Not much happening in the wedding planning part either!
I have nothing to report either. We went to an engagement party yesterday and the couple had an "engagement dance" they did the tango or something to their song. Neil and I looked at each other and though crap our unco shuffle is going to look terrible compared to that! We never did get around to doing dance classes in Melb, perhaps in Darwin we should learn how to dance.
19 working days until I quit my stupid job!!!

I started making my OOs on the weekend.
I got 6 made!!
I won't post any pictures yet, as i'm yet to decide whether i'm going to put glitter on the butterflies on the front page, but i thought i should report on where i was up to.
I also bought some sea shells yesterday, these are going to be scattered around the base of the cake.
Had a huge fight with my chief bridesmaid on Friday night

she was being a complete b*tch, and she's usually the type of person to keep her head on straight. I haven't got to the bottom of it all yet, but i highly suspect it was all due to the amount of stress she's under at the moment (she's working 40hrs a week, driving 1/2 an hr each way everyday and aparently they have to move house by xmas) which doesn't really excuse her actions, but at least now i've got a clue as to why she was behaving so out of character.
*sigh*
Beck
HI Beck hope you can work it out with your MOH, it sounds terrible

Id love to see some pics you sound so organised! We're not doing OOS books.
Thank Gawd Monday is over, I hate mondays

Come to think of it, I hate Tues, Wed Thurs and Fridays too. Knock off time on a Friday is my favority time of week.
Laurette how are your holidays going? kathy have you caught up with amanda yet? Update please!!

Looks like things are only getting worse for me

Not only did i have a huge fight with my MOH a few nights ago, like i mentioned, but now my FMIL has decided to throw an almighty spanner in the works!!!!!
My mum rang her yesterday because she was supposed to provide us with some addresses we were missing from their side of the family for the invites. She informs my mother that she hasn't got them yet (invites are being posted in 19 days).
On top of that she apparently has suddenly decided that she wants to change who they are inviting!!!!!! AAAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!
They approved the guest list long ago, the invites are all made and ready to be posted and i don't really have much excess material (i could probably squeeze out one more but that's it!) we are already at maximum guests and i bought all the materials from this shop in Melbourne!!!
Apparently some members are giving her hell and not talking to her because they're not invited to the wedding (why she has told them this is beyond me, given the invites haven't been given out yet!!!

) and now she wants to invite them to keep them happy!! I mean, i haven't even met these people and my H2B says he only ever sees them at funerals.
I am so ready to scream righ now........
Beck
(sorry about the long post)

Ah, Michelle - this week is going too fast, but I will let it just for you so that you can get to the end of the week.
Holidays going good - did nothing yesterday, as it was muggy and horrible and we had a FANTASTIC thunderstorm last night. I wanted to take some pics for you all, but I was too scared to go outside

I have spent the morning ironing, so that was thrilling, but at least it's all done now.
rochelle_matt
Nov 8 2005, 06:24 PM
Argh Michelle, I hope things are sorted out for you soon.
LOL joys of ironing I haven't done any for 3 weeks lol. I tend to let it pile up and then do it.
I spent most of my morning in church and I got to go back again to see the Pastor. Nothing exciting here still lol.
Im so lucky I have clothes that dont need ironing. I mainly iron jeans and my work clothes that thats it! Neil does all of his uniforms too - I couldnt be bothered ironing them they need to be done so perfectly - but I do iron his jeans and other pants , otherwise he would be quite happy to wear them out all crinkled
rochelle_matt
Nov 9 2005, 10:24 AM
LOL lucky you I wish I could wear clothes like that! I like wearing clothes crinkle free! Today we going to see the Pastor today this is our first appointment don't know what to expect.
Rochelle good luck today seeing the Pastor!
Mum just messaged me and said she has booked my hair and make up and booked a trial for 20th Dec. argh I am getting so nervous already its all happening too quickly!

Hi March Twinnies!
Laurette, I'm so jealous of you being on hols! I desperately want some time off, but I need to save all I have for our Honeymoon, so no hol's for me until March

Sorry to hear you got a BFN

I guess that means you'll have to try extra hard this month

I'll pretzel for you.
Michelle, Friday arvo is my fave time too

That's great news about your hair and make-up trial. Very exciting! Make sure you post us some pics when you have your trial.
Rochelle, glad you like your Pastor. We haven't been to our Church for over a month because of the diving course we are doing and so still haven't organised to meet with him, sign forms, choose vows etc. Guess we better get off our butts and do this!
Beck, I can't believe you're ready to post invites and have started on your OOS booklets!! You are so organised. I'm starting to freak out slightly that I've still got so much to do!! Hope you work out your guest/invitation problems out soon.
I've got my first dress fitting next Tuesday and we are going to the travel agent tonight, so I'm very excited about those two things

Fingers crossed that by tomorrow, we will have a honeymoon booked!!

Hi There Marchies,
Laurette - Practice makes perfect! Good luck
Beck - Hang in there FMIL can be a pain in the neck sometimes but we all have to bite our tongue sometime or another.
Anyway, i finally finished organising my FMIL's hen's night & kitchen tea it's on this weekend. Would love to know how i've ended up organising it when i'm not even the bridemaids! But oh well she's like a sister to me. (FMIL & brother are getting married on NYE)
So excited bout the dress fitting on sunday promise i'll have photos for you early next week probably Tuesday!
Ordered my bomboniere yesterday. Found these great red heart lollipops for 10cents each. So giving each guest 3 each tied with ribbon and a place/thank you tag. All up it will cost me $66 How cheap!
Do champayne tastings on Monday with Mum, will probably end up having yellow!
By the way how do you add the photo link to your sig?
Cheers

Nov 11 2005, 10:24 AM
Thnaks Jo - I had been thinking about it being 4 months today all week, and now today I have actually forgotten until I read your post! and it's rememberance day today too (Glenn's dad is a Vietnam veteran so today and days like Anzac day etc are big for the family).
I need to have a bitch - Glenn was down getting a haircut this morning (looks v spunky) and his mate Luke rang and said 'wonderiig if Glenn would like to have a hit (golf) this morning, just 9 holes' I said that I didnt think that it would be a problem, and that he would ring him when he got back.
Glenn is always at me to do more exercise and stuff, and so I thought that I would go with them and have a walk around, not necessarily with them, so they could still talk golf and bullshit etc... Glenn said ' we'll be going fast, you wont be able to keep up' yadda yadda... but I dont have to stop to hit the ball! he said 'you ar emost welcome, I am just warning you that it will be fast and there will be lots of flies out there'
So, we get out to the course and Luke wasnt there yet, (Glenn did ring him) and then he turned up, and they decided that they wanted to go round in Kieran's cart (another of our friends) and play 18 holes. So they are doing that and I got sent home because now they arent walking the course.
Like, I cant win - he's goes angry at me because I wont exercise, and then when I want to he wont walk with me because I am too slow, so I find an option that suits everyone and nooo... cant do that either.
F*** me - really! We are on holidays together for ONE week. So far I have spent Wednesday with him and that's it.
Monday and Tuesday he was away on a golf trip in Orange. Wednesday we went to Wagga and ordered his wedding band and watched a movie. Yesterday he played golf in the morning, bowles in the afternoon/night and I had to go and pick him up at like 11pm. Then tomorrow and Sunday he's at a golf tournament in Young, home at night though.
Then it's Monday again and we're back at work.
Pfft.
OK,
Tamara so put a link to phots in your sig, go to your controls and then to edit signature, where you would have created the one that you have now. Get the URL of your page of photos, and make sure that you have made them public (when you are in yahoo, go to 'share folder'). In the edit sig section, click on the HTML part, and add the link to the photo site. hit enter, and then it will let you put in a name for the link, like My photos or something, or you can copy the link in there again, and that will be what we see in the signature when you post.
See, clear as mud! Email me if you have any more probs

Well, girls - fantastic news. Guest list has been finalised and all stationery ordered! Argh... one thing off my list.
Our final number turned out at..... 157. Mum had a heart attack, but my stepdad was cool about it and he's the one with the $$ so she was alright after that! They also gave me a nice fat cheque... to pay for a heap of stuff the has gone on our credit card...
rochelle_matt
Nov 11 2005, 09:54 PM
Laurette- thats alot of people no wonder your mum had a heart attack so would mine lol.
Not long for you guys that on the 4 month mark. I still on the 5 weeks mark still and seem to drag along.
---
Nov 12 2005, 09:56 AM
hey Laurette do you want to organise my guest list for me too? We just cant be bothered

All of our stationary has been ordered and paid for, they just require us to aprove the proof and supply guest list and addresses - we really need to get our fingers out and sit down and do it.
I have lost motivation again, its all too much with the move in a month.
Im also getting pissed off with my wedding co-ordinator, I emailed her a month ago and still no reply, so re-emailed a few days ago, and yep, no reply. Neil will call her soon stupid woman
Laurette
Nov 12 2005, 12:17 PM
You have a wedding co-ordinator? Well, you should be the most organised of all of us.
So, here's my latest thing... thinking of changing from red roses to mixed pinks... like hot pink, pale and that white/pink tipped colour... I just dont know. It's all too hard.
Also, when I was ordering the invitations, I noticed that they had added black invitation cards to their list... previously we were having white with black ribbon... so I asked Glenn to pick ( I had a paper sample of the black and white colours) and he has chosen to have black invitations with white ribbon.
At least they will be different.
I am sure that they will be beautiful... Striking at least!
rochelle_matt
Nov 12 2005, 04:04 PM
Laurette you lucky thing having a wedding co-ordinatter lucky you! I would love one but can't afford it

.
We went to the markets and brought a red ribbon to go with the menus today. All we got to is the menus up now.
---
Nov 12 2005, 08:48 PM
Well she is a wedding co-ordinator but honestly we've done most of it ourselves. She takes forever to reply, and has more of an advisory role rather than a wedding co-ordination role. Although saying that she is organising bus transfers for my guests. That is all she is doing.
It is good to have someone up there to help me out as Im at the other end of the country to where Im getting married, but she hasnt been that helpful..
laurette your invites will look fantastic. Will you print on the black card or have a white insert to print on?
Laurette
Nov 12 2005, 10:44 PM
Hi Michelle
If you're like me, I wouldnt be able to hand the reins over to someone else, I am too picky about the organisation - I have to do it myself.
I am going to be having the black DL ribbon card, like you but in black, and then white paper with silver rose vellum over the top. I need the white, to show up the rose pattern, as it doesnt show up much on the black. Just looks a bit dirty.
Then also we will have the matching black card for the covers of our OOS, which will be good, as I didnt want to have them all white.
There will then be white metallic paper for the map, hotel details, wishing well verse and the rsvp card. The envelopes will also be white, as I didnt want to get black ones only to stick a white sticker on them. I could have written in silver, but I wanted to print them on labels. I am using clear labels.
---
Nov 13 2005, 09:47 AM
Laurette your invites sound beautiful. Is the black card metallic?
We went looking at suit styles yesterday. Pretty scary it gave me something else to freak out over. I saw Neil walk out of the changing room in the suit and I thought oh shit we only have 4 months to go and he will be wearing a suit for his wedding day.
We have decided to go with suits, but no ties I dont think, with a collared shirt underneath with the collars out.. If that makes sense.
We have only got 4 weeks left in Melbourne and Im starting to get very stressed out over the move.
---
Nov 13 2005, 09:57 AM

Ok kinda like this - BUT a black suit not white. Also the shirt underneath will be different, it will be colours of the bridal party - neil will probably have ivory to match me, the boys might be in pale pink, not too sure? - even though I know they will HATE that but too bad IM the bride I get to say what they wear hahaha
Oh and the suit buttons will be done up.
beckabunny
Nov 13 2005, 11:01 AM
oh! nice suit Michelle,
I just realised i hadn't posted a pic of the suits that my guys are wearing.

It's a 3 button dinner suit. All the guys are wearing white microfibre shitrs, no vests, and my H2B will be wearing a white satin tie, but the rest of the bridal party will wearing a silver satin tie.
It was very hard to find a suit that looked good on my H2B, he has the body of a rugby player, the suit actually looks crap on the model.
Beck
---
Nov 13 2005, 11:15 AM
Nice suit Beck. He will look very spunky Im sure. I would love suits like that, but dont know how long the boys would survive on the beach without passing out from heat exhaustion lol.
Laurette
Nov 13 2005, 02:05 PM
hah ah ah.
Michelle, yes the invite card is black metallic. Once I have it, I will post a photo of all the materials... Yikes!
Girls, we are getting so so so so so close.....
Well, Glenn originally decided that he wasnt going to wear a tie.... bad luck sunshine I said.
They will be wearing black three or four-button suits and Glenn will have a white vest and tie, and the boys black vests and black and silver ties. they just dont know it yet.
Glenn's best man, Cameron will be down from brisbane next week, and all the boys are getting measured for their suits while he is here, so that's when they will find out.
The rest of us are wearing ultra-formal gowns, and the invites say 'formal' so it would look a bit strange if the bridal party didnt have ties on

I have had a very productive day today... I have ben doing all sorts of stuff. it's a good feeling, I only have one basket of ironing to go really!

Girls, this thread needs to be stepped up! We are getting lazy at posting in here! I love seeing new replies here

Not looking forward to you being incommunicado Michelle.
Now, my dilemma for the day is flowers.
I think that I have gone off roed roses, and am on pink.
I want to know, should I have;
No 1 - Red roses bouquet with same but smaller for girls
No 2 -
This hot pink tulip and rose bouquet with dark green foliage with the same for the girls but in round shape or;
No 3 -
This mixed pink roses bouquet, with the same but smaller for the girls
At the moment I am leaning to the teardrop....

Tomorrow we going suit try on with Matt's brother.

Beck, it depends what you have your settings at, how many pages we are up to. I have my 'Board Settings' (in
My Controls) set to show 40 posts on each page, which brings it up to 42 pages we are on now.
It would be better if the 25th March girls would join in this thread, I reckon. Then we could all be together!
I am getting married on 11 March, at St Paul's Anglican Church, Temora at 3pm

with reception to follow from 5pm.

Afternoon Marchies,
I'm so sorry but no photos of the dress! Couldn't borrow the digital camera from work. But my dress is still fantastic. Put on all my jewellery with it and i really felt like a true princess. Having the alterations made in January in case i lose more weight.
No other news to tell. But there is only 17 weeks left for all those 11th March brides.
Cheers
