Wow Michelle, I cant believe that you have left your home now – that’s so weird. I hope that you have a safe trip, and get to have lots of special bonding time together!
The next few weeks will fly, and I imagine that the forums will be very quiet over this period.
I will keep in touch.

Michelle!!!!! You can't go!!!!
How will we reach 3000 posts if you're NOT here to talk to?
Melbourne will miss you. The T2 lane on Hoddle St will miss you.
Most of all, until you return, the Marchies thread will miss you!
Have a fantastic Christmas and a very safe and happy new year! If you even so much as walk past or see from a distance an internet cafe along your travels, I expect you to log in to I-do and give us an update!

Hi all (including Michelle in the internet cafe)
The ball was fantastic. I don't really have photos - maybe one or two shots of Alex and my heads (no full length unfotunately - and as we've previously discussed Laurette, I tend to usually leave his head out heheheh). I'll see what I can do. If I find somethng I'll post - promise!
My mother can no longer make the bridesmaid dresses (I still think she is superwoman but I don't want her to show all her super powers to the world... plus its stressful being a superhero and trying to sew EVERYONE' outfit for the big day). I am now hoping to find a dressmaker in Brisbane who can sew 2 bm dresses and who also doesn't cost too much...
Other than that, haven't done any invites. We pretty much just bummed around all weekend and had ppl over for dinner...
Hope everyone's weekend was enjoyable/fruitful/productive etc

Hi Girls,
Well my weekend was great. Mark and i had a fun time away at Kingscliff.
We swam, we sun bathed, we relaxed, we drank it was a much-needed break. I got a little sun-burnt, but hopefully it'll turn into a nice tan for the wedding.
The wonderful Sue dropped my flowers off at 2pm today, so i have my flowers!!!!
WOOHOO!!
I think i may have forgotten to post a pic of what my boquet ended up looking like once it got changed. If this turns out to be the case, i'll post one a little later on. The box is too big to make it part of what we take down in march, so i'm going to have to post it down to mum. It's going to cost me over $25 to post it down to mum, including getting sent via registered post and getting postage insurance!!! Not cheap!!
Also our passports are due to arrive any day now, so that's kind of exciting.
I noticed no one had a "3 months to go" celebration yesterday! You didn't forget did you?
That's all for now

Morning Girls,
Sorry wasn' near a computer for a few days. Our one at home at to be taken back to Albury only got it 6 months ago and the harddrive is corupted so need a new hard drive, which means we may lose all our data. And as i have monday's off couldn't get back on till today.
Sounds like everyone is getting organised for the Xmas/New Year period, and sorry i won't be around to help get the 3000 either. From Xmas onwards will be flat out until our wedding.
Had a relaxing weekend, and a bit too much drinking on Saturday night too. Spent the weekend with a girlfriend relaxing by the pool sipping champayne, what a life!!
My first invite went out on Friday, it had to be sent to JImmy's uncle in america, but the rest don't go out until the 1st week in January (after by brothers NYE wedding).
Not much other news, will look in again later today to see what you are all up to.
Cheers

Hi Girls,
HAPPY (belated) 3 MONTHS TO GO to all the 11 March girls

I went to log in on Sunday but my stupid laptop has crashed again

Very annoying. Have to take it in to be looked at, so thought I'd sneak at work during my lunch. Tamara, I can sympathise with you about your computer. It's very frustrating when they break down. Mine worked fine on Saturday night and then wouldn't work on Sunday. Go figure.
And I missed saying goodbye (for now) to Michelle

Michelle, if you happen to pop into an internet cafe on your travels, have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and be safe in your travels. Ohh, and of course, have fun with your hair and make-up trial.
Beck, your weekend sounded lovely. Just what the doctor ordered - relax, relax and more relax (well, it's what my doctor should be ordering for me

).
Chloe, your Ball sounded great. I had to giggle at your late night post
I took my BM and dress in to the shop to speak to the Manager on Saturday - expecting a big arguement, but as soon as explained the issue (dress is smaller than the store size my BM originally tried on), she said "no problems, we have been having this quite a bit and we'll send it back to be either let out or remade". Just like that! It turns out that they only found out themselves (the supplier didn't tell them) that the fabric does stretch, so when girls are squeezing into dresses a bit too small for them and someone else comes along and orders that size because the dress shop size fits perfectly, it comes back too small. She said the supplier is an absolute nightmare to deal with and if the dresses weren't so nice, she would cut them off, but is kind of stuck. So, that is that! It has been sent back for fixing. If the sales assistant had of said all this to start with rather than telling me it was my problem (I ordered a size X and got a size X) etc, it would have saved me a lot of angst.

Anyway, problem nearly solved. I just have to wait until it comes back and hope it fits perfectly.
I finished off the first bit of my invites last night. I'm not too excited yet because that is only the front cover bit and I will have to print, cut and put together the insides plus do the RSVP and wishing well cards. Oh, and put the ribbon on the front

Oh well, one step at a time I guess.
Jo.

Everyone must be busy today!!
Just thought i'd pop in to say hi. I get to out for dinner tonight wish will be a nice change so sick of saying we can't go out have to save money! But he's our harvesting so i'm going with the girls.
How's everyone's xmas shopping going? Mine is still in the thinking stage going on Monday.
Only two and half weeks and i'm on holidays, can not wait for the break.
We are firstly heading down to Mt Gambier for my brothers wedding on new years eve, then to sydney on the Sunday night, then onto Forster (NSW coast) for a week relaxing at our Best Mans beach house (no TV, no Phones except mobiles, lots of reading, playing cards, swimming, skiing and of course the odd champas here or there) So lots of travelling but it will be worth it.
Hope you all have an enjoyable night
Cheers

Mark and i got our passports in the mail today! YAY!!!!
I got 4 more OOS made yesterday, not a huge effort i know, but now i'm approximately a quarter through getting them made, getting there slowly.......it's a bit hot to be slaving over this stuff at the moment, i'm sure i'll pick up the pace once we get an airconditioner, whenever that'll be!!
Yes Kathy i have got some more rsvp's, we're now up to 14 in total i believe!! I don't expect to get any more rsvp's 'til sometime in the new year now.
I've been keeping myself occupied with organising my hens night, which looks like it's going to be stacks of fun. I've decided i'm going to have a hens night here in Brisbane the last saturday before we fly down to Melbourne, and then more of a kitchen tea/bridal shower type thing the saturday before the wedding down in melbourne.
I have no idea what i'm doing for my bridal shower, as the girls wont tell me, but for my hens, i'm having a 'sex and the city' themed thing and we're hiring out a daiquiri machine and getting sexy shaped straws and such.

Hello marchies!
well Im in Brissie thanks for your text Kathy it was nice to know you were thinking of me. Its a wee bit humid in Brissie - we are slowly aclimatising to the humidity. We went shopping today and came out to a tropical storm it was nice and warm (the rain) last time we got caught in the rain was in Melb and we ran back to the car and I lost the function of my fingers and my face froze it was that cold.
Well we take off for rockampton on sunday, then should arirve in townsvill eon omnday - we stay there for 2 weeks.
Laurette I saw tremora on the map we were so close if I had of known earlier we should have met up.
Anyway dont have any other news. Just poippin gin to let you know Im alive.
Merry Christmas if I dont make it back before.

Glad to hear things are well.

Yay Michelle! Glad to hear you've arrived safely in Brisbane - you should be in Townsville sometime today. Everyone I've spoken with in Brissie has talked about the storms and really hot weather... It's gonna be a big change from Melbourne

Yesterday, I started the invitations. I scored 70 pieces of cardboard, cut about 250 pieces of paper and glued about half of that. And I'm not even about a quarter of the way through...Had to stop when I ran out of glue. This christmas is going to be a fun-filled, working bee type of christmas *sigh*.
Mum arrives Christmas day to start making my dress. She's going to be in Melbourne for 6 days and then returns to Brisbane. I have no idea how she's going to do it, but if she pulls it off, she will truly be a supermum.
Hope everyone's weekend was good.
*Gulp!!!!* My ticker will be saying 2 months and something days now!

Happy Less Than 3 Months Chloe!
I have also started on invitations.
Yesterday, it took me ALL FREAKIN DAY to print all the envelopes (about 90 of them) work out the wishing well poem and print (another 90) and work out the final invitation format.
Am going to start printing the invites tonight, and then over the weekend I am flogging the guillotine from work, so will have a busy 4 days.
I spoke to my florist and my ribbon will be here this week, so with any luck I will have all the invitations completed by the end of the long weekend... that's the plan, anyway. Whether or not it happens is an entirely different thing.
The girls dresses arrived and two of them tried them on on the weekend, and they are great. I am really happy with them. We will have a fitting with the dressmaker in January, and get the dresses sorted out.

I just thought i'd pop in and say 'hi'.
Not much is new for me, i have handed out a fair few invites at work for the hens night up here, everyone seemed to be pretty interested, so hopefully i'll get lots coming.
Mark and i booked our flights down for the wedding on the weekend, so it was good to get that out of the way. Now we just have to concentrate on trying to get the credit card down once again!
I've finally patched things up with my chief bridesmaid, so that's all good.
The money for my trust fund came through, so that's sitting collecting interest in a high interest day-to-day savings account currently we have more money in there then we're going to need for the honeymoon, which is fantastic news, coz this means we're going to be able to kick a good sized hole in the debt on our television once the wedding is over.
Then we'll either start saving to go to Europe (for a holiday) or start saving to move back to Melbourne.
That's all for now, i'll pop back in on saturday or sunday to wish you all a merry xmas (unless something exciting happens before then).

Hi girls,
When I was reading through the posts for the last few days it suddenly hit me that we were at the (or nearly) 2months and ..... mark

That has completely freaked me. I just had the 3 mth number in my head! Where does the time go!!!
hi yes_chef. Don't worry, you'll probably find things will just fall into place. My best friend got engaged earlier in the year and got married just over 4 weeks later. We pulled the wedding together in 4 weeks and 2 days! So, it can be done! Let us know if you have any questions or if we can help
Chloe and Laurette, I'm feeling your invitation pain. My invites have a fold out cover that has our names printed on the inside flap and a rose embossed into the paper. The front of the invite has some silver skeleton leaves, burgundy roses and some dodder vine and then some burgundy ribbon wrapped around it. Then when you open it up, the inside is printed with all the details. This was all well and good when I was mucking around and came up with the design earlier in the year, but making 100 of them is a different story!!

I had to firstly print one edge with our names, them emboss them all, then trim to the right size, then score in two place for the tri fold and THEN start adding the leaves, roses etc. I finally finished all of them up to that point, but now I have to cut and wrap the ribbon then print, cut and assemble the inside!!! I think I'm mad!!

The frustrating thing is that earlier in the year I had quite a lot of free time to do it but the last couple of months have just been ridiculousy busy at work, so all of a sudden, I have very little time. oh well, I guess there's the public holiday next week
Kathy, say hello to Michelle for me. I hope her hair trial went well.
Not much else for me. I'm all work, work and more work atm. I haven't even finished my Christmas shopping
If I don't get in before Christmas (I still don't have my laptop working

), have a fantastic Christmas everyone and I'll see you back here next week.

Hi girls,
well the end is near we can almost say we get married this year! Looking forward to the end of this week to spend sometime with my family, and see my gorgeous nephews and niece.
Well a very busy few months ahead for all of us. We can all start looking forward to our honeymoons. By the way have any of you gone out and bought some nice lingerie for your honeymoon?
Trying to get fit a lose a little bit of weight before my first dress fitting for alterations on the 15th jan, which may be hard with christmas, NYE and a holiday all in between i'll just have to control myself (very hard).
My soon to be sister in law (NYE wedding) said she has not been trying one bit and has lost a few kilos in the last two weeks so there is still hope that it will jsut fall of with all the stress.
Will probably not get back on here until after new year now so Hope you all have a wonderful christmas and a happy new year. Talk to you all in 2006!!!

Hi girls. We are in Townvsille. We drove to the other side of town just so I could jump on the net at an internet cafe.
We met with the celebrant. Very nice but reminds me of side show bob a bit. But he is very friendly and a bit of a hippy.
The island is dead and it was a bit dissapointing to see, hopefully the rain will start soon and it will green up. We have picked a beach to get married on, not exactly what we both had in mind but it will do I guess.
The reception place was pretty crap too. The grounds are also dead, the accomodation that is costing us all a fortune reminds me of a caravan park. HMM.
Hair trial was shit too. I was in tears for a long time afterwards.
Mum suggested that we look around in T'ville for a reception location etc but its too late and we will lose so much money if we do that..
All the invites are out and Ive already had an sms from a cousin who is angry that she wasnt invited. I havent spoken to her for 3 years so Im not too worried.
Anyway thats all. Merry Christmas take it easy and dont drink too much!

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!
Beck and Mystical - sorry to hear of your losses. Sending all my love to you and your families.
Congratulations Laurette on completing your invitations! Kathy, can't believe Amanda has also finished hers! I'm soooo slack - started doing them a few weeks ago but this last week, all I have been doing is eating and sleeping. Which is NOT GOOD for wedding dress fittings which is what mum is down here from Brisbane doing...
As previously mentiond, my mum is going to make my dress (or should I now say, is making). She's flown down for 6 days (arrived on christmas day) to sew a calico mock up (see below) and the actual lining layers. She spent the first few days drafting patterns and last night she put together a calico rough idea of the dress.
So, thought I might share a sneak sneak preview of the back of my dress - its a calico fitting so very rough and obviously not the right material but after months of umming and ahhing about the design (we are still deciding how we want the top to look like...!) I think its looking pretty good!
(Picture removed... for now

)
I can't believe this is it. Invitations are almost done and dress has been started. Still feels very surreal.... About 2 and a half months...!!!!!!!

Alex and I are going on detox now to make up for christmas feasting.
