I'm not a fan of Limo's either! They kind of remind me of a formal night!

I do really like the old vintage cars though. Last night we saw some beautiful Wraith Rolls Royce's which looked gorgeous and also a convertible Bentley which I loved. They are silver and black, so would look really nice with our colours. We'll check out a couple of other places and see what else is around. The other alternative is we get some sexy sport cars and go modern, but the problem with this is that because we have a few people (3BM's, 3GM's, us, and 2 kids), we would need a few cars because the modern cars are usually quite small. The Wraith RR fit @6 people in them and the convertible Bentley 4.

Kate, I hope the GT club contact you soon. It's a bit rude of them not to respond. As another thought, I saw a wedding car hire company on the net who have some GT's listed. They are based in Melbourne, so this doesn't help, but often these car people are huge enthusiasts and know a lot of people in the business. Maybe you could ring them and see if they know of or could recommend anyone near(ish) to you. If you want their details, PM me. You might have already tried this, but it's just a thought.

Ours was an absolute blast from woah to go... and ended with me drinking cheap champagne out of the bottle, in the rain at around 5am! Thats when everyone knew they had to decide whether to leave it there and be happy, or let things get really REALLY messy!!! lol!

Then the next morning, my parents put on breakfast for everyone that travelled and we opened all our (gorgeous!!) pressies!

One piece of advice... TAKE LOADS OF PICS... We ended up with about 10. Im so sad about that.

I am a little concerned about the weather next March, as we have has terribly differing weather this March here. There have been days that we 45 degrees, then back in February, I wore a jumper and a jacket to work for a week! We didnt have much rain though.

I think that March is a month that can go either way - it's just pot luck whether or not you get a nice day.

We are getting married at a local park, and then with our reception at the Temora Golf Club. If it is a wet day, we will also have the ceremony at the Golf Club, and will list this on our invitations as the wet weather alternative.

As far as music goes, these are the songs that I know I definetly want to use somewhere;

Im getting really p!ssed off with the service (or lack thereof) im getting from our reception place.

Ive spoken to the Co-ordinator a few times about dates and niggly details that helped us make the decision to book there, now it comes time to book, and hes never around. We leave messages, no return call... We have our hearts set on this place, but if this keeps up, Im looking elsewhere

AND... I havent heard back from the car club, although I might have another alternative... we'll see what happens.

My weekend was lovely! I went to a hens night on Satuday for a local friend and run into an ex that I havent seen for about 18 months, and I had forgotten how short he is! He is such a short ass! So, because I was HIGHLY 'intoxicated', that got me thinking about what sort of things his height impeded on (I am sure that you can use your imagination) adn resulted with me in a fit of giggles in the bar and everyone laughing at me because I was laughing, but no idea what I was on about.

Anyway, it was funny at the time, although probably a location thing.

Then yesterday I tried to rest, but just couldnt.... I had to go and find my car (which had been left somewhere the night before and I couldnt remember) early as it had Glenn's golf sticks in the boot, and then I got back home and couldnt sleep, so I had a shower, got back into bed (by this time it was about 9am) and had just dozed off and the phone rang. Then it never stopped all day - I had no idea that I knew so many people....

Kate, did you see X Factor last night? My favourite lady in it sang that Alicia Keys song just for you! I thought that she was good!

I think that you should pursue with your reception venue. Ring and leave a message if you cant talk to them, say 'I will be there at XXX for a meeting to discuss this and this and that and this.' It's a great place for a wedding reception so the effort will be worth it!

Definatly not a location thing cos I can just imagine it... Ewww... I have 2 pretty shocking ex's... not something I like thinking about much, but definately laughable !!!

YES!!! My sister rang me and told me to turn it over and look (I cant watch that show... its painful) She did a really good job! Matt actually said he likes it, which is the first step in getting hm to commit to having it somewhere on the day. (he says no to everything i suggest, but doesnt throw any other choices into the ring )

Yeah its hard, cos I cant be sure that hes getting the messages from the downstairs staff. I have to wait til Thursday again before hes back in... (and i know that it would take a lot for me to look elsewhere... )

We went to the footy on Sat night with friends of ours who have a 1yr old, and all day yesterday, Matt kept talking about babies and figuring out dates and names and all that, which was very cute... Its a good contraceptive tho, cos the closer it gets to TTC the more scared Im getting about it all (even tho its still ages away - its getting more real IYKWIM).

Yeah it's getting close for us too - we hope to start TTC on our honeymoon. We are even thinking about starting to get baby stuff, so that at the time it doesnt all happen at once. But what we should really do is be thinking about buying things for the wedding, so that the cost of THAT doesnt sneak up on us too fast! Got to get the timeline straight!

Dont even get me started on paying for the wedding!

I did a quick (ie probably missed stacks of things) budget today, and we have to save over $600 a month to even come close to being on target. We used to be able to save close to that a WEEK, but because of the weather lately, and a whole heap of little things, the savings are dwindling and we arent both getting the same high income week in and week out. (Matts work is weather dependant and I do contract work).

Ahh well... It'll all work itself out.

Actually... I could be a $19-millionaire - I havent checked my tix yet!!!

Things happening today:

H2B is calling our local club because after reading good reviews about receptions at clubs we have decided this may be the answer. We love the venue we have tentatively booked but it will be a beautiful day no matter where we have our reception and if we can save some money we will be happier!!

I am going to contact the photographer at the top of our list and arrange and appointment to go and see her - she is the cheapest quote we've received so far but I just love her style of photos so I think it's best we go and meet with her.
