Hi everyone
Well, havent we all been busy. I am writing this in between hanging out loads of washing... how fun.
Kathy - You are going to have so much fun looking through that song list. I had a bit of a look, and it boggled my mind. I just had all these lyrics running through my head and I was confused straight away! Thanks for posting the link Michelle! Kathy, when are we going to start seeing some ideas for MOB outfits? the time will sneak up on you!
Michelle - Excellent news about the job, that's great! I hope that daylight savings gets here REAL soon for you to minimise the time that you are leaving work in the dark. Do you have to work Saturdays at all? how many hours a week are you getting? Are the other ladies nice?
Chloe - I can see why you would be having a hard time deciding between the two pairs of shoes - I cant decide really and they're not even mine.... I love the Vera Wang ones, although from the tye of dress that you described, I am thinking that the open ones will suit that sort of dress more, IYKWIM? Only thing is, the detail on them wont clash with the brooch on your dress will it?
Fiona - Where have you been! We need an update from you!
Welcome to the new girls in the thread - sorry I have been slack! Cant wait to hear all about your plans!
Well, there has been a bit happening in my world!
I have been applying for a few new jobs, and the one that I REALLY want, I applied for yesterday, and I am dealing with the GM (the
GM!!!) directly, and they are not going to advertise if I am what they want, so that's a good thing. I spoke to him on the phone on Thursday night and then emailed all my stuff through yesterday. I got an email straight back, and he said that he will look over everything on the weekend and get back to me early in the week!
The other interview that I had, the 8 minute one, I have to apply for it directly also, and the ad should be in today's paper, I just havent managed to get to the newsagent yet.
Glenn is also looking for another job - there is nowhere locally that he can transfer to, so after 13 years with Woolworths he's looking to leave. Which is sad though. His boss is the main problem, he has two weeks with her, and then she goes on two weeks leave, then another week with her and then he goes on a month's long service leave, so hopefully he will be able to get through that easily, and then we will decide what we are going to do from there. I can just imagine what it will be like if we are both changing jobs at the same time... OMG - I am scared just thinking about it! then by the time he goes back to work it will almost be Christmas, so he will probably stay through that (cant afford to not be working) and then it will be the wedding... ah, who knows, he might be there another 12 months yet and by that time the boss might be retired or something. But if somethiig comes up, I think that he will take it.
Well, I also ordered another dress. Have been blueing with Glenn over it for long enough, I am over it. I ordered a 'replica' of a Maggie Sottero dress from an Ebay store, who also have a proper website.... They have excellent feedback, so that's good.
I also won an auction for a hoop, so that is good too. Now I just gotta get a veil and some shoes, and I'll be set right? (oh, and underwear, jewellery etc...) the shoes that I want from www.bridalshoes.com.au I can order online. It will be great if I can organise this whole wedding from my desk... he he he. I am so excited - the dress and the hoop together? $2000? No... $1000? No... $500? No... $400! Yes!
Anyway, I know that you all love pictures, so here they are;
Bodice DetailSide of dress - split detailBack of dress - train detailWhole back of dressLacing detailOh, and I also have a picture of the bridesmaid dresses that we are getting - although ours will be in black...
BM dress - although ours will be blackAt the supermarket the other night, I had the first comment that I have lost weight! I was so excited, and it's given me a little boost and some more confidence, and motivation to keep going. I was getting a bit upset that I didnt seem to be getting anywhere, but it seems I am!
Oh, also - how's this for clumsy. Last night when I left work, it was almost dark, and I was walking across the gravel carpark (I work for a transport and grain storage company, our whole site is a huge gravel pit basically - although flat) and I tripped over on one ankle, and that nkle is so so so sore, and then landed on the other knee... it was all skinned and bloody and I ripped my work pants (another $100 that I dont have!)
Argh, the phone just rang and now I am doing a survey that is going to go for 15 minutes... they're asking me about cold remedies...
Well, that's my story.... Thanks!
