Tell me Michelle, are they square or round? I looked on the IKEA website, and could only find round ones.

Hi Girls,
Well im back from Stradbroke it was ok if you like a holiday where you cant spend any money as there are no shops except for general store, post office and pub.
The pub was good and all in all its a great place to go if you just want to relax on the beach.
You all have been pretty busy while ive been away.
Congrats Beck on cars, hair and makeup.
While I was away Amanda received the glasses i ordered from K@rdella FINALLY well im not very impressed first of all i ordered champagne flutes they sent us tall wine glasses

Then they stuffed up the engraving it was supposed to say
Amanda and Patrick
18 march 2006
Holly
But they have done it the other way around.
Amanda is happy with them and so is Paddy but it isnt what i ordered and asked them to repeat it back to me when i ordered them. Also i ordered personalised ribbon and that didnt show up they didnt offer any explanation in package as to where the ribbon is but they did take the money from credit card it wasnt until Amanda got on the phone to them that they explained that the machine used to make P-Ribbon was broken down and it will be a few months b4 it is fixed so be warned if using this company dont just go on a phone call to order send them emails and faxes.
Other than that Amanda has sent me a sample of two invitation designs she has picked they are both the same just different shades of pink will post tomorrow after i take photos.

I went looking for flower girl dresses today.
Found two really nice dresses, which are believe it or not, the EXACT same shade of lilac as my bridesmaid dresses!!!!
I was just going to put my flowergirl in white for simplicity and coz i believed that i would never find that exact shade of purple in a flower girl dress, but there they were, two different styles and both were under $150!!!!!
Can't send photos until i've bought it. Got to get the girl to try them on. Probably won't buy it until around christmas time, that way, she won't grow too much before the wedding.
I just can't believe my luck!!

My good news is that the jeweller phoened to say that my w ring has been completed, I pick it up tomorrow night, which should be good. I hope that I like it. I also get my e ring back, which has been re sized and re plated for me, so it will be beautiful and shiny. I will then just get it plated again the month of the wedding. Noice.

I see you have a new ticker Laurette! Are you trying straight away? Whoohoo how exciting!!
We have had mum here this week, but last night we just couldn't hold out any longer (talking about in the bedroom) and even though we tried to be quiet I reckon she still heard us. She has super sonic hearing when it comes to that ( I know, she heard us many times when I lived with her

) Im a little embarressed to go out to the lounge room and see her this morning hehe.
Ok I think I just shared to much info with you gals

Ok girls, brace yourselves!!
Here comes a plethora of pictures.
First i'll start with my bridesmaid outfits.
I have one picture, but they are both the same.
It came out a little washed out in the photo, so imagine it just a smidge darker.
If you look really close you can see a small mark on the skirt. It needs a dry clean, not impressed

More to come in just a moment...........(i think i'm still limited to one pic per post

That's it for now.
I've got photos of where we are planning to go to get our professional pics done, but i think i'll leave those off for today. I think i've already swamped you girls with enough photos for today.

HeadpieceInvite closedInvite openRingsMy ringsShoesShoes againWe decided to go with a more traditional looking invite. All up we paid less that $250 and that if for them to make them and do the printing as well (for 50 invites) so we are pretty happy with that. The invite in the pic is just a quick one I made up to show neil, so please excuse the crappiness of it hehe
I love the shoes, cheap as - $70 and they are not white = I get to wear them again!
I love the headpiece, I wasnt going to have one but I thought stuff it you only get married once (or twice!) so why not.

kathy, what fantastic news - I had a little tear of happiness, have been thinking about you regularly! Bummer on the porn star boobs though. Maybe for your next birthday, you could get them done as a present though???
Michelle, love it all! Your wedding ring is similar to mine, same basic idea. I will post pics I hope this afternoon of mine - should all go to plan. I picked them up last night. We just have to pick Glenn's now. We did have one picked out for him, but I dont really like it and he's gone off it. He loves mine though, so I am glad that I got the permission to spend the extra $$ on it - it was very exxy for handmade, but hey, I have to wear it forever, right!
Also, our invites are the same! The only thing is that I am having black ribbon for mine, with white card and silver rose paper on the inside... Noice. Your ribbon is brown yes? I also love the headpiece! Looks really good mate!

OMG Michelle!!
Your wedding rings are almost the same as the ones we bought!
The only difference is, with my wedding band, there's a few more little diamonds either side, so you can't see the gold band on the side when i've got it on straight!!
My H2B's ring is identical to the one you've got in the pic!! What a coincidence!!

Hi Girls,
Kathy, great news about your boobs.

I'm so glad it turned out all clear. That must be a huge weight off your mind. Maybe you should get the Porn Star boobs just to celebrate

I love both of the sample invites - but then I LOVE pink! I think I may prefer the light pink one though?? It is just a bit subtler for a wedding. Either one would look great though.
Michelle, that sucks about the appeal. We could have met up for a coffee if you were posted to Sydney. Bl00dy army

Make sure you break down in tears when you see the Padre!! I love all your photo's. Thanks for posting

Neil's ring is kind of similar to what Jason is looking at to get. I love your shoes too. They're gorgeous! With your invites, do they supply the ribbon as well, or did you have to source it yourself? The colour looks great.
Laurette, I had to laugh at your last couple of posts and the "noice". Are you a Kath & Kym fan? It's a cracker! You mentioned you are having the silver rose paper on the inside of your invites - me too!! I think we are both lovers of roses.

And CONGRATULATIONS on officially being TTC.

If you fall straight away will you have any problems with your dress or is it adjustable? One of my friends was going to start TTC when her son turned 1 - 17 September - and yesterday she told me she is 3-4 weeks pregga's

Talk about quick!!
Beck, your make-up looks stunning! Glad you found someone you are so happy with.
Not much happening for me girls. My photographer rang this week and has got a new job - in Melbourne

This means he can't photograph our wedding.

We are meeting with the owner of the business next week as he will be taking his place. We really liked the other guys style - hence booking them, so hope we are not disappointed with the owner. He said they have very similar styles, so fingers crossed.
This weekend we are in the ocean for our dive course. Hopefully it won't be as cold as sitting in the pool for 5 hours like last weekend.
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

Hi girl,
Sorry i haven't been on this week, have been sick with Pharanjitis ( i think that's how it is spelt) so haven't move from the couch much. Feely very crappy.
Beck, your trials look fantastic. I'm worried about feeling like i've had my makeup spray painted on no used to wearin make-up.
Laurette,
congrats on TTC, but aren't you worried about your dress if you conceive straight away? Also How did the move go?
Hoping to get photos on here eventually but we had to send our camera away to get fixed, so annoyed it cost so much and we've sent it away twice in the 1.5 years we've had it.
Ordered Jimmy's (H2B) cufflinks on the weekend they are a rectangle shaped with both polished & dusted silver with a diamond in the corner, giving him these instead of a ring (he refuses to have one) i'll get them engraved the same as my ring.
Also went to the Griffith Garden Festival and found the most magnificent garden to have our photos in 5acres with a dam/pond with gazebo, lots of roses, grapevine etc, i just love it.
We went a met the priest too, signed all the paperwork eg marriage licence. it made it feel so real it's happening, i sat there with a big grin on my face.
Anyway hope the planning is going well, hope no one gets as sick as i've been.
Love you All

HI girls I hope your weekend is going well. Mum left today and I cried my eyes out at the airport. She cried too

I had such a great week with her here, we got so much done for the wedding. I had definately lost motivation but she was just what I needed to get me going again.
Well invites have been ordered and we have decided on wording and fonts - they print everything up for us. MIL had a bit say on the wording, as she knew what was "propper" to put on there, I think it sounds like crap but hey who am I to have a say, only the bride. Mum paid for the damn things so she should have had a bigger say than MIL.
Just to piss MIL off at lunch when we were discussing and writing the invite wording, I wrote Dress : Smart Casual, then in brackets underneath put (Dont come dressed like a dero) MIL thought I was serious she nearly had a heart attack I think, I meanwhile just laughed at her with mum (mum knows I can be a smart arse sometimes hehe)
We decided Dress: Cocktail sounds better.
We saw Lion King last night. All I can say is WOW, it was the best thing I have seen. It was amazing.

Oct 24 2005, 09:27 AM
Michelle, where has that gorgeous picture of you and H2B in your avatar gone? Put it back please!
GLad to hear that you had a good time with your mum, that's really really good. I imagine that it would have been very hard for you to have to see her go home. If you MIL has too much to say anymore, do what I have done and just stop telling her stuff - she'll soon get the picture.
The Lion King sounds great. I have always wanted to go to that, but for us it means travelling to Sydney or somewhere, and it's a bit of a pain in the bum.
Girls, you know what? I could be pregnant now, and not even know it. Exciting hey!
The BM Dresses have been ordered! Very excited about that - finally after all the trouble that we have been through with them, it's about time I reckon!
Hope we all had a good weekend - I didnt, was back cleaning the old house, which was thrilling - something that I really enjoyed. Not. I hand the keys back today and I cant wait. Cant wait - I can finally wash my hands of that crappy place and my smelly house mate.
Glenn is on three weeks holidays as of today - so jealous of him! I am having the last week of it off, just another two weeks to get through - should go pretty quick I hope.

Oct 24 2005, 09:51 AM
Laurette according to my computer i still have that avatar? What is it showing now?
Wow very exciting that you would be pregnant, you know what, you should use this to its full potential, tell Glenn that you need to take it easy and he has to take over housework from now on.
Have we seen pics of your BM dresses? what colour did you end up going with?

Hi girls,
I had a very domesticated weekend looking around at new washing machines.
Our one died months ago and we have been using the laundromat

We got one yesterday afternoon!!!!!!

It's very nice!!!
Didn't really do anything wedding related appart from try to get some prices
on the hotel we're interested in staying at for our honeymoon. Unfortunately,
since we're having a delayed honeymoon (March is still wet season in Fiji)
the prices for April or May aren't available yet.
The guy said they should be coming out in the next few weeks.
I got my silk rose petals for my flower girl and the throw bags on Friday.
This Friday is exactly one month 'til the invites get sent out!!!
Nothing else exciting that i can think of right now.........

Hi girls,
Wedding $$$$ update.
I have just payed the last of the money towards Amanda and Paddy's wedding
and its has blown out a bit more than we thought.Originally we set a budget of $15.000 split three ways of $5000 each (us,A&P and Paddy's parents) well so far we have put up $11.000 which we dont mind as we had the money there for the wedding what im wondering has anyone elses budget blown out without realising or is it just us.

Hi girlies. You have all been very busy!
Michelle, you can see a pic of my BM's dresses
here, they are going to be black though.
I am not going to test until about the 10th November, as that is when AF is due again. Unless of course she turns up and then there wont be any need!
Must remember to get some tests next time I am in Wagga (too risky to buy in Temora!)
Kathy, I have no idea about budgets at the moment. Not entirely sure - mum and I have just been paying for things as they come up, and Glenn's parents are paying the alcohol bill at the reception.

Hi Girls, hope everyone is well
Today is 5 month mark for me

Very exciting!!
Laurette, congrats on finally handing over the old keys. How are you enjoying your new place? It must be a breath of fresh air not having to share with an extra flatmate. I love your BM dresses. They will look gorgeous.

Good luck with your testing. Make sure you keep us informed. Don't some of the TTC girls buy the test kits on ebay for a cheap price (and privately as well!)? Maybe you could do that if you are worried about the Temora factor.
Michelle, sorry to hear your Mum has gone back

But I'm really glad you enjoyed your time with her. It would've been just the thing you needed after working the crappy job and getting the bad re-locate news.
Kathy, congrats on handing out your last bit of moula.

Yes, my budget has blown out. Little bit here, little bit there and before you know it, it all adds up to a fair bit!! I can't believe how much this wedding is costing and yet, I don't think we're having anything really extravagent. Sydney suppliers just seem to charge a bloody lot!!
Nothing more wedding stuff to report for me. We still haven't booked out honeymoon. Partly because we needed to wait for prices (same problem as you Beck - they hadn't come out yet) and partly because we were waiting to see how budget etc would pan out to work out if we could afford to do what we wanted. We have found a good travel agent now though and sat down on the weekend and worked out an itinerary. Jase emailed it to the agent today to confirm availability and prices and if it all works out, we may actually be able to book soon!!
speak to you soon girls. Hope you are all well.

I cant wait its going to be so magical! It jsut seems so serrile(sp?) im still wondering if its going to happen! Anyways i hope i have a twin out there! Is anyone in here getting flowers from sue in brisbane she seems the way to go! If so how much (if udont mind me asking) is it taking u to get it over to melbourne if u live inmelbourne that is? I want to get silk flowers from her but am worried about the cost to get it over here! As we need so much from her like 7 bouquets 8 corsages flowers for cakes loose petals for flower girl and red carpet (so to speak when i come down the aisel outside) and flowers for the hair too! Hi Kylie,
Yay! you made it here!!
One thing i forgot to mention to you about our wonderful Sue is that you basically give her a figure for your budget and she'll do everything she can to keep it under that.
She was able to come $50 under my budget (excluding postage to Melbourne) and she even threw in a couple of freebees.
Ask her to send you a wish list. Also, if you want a clearer idea of how much it's all going to be send her a rough guide of what you want and she can send you a rough quote.

HI girls hope your all well.
Kylie sorry I have taken to long to reply, I think I may have replied to your question in another thread I cant remember who now
Sue is very reasonable, she will stick to whatever budget you tell her. As for postage Im not too sure, as we will be driving up to Bris on the way to Darwin in December and will collect them then.
I cant believe we are attempting to drive from Melb to Darwin

I think we will be ready to kill each other by the end of the trip. Not looking forward to that at all, but the army does pay us very well to drive..
