I dont have anything to update about. Im very glad another week is over, one more week of work left! Im just sitting back now with a glass of chardonnay. We have a weekend full of visiting the inlaws, tomorrow we are off to see FIL then sunday night dinner at MIL's. We finally get out little car back tomorrow after a month at the panel beaters. Neil gets to drive that now, I get the big car. I dont use the 'L' word much, but I love my new car

Im still just trying to work out music lists. I dont know what to walk down the "aisle" to, well its not an aisle, its just red carpet down the beach to Neil. Then I need to find 7 mins of songs while signing and getting pics, then music for after the ceremony. I also need pre ceremony music, and then reception music. The only song I know for sure is our bridal waltz song.

I had a dream last night and its really upset me all day, I cried when I relayed it to neil this afternoon. It was my wedding day and dad was alive, and I was just so happy and proud that he was going to walk me down the aisle. I woke up happy but realised it was just a dream I dont know how I am going to cope on the day without him by my side, and yeah I know he will be there somewhere, but its just not the same

Update for me, the new TV is sitting in our lounge and is looking very shiney!

We put down a deposit for our honeymoon yesterday.

We ended up deciding to go for an upgrade, we're now staying in a beachfront Bure with it's own plunge pool on the balcony!!! What a luxury eh? It's just a pitty we have to waste our forst night at a crappy airport hotel coz we fly in too late to even catch the last transfer for the day

Michelle - I'm so sorry about your dream. I feel really disoriented when a dream seems to real and when you wake up, reality comes crashing down. I'm sure (whatever religion or no religion you are) your father will be with you on your special day. He'll be really proud and he'll give you strength to walk down the aisle/red carpet.

Just to change the topic, want to hear of a dream I had a couple of weeks ago?

This occurred when Alex and I were up in Brisbane and I was staying at Mum's (without Alex). I dreamed that he cheated on me with some Singaporean floosy who was visiting (not a real person) and had been doing so for the whole 3 days she was staying at our house (while I was also under the same roof!). They also slept together before when they went on conference together prior to this 'trip'. Of course this was all a dream, however, I woke up ROPABLE.

I gave Alex hell all day long. I was soooo mad at him all day. Kept hissing to him 'Can't believe you cheated on me!'. To which he would just look at me helplessly and say 'I'm sorry'. Even my mum said to Alex - you'd better not cheat on her, or at least, if you do , don't tell her for god's sake!

Oh Michelle, I am so sorry to hear about your dream Not fun, I bet. Like Chloe said, I am sure that he will be with you on your big day, whether you realise it or not. You're getting MARRIED - he wouldnt miss is for the world.

I lost an uncle to suicide when I was about 10, and the family has never really gotten over it - it's just sort of hanging there. he was my favourite uncle, and I know that he will be with me on my wedding day. I am counting on it!

Sorry to make light of it Chloe, but your dream made me ROFL. I had a similar dream a couple of weeks ago and I cant remember all the details, but Glenn called off our engagement with no explaination, but I am sure that there was a blonde involved

When I told him about it, I was the one in trouble, for being 'stupid'. Pfft. I dont take that sort of thing too lightly!

Well, today we went to RockPaperScissors (Melbourne stationery shop) and bought 200 x Quartz cardboard. We're locked in people - to making about 80 invitations and about 100 Order of Service booklets.

Might go borrow some nice chick flicks and start cutting and glueing. I'll have to post a picture of the sample ones we've made up soon. I'm still not 100% decided on the colours (except the main cardboard cos we've bought that already) so you'll have to help me choose!

Hope everyone's weekend is going well - btw, its freezing in Melbourne today... ?!?

hi girls hope you all had a good weekend. We did at FIL's house it was actually a good weekend.

Chloe your right it has been cold in Melb. Im sitting here wearing my winter dressing with a furry little cat sitting on me warming my lap.

Well my lovely boy left at 5am this morning, and doesnt get back until Sunday pm. So its just me and Piggy this week. I plan on making a big batch of lasagne today which I will freze and that will do me all week. The fridge and freezer are a bit bare, we are trying to empty it before the move so we dont have to waste anything.

I have to take a friend to the doctors this morning, she sent me a message at 5am (yes 5am) to see what time I am picking her up. Does this seem rude to anyone else?


Anyway I am picking up our invites today hopefully they looks ok.

If she has no real excuse (i.e. not living in some country where the time difference has confused her and therefore she thought 5am was a reasonable hour to call) then no.

5am falls within blackout time. Way too early for phone calls - or anything for that matter.

Oh, Michelle, that is so rude – totally not acceptable. Maybe for you it was lucky that that was the same time that Neil was leaving, so you were already awake, yes?

Don’t know about anyone else, but gawd I had trouble getting out of bed this morning. I struggled. Then I didn’t want to get out of the shower – it was nice in there. I love our new little house (I will have to take some inside pictures for you all) and I just want to stay there the whole time.

I had just calculated that I have 13 weeks of work until I get to have 6 weeks off. Cant wait. Can anyone say excited? I am!

Michelle, I cant wait to see your invitation pictures, and Chloe I expect you to charge your camera today so that you can show us what you are doing also.

I have good intentions of going to see the florist today with my new bouquet pictures, and I will let you all know this afternoon the outcome of that discussion.

I am starting to have second thoughts about my invitations – I think that I really want them to be in white, with black ribbon, but I have $600 worth of black cardboard at home, so I am guessing that they will be staying in black. But, then I might put them all together and see that they actually look OK. I really wanted to have the black covers on the OOS booklets, so I guess that I have to make this sacrifice. Ah well, I am sure that it will all come together in the end.

Thursday night I am going to have to go to Wagga, I need to get my waxing done – something strange has happened to my eyebrows and they need to be tamed. They are just making my whole face look ridiculous. And the other waxing too, of course. I also have to get the vellum glue from Spotlight – I reckon that they will be the best bet out here in the sticks rather than hiking all over the world looking for it.

I got some new work shirts last week (bought them through Ezibuy) and tried them on before getting them embroidered, and they fit fine. Now, this morning they have been embroidered, washed, ironed and I went to put one on, and it was too tight.

So not happy. I am going to have to start walking FAST and SOON, so that I can get into these goddamn shirts! (not to mention the wedding dress, but that’s a whole other story).

I had a very non-eventfull weekend.

We just sat at home an watched movies on our new tv.

The invites were supposed to be posted today, but it looks like they're not going to be posted 'til Wednesday or Thusday now. I'm a bit annoyed and disappointed with mum as i really thought i could count on her with this one, but on the other hand, i do feel i've got to cut her a little slack as i know she's been flat chat running around researching and looking at nursing homes for my grandfather who is probably due out of hospital any day now, and i know he can't ever go back home, so she needs to find one fast.

I was just sssooo looking forward to knowing that the invitations were out there and sent so that people would start calling and we could start ticking off names......

I've got an interview at 9am this wednesday for a really good position at work, this is the position that i've been waiting FIVE YEARS for!!! Please please keep everything crossed for me!!! I need all the people i can get praying for me, there's apparently 4 other people going for it!! Man i want this SO bad!!!

Well this weekend been quite boring done nothing except the ironing. I hope everyone had a good weekend. What did you guys do?

I had a very boring weekend – although dinner out on Friday night was good fun. We really enjoyed it! Had a couple of bottles of wine with Linda, and generally ate a lot of good food and paid lots of money for it, but it was worth it for sure.

Then Saturday just veged around at home, not doing much really – a lot of washing (I did seven loads over the weekend, so ironing will be calling tonight!) which I had to travel back and forth between FMIL’s to hang out (4 blocks away!) as our clothesline is busted and noone has come to fix it yet. It’s not something that we can fix ourselves, either.

Saturday night we were supposed to have people over, but they cancelled, so we had heaps of food that we didn’t need. Bugger about that… So we had to have another BBQ last night to try and use up some of the salad… and more salad at lunch today!

So we stayed home and watched a video, had an early night and Glenn dreamt and talked about horses in his sleep – that’s a sure sign that he’s spending too much time at the TAB!

Sunday was more washing, and a nap on the lounge room floor at lunch time, Glenn cooked me breakfast on the BBQ, since it had to be out, and that was nice to not have the house smelling like bacon and eggs all day, but still get to eat them! Yummo.

Tonight is Monday and we always go to FMIL’s for a baked dinner on Monday nights, so that will be good! Looking forward to that – and I have 5 parcels at the post office (thanks to Glenn’s latest addiction – ebay) to be picked up today! Hooray! Hope it’s my golf sticks!

In case I forgot to tell you all, Glenn has bought me a set of golf sticks so that I can play with him and I don’t have to use his anymore, as they are just too big and heavy for me, and the driver is the wrong size.

No Michelle, NOW please! At least tell us if you are happy with them?

I am happy with them, I knew how they were going to end up - very plain but nice - if that makes sense? Oh ok I will go find the camera...

Ok and because Im feeling generous. These pics are just an idea for a centrepiece.It needs something else, Im just not sure yet. The little silver holders around the tea light candles will go and be replaced with glass holders. Any suggestions as to what else is needed? Perhaps a ribbon around the candle?

Wow, they look great. I think that once you have the glass holders and the candles lit, then it will be enough, personally.

Your invitations and centerpeices look great very simple but ellegant.

If you were going to put anything else on the table it would have to be something small.

So maybe go with the ribbon around the candle or if you are having a beach theme maybe some small shells and a bit of sand on the mirrors.

Michelle your invites are great! Very elegant I too agree with Laurette - with the glass holders and candles lit they will be magnificent. Maybe you could have a go at lighting them and even taking a picture? Maybe just an extra ribbon on the main candle you'd have to be careful they didn't burn down to the ribbon on the night cos then you'd have melting ribbon on the tables
