyone read that story in GCC about the I-Doer who paid like $8500 for photos, and the photographer lost a roll! Poor girl, I really feel for her.

Ahhh! That's terrible! I hope she gets her money back - or heaps of extra prints!!!
I've heard so many horror photographer stories. Alex's mum has no photos of their day because the photographer 'lost the film'.
Jeez. You'd think people would learn or something!
Ok. Today is miserable in Melbourne and I can't be #$#$#$#$#$$ doing any work. Which is really really really really really..
Really really really...

Well, the only news is that I ovulated today! Yipee! Or maybe it will be tomorrow, but definetly one of the two! Been doing lotsa BD'ing, so cross your fingers for me kidlets!
In other news, we should get our DVD tomorrow - I am so damn excited about it, I cant wait. So we will have to watch it alone, and then no doubt we will have to fly down to Glenn's parent's house and take it there, and then maybe even go over to my mum's house on Friday night to watch it there! Ha ha, I cant wait! I cant wait!

Thanks so much

I thought that it was pretty gorgeous - they are some non-professional photos that a friend emailed me

I cant wait for the DVD tonight! We get to pick it up about 7.30 pm, so be thinking of me crying by about 8pm I'd say!
I was just down the street doing the mail and stuff so I called in to see Glenn, and he's so tired, the poor chicken. He's been at work since 6am, and not even had a lunch break. He's got his Thursday night drinks tonight (the clique show, they call it) so hopefully by the time he gets home (which coincides with the arrival of the DVD) he will have sparked up a bit

HI TWINNIES!!!! (waves madly

). I'm back...well nearly! Our fantastic honeymoon has now come to an end (sniff, sniff

). I'm at Singapore Airport now and we have @6 hours to kill before our flight home to Sydney.
After the beauty and luxury of the Maldives, I was a bit worried how I'd enjoy Cambodia and Vietnam, but both countries were absolutely amazing. We have had the best time and each place we've visited has been stunning and unique in it's own way. I'll give a proper report when home, but just wanted to pop in, catch up with everyone and say hello. I've missed you girls

.
It sounds like heaps has been going on with you girls!
Laurette - congrats on Glenn's job and your move. Very exciting. Do you have a move date yet?? I love the furniture too.
Michelle - Glad you're feeling better after your bout of sickness. It didn't sound to good. That sucks about Neil maybe having to go to Afghanistan. I guess the plus with it not being this year is you should have your hubby nearby for your first married year

Hopefully, things change by next year and he won't have to go at all.
Chloe, I had a look at your professional pic's. They are so good. You looked stunning. I loved the "runaway bride". Was that before or after the ceremony!! Obviously Alex caught you and bought you back
Amanda, I tried to get into your professional pic's through the "here" link in your post here but it wouldn't work. After I finish here I'll try have a look through the Newlyweds thread. They sound fantastic. I will also vote for you in the comp when I get home. Oh, and I hope that thesis is ticking along well!!
Kathy, if/when I ttc, I may have to commission you for some booties too

i tried to teach myself to knit last year and ..... I was complete crap! Nearly as bad as I am at sewing!
Beck - congratulations on your pregnancy!!! That is fantastic news.
Laurette, best of luck with your TTC. Unfortunately I'm with the other girls. After the wedding and this honeymoon, we will be trying to re-fill the coffers for a little while, so no bubby for us yet. We rent as well and want to try build enough of a deposit (or near to) for a house before ttc'ing. Sydney house prices are just so ridiculously expensive. We're probably thinking we'll start trying next year though because I'm already 33 and we can't leave it to long.
Better sign off for now. Husband is waiting patiently for me (again) and I spotted a nice little shoe shop on the walk through the terminal....oh, that's right...saving money now, saving money now......but then, I'm still technically on my honeymoon until we land aren't I?????
speak to you soon girl and promise to get some photo's uploaded for you to look. I really did get married...honest!!!!!
Take care,
Jo.

Laurette I hope the DVD viewing is going ok for you. You should post me a copy to watch so I can have a cry too

Oh by the way have fun with Glenn tonight
Jo - good to see you back, I cant wait for your story and pics, very cruel of you to make us wait this long

Hope your honeymoon was perfect, I would love some pics of that too.
Amanda - look after yourself, I think you should have the weekend off (doctors (receptionists') orders!)
I dont have much news, sorry I havent been very active, Im still not 100% so usually feel wasted after work so haven't been posting much. Neil is such a good man looking after me, he cooked me dinner again tonight. Poor boy is being very patient too, lets just say there has been a bit of a drought in our house

I think he has only had some lovin' once in the past few weeks
Laurette
May 12 2006, 09:47 AM
Oh Michelle, you poor thing. I am sending you virtual ((((hugs)))) I hope that you start to feel a little more lively very soon and get back into it

Just be grateful that you aren’t having a drought while trying to TTC… it’s even worse.
I will try to copy the DVD, and send you one, and then maybe you can forward it on to Chloe and so on…
With regards to the DVD, it’s awesome – I am so very very happy with it! I love it so much

and my husband looks so wonderful in it! I am pretty happy with the way that it shows my dress off, as I don’t really have any photos that show the detail the way that this does! Even the cover that he made is gorgeous! Ah, I’m in love

I really hope that I can show it off to all of you – I really do.
And any person who I find on here who is getting married anywhere near our region, I will be referring them to Jim! He’s wonderful

and so laidback and accommodating! I love him too!

Awww Congratulations Laurette!!! Yes yes!! Send us the DVD if you can!!! Ours is going to take absolutely ages to arrive as they took footage of the whole day with 2 cameras so they have many many many many hours to edit... I can't bloody wait though!
JO!!! YAY! THERE YOU ARE!!!
Wow, you're only coming home now? What a fantastic honeymoon you guys must have had

Yes yes, we want lots of pictures and all the gory details (well, maybe not ALL...!!!!) Hope you went mad in that little shoe shop

Amanda - if your eyes hurt then you have done too much work. Get off the computer and give yourself a rest. Unless you're coming in here to post. That's different. That doesn't hurt the eyes at all. In fact, just rest in here as often as you like.

Michelle - I hope you get better soon. Lovely of Neil to take care of you so well - what a sweet guy

We are on permanent drought at our place. *sigh*
I've spent the last 3 days being sick. Lovely of Alex to give me all his sick germs from last week.

Unfortunately I had to work on Wednesday which was the first day of me feeling like regular shite. Then I took yesterday and today off. Just lazed about and felt sorry for myself.
My girlfriend (and bridesmaid) is down from Brisbane for the weekend and we're going to one of our very good friend's wedding tomorrow. It's a very casual garden wedding. It was her hens night last friday night which I must add, got very messy indeedy! I'm really looking forward to being a guest at a wedding and enjoying the day. Hope it doesn't rain though - its an outside one!
Love you all!!!
CC XOXOXO

jo - sooo good to hear from you! Looking forward to some posts and of course piccies!
Well, you'll all be most amused to know that the eye issue was not strain....its a condition caused by stress!!! So I had to go and get like $40 worth of eye drops, and some daggy magnifying glasses to take the strain off the eyes (strain only exacerbates the condition). It was actually in the eyelids....I couldnt believe it! Anyway, spent a weekend at the coast, which was lovely, and my mummy loves her new wedding pic!!!
Better get off to work....hopefully I can overcome the eye issues and writers block today!!!

Hi Gals.
Tonight we went to a army function which was pretty boring, but the food was good (oysters, prawns racks of lamb etc) and booze was cheap so it was bearable. Neil got an award for something too.
The old crdit card is getting a work out, last week I bought a bunch of new sheridan bath sheets and bath mats etc, some really nice bed sheets (hid the real price from king tight arse) and Ive been bidding on ebay. I just won a new dress for $45 inc postage I shall post a pic when I get it, if it fits that is. Brand new portmans dress.
What is everyone else up to?
