Dancing Girl
Hi Girls,

sorry I haven't been in too post for a few days. i had one of those flat out weekends! i'll try to get in more to lift that page count!! biggrin.gif

Michelle and Beck, I love your suits. Your boys will look very handsome biggrin.gif Mine will be a bit more formal, so my boys will all be in tails. Jase will have a light silver vest/tie and the GM's will probably be in a darker silver or charcoal. Because I'm in blush pink and BM's are in a rose/pink colour, the silvers looked better than white or ivory.

Laurette, I love bouquet #2 as I love tulips as well, but if you get a hot day, they won't last well. You can get them in March (I guess depending on the florist though) because I have seen them, but they won't last as long as a cooler day/month, so my vote is for bouquet #3 which is also gorgeous. biggrin.gif

Well, after months of trying to make up our minds and working out an itinerary, we have finally booked our honeymoon. biggrin.gif I'm so excited. We are going to the Maldives first. We will stay here for seven nights in a Lagoon Villa and then four nights here in a Superior Water Villa. We will then fly to Singapore and on to Angkor Wat in Campbodia to see the ancient temple ruins and then to Vietnam, where we will spend 3-4 weeks travelling from the south to the north, then back to Singapore and on home. We will be away for over 6 weeks in total. biggrin.gif So excited!! This will be our last hoorah before mortgage and kids!

I had my first dress fitting tonight. It was the first time I had seen my dress since ordering it in March and I fell in love all over again. biggrin.gif I felt so beautiful. I was a bit worried about the sizing because I was between two sizes and the shop owner advised me to go smaller because the lace-up on the bodice on the bigger size was just a little too big - didn't leave enough of a gap. So, I've been a bit worried that it wouldn't fit, but it's perfect (except I won't be able to eat too much chocolate between now and then laugh.gif ). Only the hem needs to come up a little bit. I felt so good and just can't wait until I put it on on the day. I took my camera but the batteries died just as she was about to take a pic sad.gif Bugger!! My next fitting is end January, so unfortunately I won't be able to post pics until then. Sorry girls sad.gif

Jase has made me dinner and is getting grumpy that's it's getting cold while I i-do, so I better go biggrin.gif

BTW, I am at 3.00pm on 25 March in Sydney!!

jo.

eta; stuffed up links dry.gif
Laurette
Oh Jo - so jealous about your honeymoon! Looks like you are going to have an amazing time. Make sure that you take your camera, charge the batteries and bring us back a million pics to look at please!
---
Wow Jo your honeymoon sounds amazing. Shame your camera died for your dress fitting, ah well maybe next time. I dont know if I missed the update about your job - I assume all is ok now? I hope so.

Well I have 11 working days to go until I can quit this aweful job. I am so sick of having panic attacks in the car because the peak hour traffic on the way to work scares the sh|t out of me. Im looking forward to moving to somewhere that doesnt have any peak hour traffic!!

We leave in 3 1/2 weeks I have so much to do, we have a pre inspection - inspection on monday, so on top of a flat out weekend we have to get the house spotless. sat am we have to go to the invitation place and give them invitation list, then sat afternoon go suit shopping with the boys again. Sunday we have a family bbq and have to fit in some major cleaning..Luckily we did some gardening last week so its only inside we need to do.

Next weekend will be a write off as we are at neils dads all weekend. The weekend after that Neil will be out field, and the weekend after that is our going away party.

CHLOE! Get your damn dutt in here and tell us what is going ON!
Nikki_A
Hey girls,

Yes, I am still alive!! Thought id better pop in.. Ive been into my March 25th twinnies, now its time i popped in here!! smile.gif

Laurette, dancing girl, ellerson, how is everything!?!?! I am so sorry i havent been on in ages, lots been going on etc... But im back on here knowing Paul & I can work thorugh anything!!!! smile.gif

Well , i guess you all want to know what’s been happening with me ladies…. We went up to Palm Cove to suss it all out 4 weeks ago, and like I said before it is in desperate need of an update!! There’s a lot of unfinished roadwork’s going on all over the roads, and the beaches, well lets just say there not picture perfect, like the photos show them! The beaches are very dirty as such… lots of dirt on them, rather than sand….. So we have decided to go somewhere that is guaranteed to be just as gorgeous and post card perfect as the photos! Hamilton island.. Just lucky we got our $600 deposit back on the Angsana Chape at Palm Cove which was a huge relief so that helped us along with Hamilton a lot!

I have also booked myself in for a solarium once a week (hope that’s not too much dry.gif ) starting already leading up to the big day!! I have been wanting to go for them my whole life, but never got around it! Gotta love bronze look! !

I am sooo excited! We have an appt booked on Thursday night to go speak with a travel consultant about our honeymoon! We have already booked and put a deposit on our flights so it’s all definitely happening now!! Up until you put the money down there’s so many things that can go wrong but the deposits down so we’re not letting anything get in the way of this trip!!!… This is the plan: Fly Brisbane to Paris, 4 nights in Paris , 3 in Italy doing Venice etc, 2 in London, and that’s all we’ve really worked out so far… We picked a great time to plan it, cos it just so happens there is this Flight Centre Convention in the Sofitel this weekend that gives heaps of cheaper discounted accommodation and exclusive savings in heaps of things which is great so we’re going to that for accommodation ideas etc….

Oh Oh Oh! I have to tell you’s! Im soo happy…. I got a new puppy! A wee lil Pomeranian! He is the cutest dog ever!! I wish I had a pic here on my work computer and id show ya but I don’t so ill have to upload one when I get home tonight.. He is 11 weeks old tomorrow! We named him Sonic, after Sonic the hedgehog, cos that’s what he looks like! A spitting image of a fox cross hedgehog... As funny as it sounds its so true! The cutest face you’ve ever seen!!!

I got my dress out!! Picked it up about 5 weeks ago now, and still as in love with it as ever! I cant stop myself wanting to look at it! Every time I go past the closet I just want to take it out and put it on!!! I just have to keep telling myself that if i keep looking at it im going to wear it out!!

Anyways my lovelies, i should let someone else get on this page and not hog the whole thing hey.. Thought I’d update though!

Welcome to the forums Tomara, Rochelle & Shazz… I haven’t been on for a while so I haven’t been able to give u my welcome so their it is!! tongue.gif

Hope everyones doing great! Speak soon..

Luv, nik.

HIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sooo Sooo sorry I've been MIA for such a long time.

Everyone's plans sound fantastic!!!!

Just returned from Brisbane (sooo sleep deprived!) and have organised quite a bit.

Hair: here's a picture of the hair trial - let me know what you think smile.gif
user posted image

Make up: Was much better except for the false eyelashes that stayed in my line of vision for the whole day (little black burry things.. very annoying, like sunglasses that have scratches in them!)

Dress: Have material (finally!) and mum has started to draft some patterns. We still haven't decided on a final design but its almmmooossstt there...

BM Dresses: As mum is making these, girls got measured up on the weekend. We're going for Cerise and Cream and dusty pink (change of colour scheme).

Suits: Alex has his - bought it from the DFO in Essendon guess how much!!! $249 for a dinner suit! The boys are going to buy theirs intead of hiring as it is soooo cheap.

Ooh and I met up with Priest again (maybe for the last time before March) and it was very interesting.... but that's another post! tongue.gif

Saffire
Jo your honeymoon sounds FANTASTIC!!!!! (Can I come?!?)

Laurette and Michelle - you guys crack me up!!!!!!!!! However may I please present *drum rolll*

CHLOE'S BUTT

Present in the Marchie's Thread smile.gif

Michelle - can't believe you're leaving Melbourne so soon!!! Time flies. Glad you'll be rid of your job though. Where are you going suit shopping? Did I mention how cheap Alex's suits were?

Nik Congrats on your new puppy biggrin.gif
Nikki_A
Hey darl!! Havent seen u around in a long time….

You were in Brisbane? We should have caught up for a coffee? That is, if I wasn’t MIA for so long before u left!! laugh.gif Glad it all worked out for you up here!! B biggrin.gif

The hair looks gorgeous by the way!! That’s a really pretty style… laugh.gif at the false eyelashes! How annoying!! That’s actually happened to me once before for a big work function and they were in front of me the whole night! wacko.gif I wasn’t impressed……

Great that u found the dress material! That’s generally one of the hardest things to find.. Where did u find it? smile.gif

Isnt the DFO excellent!?!?! (For some things) … Ive been there 4 or 5 times and never once walked out without anything! laugh.gif I love the place… But I think its one of them places, u either like or u don’t….. IYKWIM…. U gotta be interested in whats in there, cos a lot of its so different to your normal shops…. cool.gif

How did the priest meeting go? Where is that post?
Laurette
Thanks very much for the update girls! Great to hear from you!
Laurette
Michelle and I get bored easily, Chloe tongue.gif

LOVE the hair trial - you have to go with that! PMSL at the eyelashes, I can just imagine you walking around half blind, with your hands out ... like Madonna sayd 'feee......llll your way'.

Sorry. I need food. Better go find some lunch.

4 people in this thread all at once? That's a record for recent times!
Saffire
hehehe

See Girls, I'm trying to catch up and read all the posts I've missed (well, last 5 pages at least) so you gotta give me a chance to do that as well as post updates!

The Priest:

Our priest is really cool (and catholic) - he's all for us living together and.. as he puts it... BONKING (not something I am comfortable talking about with a man of god). Anyway, on Sunday we went to his place to do the last minute counselling stuff etc. We had to sign a tree farm's worth of forms. There's the intent to marry form and a whole bunch of catholic forms as well - more than usual cos I'm a non-catholic so we have to get special permission etc.

It was like we were getting married right there and then! He had to ask us questions out loud (read from the form) and we had to give a verbal answer, he had to witness our answer and we all had to sign.

So one of the questions sort of went like this... Do you promise to give yourself to (partner)..something something something... for the rest of your life?

Which the priest translated for us:
"You know what this means don't you? It means: Will you put out whenever he wants it?"
I sat there shocked and bewildered.
The priest looked over to Alex and said - don't worry, you'll get asked the same question - to which Alex replied "Yes DEFINITELY". The priest laughed and said "I haven't bloody asked you yet, but that's what they all say!".

Anyway, the moral of the story is that I have signed a form saying that I will put out for my husband whenever he wants it. I verbally added the clause "within reason".
Saffire
Laurette I love Love Love your bouquet (Number 2). I'm sure your florist will be able to something similar without the tulips...

Met the florist on Sunday too. We are going to see if David Austin roses are available in March in Brisbane. She's a good friend of FMIL and wants to do the flowers as a wedding present smile.gif

All the boys will get red rose button holes, mums will get orchid corsages.

Here's a pic of Alex in his suit:

CHLOE! YOU CUT HIS HEAD OFF!
Saffire
Hahahahha - ROFL

But i got the most important bits!

tamarajnixon
Afternoon Girls,

Another boring day at work! Can't wait to find a new job closer to home but it's a long waiting game.

Have added some of my wedding ideas to my sig. No dress yet though.

Have been doing my OOS scroll today and also a wishing well/gift registry note to go in the invites (giving guests 2 options).

very worn out at the moment harvest has started so getting to bed pretty late working two jobs, plus still cooking dinner and trying to keep the house in order (still looks like a bomb hit it) would love to have a cleaner about now, but oh well.

Well back to work, i'll hopefully put a photo of our new car up here tomorrow or Friday depends when i pick it up.

Cheers Girls
Tamara
Laurette
Chloe... I am sure that you are not saying his boy bits are more important than his head! (are you?)

ROFL!
ebbi
Heellllo everybody!!

I really should check in more often i think - you blink and miss out on soo much!!

Who is getting excitied now?

I found that i also had trouble with flower choice for march nothing seems to be in season!!
so we went for artifical flowers, they are really nice and you cant even tell they are fake!

when are you march 25th girls sending out your invites?
and how long are you having for rsvp?

is anyone else having just a fingerfood/canapes reception?
what time is good to start?

so many questions............

Hope all is well with everybody!!

ROFL!

No No... ahem.. Of Course not.

Cos then I'd have shown you a picture of his bum - which may or may not (and I'm just speculating here) be more important than his head (pleading the fifth!)

I merely wanted to showcase his... Heart of course!
Laurette
ROFL! I am picturing me as a smiley with sunglasses rolling on the floor in hysterics holding my stomach...

*reaches for the ventolin inhaler*

Hi Ebony! You are right - you should come here more often! We are having canapes at our reception, the reception starts at 5.00pm and the bridal party aim to get there about 6.00pm/6.30pm with entree to be served at 7.00pm. That's my plan, whether or not it happens is entirely a different matter. We are having main meals though (sit down as opposed to a cocktail reception).

I am getting way too excited. I keep floating off into space at my desk, thinking of myself in my dress on my wedding day.

Just wish that I could see what my hair looks like, because I have no idea what I want. Might have to steal Chloe's idea.

MelanieLouise79 made my veil for me, and she is posting it for me today. I like! I will have to add the pics that she took for me to my yahoo album so that all you sexy ladies can have a look.

Cool bananas.

Michelle is going to be sad that she missed all this excessive posting.

Now, where's Kathy when you need her.

*blows raspberries at everyone and leaves the room very ungracefully*

kiss kiss

(PS - Michelle, I got my package today in the mail (ie the one in the plain packaging he he he))
beckabunny
WOW!!!

I go to work and there's suddenly an explosion of posts!!!

So many updates!!! it's really good to see!

I'm not excited yet. I don't know why, but i haven't been that excited even from day one!!

I reckon i'll get excited around the 2 month mark, when things are a lot more finalised and feeling more real.

Then i probably won't be able to sleep for 2 months!!

H2B and i are trying to decide on weather to go on our honeymoon straight away or delay it until the start of April (March is apparently the rainiest month and is still cyclone season).

Our honeymoon isn't half as lavish as the ones mentioned here thus far....we're just going to Fiji for 7 nights, staying on one of the remote islands.

11 days 'til the invites get sent!!!

Oh! and my flowers might be ready as soon as NEXT WEEK!!!! biggrin.gif

That's all for now....

Beck
rochelle_matt
Sounds like you guys been flat out! The only thing I done so far this week is got Matt's brother his suit. We going to see the photographer tomorrow morning. I'm sick of this. I wish I had money so I don't have to pay when we can afford mad.gif .
Laurette
Oh, Rochelle - I hear you. I love money. In fact, I wish hat I could marry money laugh.gif

Probably wont be on too much today, goota work you know (same as every other day) but I am going to try to make a concious effort to actually do work.

Michelle, dont envy your cleanup this weekend. We are having people come next Wednesday, and i am away all this weekend, so Glenn had better do something good.

If you wanna get me while at work girls, the email is laurette.chapman@bfb.com.au I would love to hear from someone... mmke my day go faster!

Have a lovely day!
---
Dont worry your not alone on the money thing Rochelle. Tis been a very bad month, actually make that months. We finally get ahead, then BAM (literally) the car crash sets us back majorly again.
Laurette
You know what girls... I got paid on Tuesday (we get paid MONTHLY) and I paid all our bills and repayments and rent online, and I suddenly had.... $2 left in my bank account. I had to go home and tell Glenn how I had paid all his bills, so he had to give me money.
ebbi
Its constantly the feeling of you just get ahead and somthing happens - Like getting married!!! heehee

Are you all finding that you are thinking 'gee its getting close' but then you ring somwhere or do somthing for the wedding and they are still saying its ages away!!!
I just dont know whats going on
(pulls a very confused face and shakes head)

Dancing Girl
Wow, it's been activity central in here the last couple of days! I've just had lots of giggles reading the last two pages laugh.gif

CHLOE....YOU'RE BACK!!! biggrin.gif We wondered where you had gone huh.gif It sounds like you've been a very busy girl! Firstly, I absolutely LOVE your hair. It is just stunning. Secondly, your priest sounds like an absolute cracker laugh.gif I don't know what I'd say if our priest came out with that. I told Jase and he quite likes the idea of me signing a similar agreement laugh.gif Thirdly, "headless Nick" looks very handsome in his suit! biggrin.gif Your new colour scheme sounds gorgeous.

Laurette did you speak to your florist about tulips in March? Have you decided on which bouquet you are going to go with?

Michelle, how is the cleaning going? You must be so relieved to nearly be leaving that horrible place called work dry.gif

Ebony, I'm on 25 March and we are planning on sending out our invites @mid January - so about 9 weeks before the date and then have RSVP either 3 or 4 weeks before the 25th - haven't decided yet. I think we need final numbers to reception place 2 weeks before, so I want 1 or 2 weeks to chase up those lazy non-responders that we'll inevitably get wink.gif

Beck, you will love Fiji. I have been a couple of time before and it is gorgeous. I went to a couple of islands last year (on a cruise) in the beginning of April and the weather was perfect. Apparently 2 weeks before they had had a cyclone go through there, so maybe delaying it until April isn't a bad idea. Although, having said that, you can't pick these things, it may be perfect in March next year. Just go with whatever will suit you best. I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time regardless. biggrin.gif

Nik, I your new puppy is soooo cute and he does look like Sonic the Hedgehog!

No new knews for me. We went to another cake place last night. She was a lot cheaper than the other 2 suppliers, but I don't think her work was as good. Now we just have to decide and book . Michelle, thanks for asking about my job. The investigation thing is finally nearly over. We have been given formal "warnings" for not following policy, but it looks like our jobs are safe. Such a horrible time, I'm glad it's nearly over.

I'm off to continue my invitation folding. Such a fun job....NOT! laugh.gif Hope everyone is having a good week.

Where has Kathy gone? Haven't seen her in here for a little while.

Jo.
rochelle_matt
Yeah we got the photographer now we put the deposit down and she's booked. One thing cross off my list.

Tomorrow I got to start cleaning this house I'm having a girlfriend and her daughter staying the night here. It be a proper clean up for once in a blue moon. I got to also do the ironing as well. I might do it before gets to hot here tomorrow. Thats about it here for tomorrow. Nothing exciting.

Whats everyone doing tomorrow?
Laurette
I am sooooo looking forward to the weekend. I am over this week for sure! I am going to meet all the Canberra girls this weekend! So excited! Hopefully our lovely wedding twin Shazz will be there too!
---
Hi girlies. 4 months today for me ohmy.gif

The cleaning is, well isnt going well. I will do it this weekend I promise (I have to, house inspection is 9am on monday)

Hmm just had someone come in and tell me I am stupid because I dont have a doctor here at the moment. Geez mate once again not my fault - but the lovely receptionist cops it AGAIN. 9 working days AND COUNTING mad.gif mad.gif

This weekend we must do invites. We are slowly getting the list of guests and their addresses together. I said to Neil this morning Im getting a bit over it all. He agreed. I think now he wishes he took me up on my offer of eloping...

cool.gif
Saffire
HAPPY 4 MONTHS TO GO MARCH 18TH TWINNIES!!!!

Scary considering the silly season is around the corner and everything shuts down over that time...

Michelle - good luck with your cleaning. We'll both be doing invites this weekend! Actually, we've had the save the dates for about 3 months now and haven't gotten organised to send then off. I fear they'll be going out with the invitations if we don't hurry along!

Laurette - oooh you're going to a Canberra meet? What fun! Both Alex and I get paid monthly - on the 15th (same as you) and we're both poor already since Tuesday. Bills Bills Bills. Feels like we're walking on a treadmill....

Jo - Cake shopping huh? How much are your cake quotes? Invitation folding sounds like fun whilst watching a nice chick flick...

Beck - Fiji sounds lovely!!! Alex was born in Fiji and has family there so we really didnt want to go there for our just-the-two-of-us-no-family-around honeymoon... smile.gif

I forgot to tell you, Alex and I have decided on our wedding dance (actually this is about the 5th time we've decided as we keep changing our minds). We're going to do Bolero to George - Breathe in Now. It's a mushy song but we both love George and Bolero is a stunning dance so we've got the next 4 months to learn how to do it with a semblence of grace smile.gif

Over and out!!!

Chloe Xoxoxoxo
Laurette
Michelle, I cant wait until you are out of this job. It's not good for you, I can tell. Although I am not looking forward to you being away from your computer - I hope that you will still find a way to say hello every now and then.

Saffire
OI! Those of you who are cleaning this weekend, pop on by to our place will you?!

We could do with a bit of a vacuum and dusting wink.gif tongue.gif
Laurette
Happy -4 Months to the March 18th twinnies.

That means that I must be down to three months and three weeks... argh.
tamarajnixon
Morning Girls,

Thank god it Friday, but a busy weekend ahead. Did my stint on the Header last night whilst the were harvesting the canola, as i won't get a chance for the rest of harvest.

Have chosen the cake that i want, just have to speak to my cake lady. Have 3 layered cake with red rose in between the layers. Probably have a small fruit cake on the top, a choclate mud cake, but not sure on the third.

Have done a card to put the invites but not sure what do you think? still have to get jimmy to look at it.

Our family and friends, we wish not to offend
your company at our wedding is what we intend
however the question of a gift comes to mind
A monetary donation would be so kind.
If however it is a gift you desire
Please feel free to contact Myer

What do you think? Any suggestions? Our gift registry is small so giving people the option.

How do you put a picture in this part not our sig? Going to add a photo of our new car. Very Spoilt!

Heading to Albury tomorrow to get some Chrissy Shopping done, there goes more money.

I understand what you mean Laurette my pay vanishes every month (get paid monthly too) the extra money over harvest will be great might be able to actually spoil myself with a facial or something.

I think we should all be spoiling ourselves now that we are getting so close to our weddings, having facials, massages etc.

Have decided on my perfume for the wedding Pleasures Intense - getting jimmy to buy me the gift set of it for christmas, have always loved pleasures but thought i'd go something different, getting jimmy Pleasures for Men so we will complement each other.

Anyway better go get these photos of the car to upload.

Cheers
Tamara
Laurette
Tamara, to upload a photo into a post, you need to use a program such as photobucket.com, which will give you a link to your photo. You then put that link in your post, making sure that it has image (IMG) tags on it. If you have any trouble, email me the pic and I will give you a hand.

We got our first load of canola yesterday, which makes sense, as you would be a few days earlier than us!
Shazz 4/3
Laurette - Looking forward to meeting you tomorrow - very excited!

I have had enough of work H2B has had this week off down the coast without me (very jealous). Roll on Christmas and the 4 weeks off for the wedding Woo Hoo biggrin.gif

Well I had better get back to it dry.gif

Have a great weekend everyone!

Thanks for the kind words about my puppy ladies, i think his just the cutest! tongue.gif

Just wondering ladies, have any of u beauties been to UK/Europe? This is where we're going on our honeymoon ( biggrin.gif ) , and we're thinking of just booking the first couple of nights accomodation, then going along booking it while we're there, as we hit it.. So we're not locked in to different times of when we have to be at our next destination etc..

Would love to hear any advice etc? Or anyone know of any cheap, but nice hotels going from London right down to Paris? We are starting there and working our way down to the bottom.... biggrin.gif

Chloe- good to see you back too! Your hair is just beautiful. I love that George song too, so I approve! Wow that is so cheap for suits.

Tamara- nice wheels! We just got a new car and its very nice to drive around in it compared to our other car. Its so big though I need to adjust the seat to make it higher so I can see over the bonnet lol.

Ok update from me - we have a clean house. Washing is almost done (4 loads of washing blink.gif ) Today we dropepd by the invitation place and dropped off our invitation list to them. We got the suits organised today. We went more formal than we were planning. The picture I previously posted looks nice, but we decided that no doubt they will want to rip the jacket off ASAP after the ceremony (being in a tropical environment) and that they needed a vest underneath and tie to distiguish them from the other guests. The lady at the shop said to Neil that he doesnt want to just look like a guest at our wedding, that he should look nice as it is a special day. I was impressed with the woman! Anyway so its a jacket, vest , and very light pink tie and hankerchief thingy. I didnt get a chance to take a pic, but the boys looks quite smart all dressed up

Ther only thing with the suits is that we hired them in Melb, which means someone from Melb will have to bring Neils suit up a few days before the wedding. Thats the way we had to organise it, with us living in different location to where we getting married...I just hope they DONT forget to bring the suits.

An update on my brother for those who know the story - I spoke to him last night he is sounding much happier, the ex has reduced the child support payments and they have agreed that they should just each pay for them the week that they have the kids, and then go halfs in big expenses such as schooling/medical etc.

I really hope for his sake that she will stick to her word this time. He has opened up a new buisness in Brissie, opens on monday. He has spent so much time setting it up, I just pray that he getts the buisness to make it sucessful. He has done this so that he can run it 9 - 5 which is better for his case of keeping the kids. He also just bought a new samoid (sp?) a fluffy white dog, so it makes me happy that he will have some company during the weeks that he doesnt have his kids.

We leave in 3.5 weeks and have so much to do, its a bit overwhelming I think we are running out of time..
