Hi! I'm still around, although falling behind on the thread again.

And my nails are awful and bitten down as well.. Hopefully they'll grow back a bit before the day.. Just hope I don't get nervous and chew on them during the ceremony or reception.... geez that would be embarrassing...

Shall try to catch up again. I've been working on site and the 5am starts are killing me!! I also managed to injure myself at work, and ended up in the emergency section yesterday - nothing serious - a puncture wound to my foot (how the heck it got past my steelcaps I don't know) and I have a dead arm from the tetanus injection..

I may or may not have accidently bought myself a pair of earrings when I went back in there this arvo with my AP dress...

I will have to take pictures of the dress now that its altered - it looks much better and I can actually walk in it. They took at least a foot off the length!

Today has been a relatively good day - I got my AP dress altered, picked up a pair of earrings to match it and we got home to see our engagement print package lying at the front door!

Laurette if you just wanted the flower on its own I'll ask tomorrow for you how much that would be. I saw the prices of the small and medium flowers in the shop - the small is I think $28 and the medium is $34. The largest one (I think that's the one on the website) is about the size of my palm and it would probbably be about $50 she said.

They would have to make it up for you as they didn't have any in the right colour (white and plain crystal) in the shop. Not sure how long they take to custom make but I'm sure they can do a rush order and express post it to you - apparently they do this all the time.

Beck I will ask around for you. I may have some colleagues working in that area...

Well tonight we found out that 5 (yes 5) people wont be attending our wedding who had previously said they will. HMMMmmmm I feel like sending them a bill for $500 because we will have to pay for those 5 meals unless we can find another 5 people to invite grr. The worst bit is they didnt ever tell us or mum(who was organising the rsvps) someone else had to tell us. Bloody rude.

Michelle how rude!!! I can't believe how inconsiderate some can be re RSVPs. Our last RSVP date is Saturday but many have not RSVPd and I doubt they will in the last day. But to un-RSVP without directly telling you???

Wow how fast this thread grows when you aren't in it for a week or so!!

I am almost sad that i dont get a chance to come in here as often as you girls do, it seems like you have all formed really great friendships and i kind of envy that.

Well the count is on, 15 days until the big day.

I had a bit of a rough night last night. I have found out in the past couple of days that friends of mine whom i have been friends with since school cant come to the wedding. Not one of them can make it, so all the people who have helped me be the person i am today cant make it to my wedding. I sat in the lounge room last night while Chris was asleep and cried. I felt rejected, i know that this is not the case, but i just felt rejected and upset. I couldn't reply to one of them, (they had sent an sms) because i was so upset - I still havn't replied to them yet.

Things were going so well too.

Everything is organised and done, i am on holidays for 6 weeks as of this afternoon, and was supposed to have a cruisy two weeks leading up to the wedding. I still will, but i just feel a little down at the moment.

Well thats enough of my sad mood for the moment. Just needed to get it out.

Please don’t feel rejected – I am sure that they WANT to be at your wedding, it might just be a logistical problem. You should have woken your H2B up and given him a big cuddle and told him all about it – I am sure that he would have done his utmost to make you happy

There is still plenty of time for us all to keep visiting this thread long after the wedding you know – we are ALL great friends (with a notable exception, but let’s not go into that) and I love ya! Do you wanna PM or email me a pic of you and then I can make you a pretty signature too?

I am sorry that you are feeling down – I really don’t know what to suggest – maybe a nice dinner with H2B tonight or a big chat on the phone with your mum? I know that when I feel down, I ring my nana and pa, and we always talk for about an hour – they annoy the crap out of me, but make me feel better because they always know how to make their little problems SO much bigger.

Feel free to vent/whinge in here anytime – we’re all here to listen/sympathise/help – anytime you need.

I don't know why but this wedding stuff seems to be emphasising everyone's emotions. I woulnd't usually get upset about some stuff (family issues etc) but around this time, I'm sort of on an emotional extreme. When I'm happy I'm really happy, when I'm sad I'm really sad...

Do you know why they can't make it? I'm sure they have really good reasons and as Laurette said, would love to come. Send them some nice photos and a piece of cake maybe to let them know you really missed them there and were thinkiing of them

One also let me know by sms and I still just dont know what to reply to her, I feel a bit weird because Neil and I went from Vic - Qld for her wedding, for her just to call it off 2 days before (but thats another story), so I thought she would do me the same honour. Oh well. I have definately been doing some soul searching and contemplating my life without these people, I think I need to delete their numbers from my phone and delete them from my heart. 15 days for you, I was actually lying in bed thinking about all you 4th March gals, how exciting for you hope the rest of the planning goes well for you.

Chloe I love your new sig too, well done Laurette. I might learn one day how to do something creative, it was hard enough for me to get a ticker hehe. Love the earings by the way.

Well I can discuss the interview now that Neil is at work. I know this is really dangerous, But I am so confident. I know I shoudlnt be because I will crash back down to earth if I dont get it, but I think they were really impressed with me.(not to sound up myself)

She said that during the interview I would be asked to complete a computer test because they were sick of people saying they were computer litterate then turning out not to know anything. So I expected a test, but they were so happy with me, and the fact that I have 7 yrs experience with med software that they said I dont need to do the test. I thought that was a positive.

We also discussed the fact Im getting married and might need time off, No worries they said! Have a week off!!

Every question they asked me, I thought I answered really well they all looked at each other after my answer and nodded and smiled so I hope thats a good thing.

I did tell Neil however that I did REALLY bad, that I was so nervous I stuffed everything up and stuffed up the computer test. I just dont want to dissapoint him AGAIN so its better to let him think the worst rather than be confident and dissapointed. I shall find out next week whether I was successful or not.

ok, DJ issue is SORTED!!

Apparently, she is going to set up the equipment on her lunch break and will make it there in time after the official office close time, she will still be "on call" until 9pm but she has said if she gets a call out, she will be able to get a ring-in to cover for her while she does the call out. Not the most optimal solution, but it's a solution.

I'm going to go have a relaxing shower, so my brain can stop hurting.

Yay. What a relief! Told Alex last night of stuff that was going on in other twinnies weddings (cancellations etc) as he was stressing about our stuff (e.g. how to get all our animals up to Brisbane so mum can look after them while we are away).

I told him to put it all in perspective and he agreed to calm down a bit.

Im glad that everything worked out with the nail tech i spoke to her last night and she is happy to be able to help you out.Now there is a couple of things you should and shouldnt do once you have the enhancements on.

Do not pick at the acrylic.

Only use acetone free polish remover

If Jade has any little bottles of "solar oil" with her buy some and use it at least 2 times a day it will help keep the acrylic in good condition it should cost you about $7 or $8 dollars.I cant recomend it highly enough it is also good for natural nails as well so use it on your toes if you are having open shoes on your wedding day.

Also ask her about a good hand cream "creative scentsations"is a really good one as it is formulated for hands and nails.

Kathy I have used that solar oil I think - does it smell really nice thats all I remember of it. I am lucky with my nails I dont do anything to them and they grow so fast. They are also really thick and strong Im forever cutting them off

Michelle - all the best with the job - at least with feeling positive about how you went is a good sign. If you are positive about the interview then more than likely the interviewers got this vibe from you. With the computer test, they obviously thought that your resume speaks volumes otherwise they would surely have asked you to complete the test.
I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

I am feeling much more positive about things right now. I received not long after lunch flowers from work and i was so surprised and touched i will be smiling all aftenoon long.

The countdown is on til home time!!

I have my make up trial on the weekend so i think that maybe the nerves will start kicking in then, so far i have been really good.

I will pretty much have the nexk two weeks to bludge. I have finished to order of service booklets, printed, ribbon tied and ready to go.

My Uncle gave me some coloured stones the other day for the vases for the reception, so it will prob take me a couple of hours to wash the dust of those (he works at a place called outback soils, they have all sorts of sand and pebbles and wood chips and all that sort of garden stuff).

I was just wondering - do eyebrow waxes hurt? I have never had my eyebrows waxed, but think that they may need a tidy up before the wedding. Sure i pluck, but plucking does not get every hair.
So are they painful or what? And how long does the redness stay for after?

Nah, it doesnt hurt - will sting for about 5 seconds, then you will be fine!

Wow we're all so busy!

Chloe the jewellry looks beautiful, as does the AP dress. Wow.

My foot is a lot better. I can walk on it fairly well (although not for too long as how I'm walking on it puts pressure on my knee). The tetanus injection feels more painful now than my foot I need to ask work for a new pair of boots now as these ones let in water...

I haven't waxed my eyebrows in years.. Might have to fit that one in too. I'm a wimp with any other waxing, but eyebrows I can handle. It calms down fairly soon and it's much faster than when I attempt anything with the tweezers...

And Michelle (Princess belle) I'm sorry to hear about your friends.. Weddings do seem to bring out the emotional edges for people.. We're getting some people travelling for long distances and paying a lot of money to come and are really excited for us, and others that live in the same town have not RSVPd yet.. And we still don't have a best man...

And thanks for the kick up the bum Michelle. I really do need it. Wedding planning has not come naturally to me and it gets done in fits and starts, mainly after prompting from other people (thanks little brother ). I was completely naive about it all and really thought five months would be plenty...

And I can't remember who posted the picture of the two kittens but NO FAIR. They were wayy too cute for words! I'm kitten clucky at the moment and we're talking of getting one after our honeymoon.
