I can't get on here as much as you guys and can barely keep up with everyone's news!

Good news - h2b has found the suit he wants. Just have to get the other groomsmen plus him together at the same time to book them now! Ive told him - would be good if they were booked by July. Every weekend seems so busy though and one gm lives an hour and a half away.

Ive actually dropped a little weight recently - been under extreme stress (damn inlaws!) & its amazing what it has done to my appetite. So Im trying to not put it back on and cant wait for my dress to come in now.

Finding it hard to get motivated to start making invitations and stuff but I guess I should start soon.

Have h2b 30th party next weekend and his bday the week after that and then mine so maybe once they are out the way i'll be more motivated.

Oooh, shiny... thanks for that Karry! Some of those dresses are absolutely lovely, and the thought that I could get some of them off the rack is really encouraging!

I'm starting to feel much better about this dress deal. *bounce bounce*

Now all I have to do is knock myself down to size 12! (My biggest issue is my tea-lady arms - as soon as I put on a little weight they wobble all over the place. I have weights and firming cream for them, too, but may need a wrap. We'll see how we go. The acquisition of one more pashmina is never a bad thing.)

Hey Kel, great news re suits. Can be hard to start those invites but try to make a start soon as everyone I've heard (me included) say it takes longer than you ever imagine it will. Hell knows, we don't need additional last minute stresses

we have made HUGE progress over the past week ... we ahve booked and paid the deposit for our honeymoon ... paid the church in full ... ordered our bonbonieres ... ordered and paid for our wedding bands in full ... and my dress was also ordered last saturday ...

still deciding / looking for the right invite ... have finally convinced h2b that we can make them ourselves ... Grants BM and his wife have offered to help us make them so we can get a production line happening ... as i would like to get our invites out early july as we have sooo many guests coming from interstate ...

weight loss is going extremely well

okay - I thought I had found the dress till I tried on some dresses today with my MOH. I have now really found THE one - mind you it's triple the price of the other one I had found. It's an Essence 2 piece - bodice encrusted with crystals and slim A line skirt with an organza overlay. Just stunning. Taking Mum tomorrow for the final decision.

Our invitations are all done and the first one was hand delivered on Friday (to a couple who are going overseas for 3 months). The other invitations are going to be posted out during the next week (still have about 5 that need addresses)

As for the no sex rule, we have been doing that since new years. Only because I have had my dress since 13 Feb 03 and I am fitting into it NO MATTER WHAT. Chad seems fine with it, it has actually made him more interested in the wedding as he wants it over and done I am actually going to try on my wedding gown now just to double check. Got worried now

I went to see suits on Friday night! We are soo excited!!

H2B picked the chocolate brown pinstripe 3 piece suits for the boys with a really faint pink shiry and pink tie!!

He chose for himself a Taupe pinstripe suit and is getting his made as he wants to keep it! He looks soooooooo HOT!!!

I also looked at flowers on the weekend but no one told me that you had to make an appointment to see florsits!! Since when!?!?!? Anyway, this week I will be making appoints to see some florists. I have decided on orchids for the wedding!

Thats about all I did this weekend.

My invites are 99% completed now, will post piccies soon. It's a good feeling to have them almost finished as I am a little over making them.

Re my dress - went back with Mum yesterday and we decided on the one I posted the picture for above - just with a different skirt - no where near as full. Absolutely love it!!! BTW, can't recommend Sw33the@rt$ at Blacktown enough - they were SO helpful & friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and they weren't phased in the slightest at the lateness of me buying my dress.

I feel like Ive actually achieved something this weekend but still not as much as you guys!!

Got my rose petals bagged up almost (just have to pick some more up from h2b's mum) - yaay, one job almost out the way - & found some perfect baskets by chance for only $6 each.

After h2bs 30th Party this weekend I really must get motivated & on to the menus, place cards, invites etc, etc!

I have my hair trial and make up trial aswell as 2 hours at the day spa booked for my birthday in a few weeks so I should hopefully be feeling gorgeous that night!

Glad your plans are all going well - only 5 months now (for Oct 22 girls!).

Nothing constructive was done on the weekend, as on Saturday night H2B and I held our Engagement Party #3 (Nos 1 and 2 being his extended family and mine, respectively.) This was the too-much-alcohol version with friends and very little in the way of family.

Everyone brought champagne. I mean *everyone*.

I got up at 3pm yesterday. *hangs head in shame*

Why thank you Jaheira & Kayels!!! I'm so glad I've helped you to stop panicking! I too was worried till last weekend.

$50 for paper!! What a bargain Kayels!! All my paper & stuff ended up costing me a small fotrune - I almost may as well have paid someone else to make them

3 Enagagement Parties - you lucky girl! We didn't have one at all - couldn't afford it - oh well.

Well, the 3 engagement parties were sort of circumstance. All H2B's folks are in Canberra, and so his parents paid for engagement party #1 - it was just a BBQ, but a *big* BBQ. None of our friends, who are almost all in Sydney, could come. Engagement party #2 was in Bathurst, just a very small BBQ for immediate family - again, no Canberra people or Sydney friends could come. So we knew we had to have a third one for them, and we finally got around to it on Saturday!

I swear I'll never drink again, though. Well, not champagne again, anyway...

Gosh girls it will be June soon and not long till October.

Firstly, welcome to all the new October brides... how exciting we're all just under or just over the 5 month mark!!! (lots of jumping up and down with excitement ).

Saph, we're sending out our invites late July and asking for a 2nd September rsvp because it will allow us to make adjustments and look at our minimum numbers as well.

Leisa, you lucky duck to be getting married in St Mary's Cathedral... it use to be a dream of mine but FH is not even baptised and we are not even religious (no offence to anyone). It's such a beautiful, beautiful building

We haven't done much... we are heading back to Oz in July so we'll be doing a few things like seeing the cake lady, chatting to the florist more, trying to finalise the BM's dresses (a bit of dilema)... mmm... I'm sure there are other things but just can't remember them at the moment.

Hello Girls...my update is: I am going down to Adelaide on Friday for MORE planning. I think it is now time to get off my butt and do some of the hard stuff!!! and mum wantsa some mother/daughter bonding time I think??? so when I get back on Wednesday I will hopefully have more things to tell...

We've bought the diamonds for mine, just need to take them to the jeweller so he can make my ring.

Honeymoon at Daydream is totally booked and confirmed, flights paid for.

Hens night booked in for 17 Sept
Bucks night booked in for 24 Sept

Ooo, and I've now lost 5kg, yay

I think that's it...... all big stuff now done, just need to find alcohol on consignment and we're fully done

BTW - I like the Brides choice of cake! I may be biased though as I am having the same orchids!

After posting that I just got soo depressed and called FH.

All I kept saying is I have just over 4 months and I want to lose 10kg........I AM FAT and I hate it!!!

He made me feel better by telling me that this weekend he is going to take me to the beach house and we are going to sit down and write up a menu and also what exercise we are going to do every day and he is going to follow it too!

I love my FH! He is sooo supportive!

Well the invitations are posted, and and know that a few people have them (they have made comments about the post man bringing this lovely silver envelope)

It just made me shiver with excitement, our invitations have been sent, people are actually invited to our wedding, oh my this is really happening, ahhhhhhhhhhh

ok have just popped 2 valium, so calm now. (lol)

my update -

Flowers for the table centres have been arranged, not what I wanted to start with, but my oh my this florist has some talent, she worked out what I wanted was not within the reception venue's budget (included in package) and it is sooooo hard to go over as the issue of who to pay money to is a nightmare she claims. Anyhow, she came up with this boquet in a jar idea. can't really explain it, but will 200% post pics afterwards.

Also I now have a really nice necklace to wear my mother's pendant on.

I know I said in my last post that I was going to try my dress on, but I chickened out. I have this feeling that I won't take it off . Last time I was only putting it on for about 5 mins to show my Nan as she is doing any alterations, and I couldn't bring myself to take it off for nearly an hour . I feel I have been so good, I have had this dress in my spare room since 13 Feb 2003, yes 2003. I have only put it on 3 times since then. 1st time was the night it came home, 2nd was about 6 months later, just to check I still loved it, and the 3rd was to show my Nan just before Xmas last year. I also feel Chad has been good as he knows it is there and has not even opened the closet door. Yahhh for Chad (btw it is his birthday right now 27/5, just waiting for him to come home from a 5pm till 1am shift)

Also.... and this is sooooo great. I was doing the shopping and this woman just came running towards me, she says that she has seen me in the shops a few times and she has always been busy, but she owns the hairdressers and she wants me to be a model for her 2 apprenteces (sp?) to do upstyles on. Yah I get to try a few styles without paying for them. So the first one is next Wed at 2pm. Chad will take some digital pics when he gets home (about 8pm) and I will post them so you can all give your opinions.

Bad news though... my tiara has tarnished, so I will have to purchase a new one. I can't get the same as I already have as it was an end of stock.

We are getting engraved "I love you 2 much"

bfly77, I'm the same... I have to lose weight! Lots of it! The fact that I don't want to buy a dress till I'm confident I will fit into it in October is my biggest stress factor (though Karry has helped alleviate that quite a bit!). I'd be happy with 10kg too. I just want to be a size 12 for the wedding...

Leonie, could a jeweller help clean up the tiara? I'm sure tarnish can be removed with a bit of polish. Is it silver, and are there stones in it?

Our latest update is that a friend of ours has offered to design the invitations for us. H2B has been delegated the task of helping him out. I must stop trying to control *everything*.

As for me....we met our celebrant last night (friend of Mum's) and she was great, a real character! She's going to email me some info today re the structure of the 'service' so we can play around with vows etc. So that's another thing to tick off the list.

well h2b's 30th went brilliantly on the weekend. everyone had a good time and it was a great night - he was stoked with it all. It was very late though - 5am to bed and Im going to be struggling today at work I think.

Now thats out the way I'll be able to get back into some wedding organising! Only 145 days to go now I can believe it.

I have my make up and hair trial booked for my bday in a couple weeks time so hopefully all goes well there. My original hair dresser cancelled cause she is going overseas but has found me a replacement and organised a free trial so hopefully she is as good.

I cant believe its just over 4 months away. I really have to start printing out invitations soon im finding it hard to finalise the guest list. Oh well hopfully i will be underway by the end of this week. I have a meeting with H2Bs cousin (sortof) to discuss the chair covers cloths and any thing else we need.(another thing H2B was meant to do but ive ended up doing it)

I have actual progress to report! We bought the wedding rings on Saturday *bounce, bounce*

It so happened to be the half-yearly sales at the jewellery shops, and we were lucky enough to both find floor stock we liked, so we could afford nicer rings and still keep to our budget. They don't match - they're actually from different shops! But they are both white gold. So we're very happy.

Also H2B has made contact with our friend who'll be designing the invites, so I guess this means my little holiday from the wedding is over, lol....

Not much happened this weekend but I FINALLY picked up my BM material.

It looks fantastic and it is the exact shade of Hot pink that I wanted.

If anyone is looking for silks, I can not recommend this place more! PM me if you want the details!!

Also, H2B and I sat down and wrote out a plan for me. What I am going to eat and what exercises to do every day! He is soooo good!

He is also going to hire a treadmill for me!!! He is going to pay for it as well! I cant wait!!

Anywho, hope you all had a great weekend! I can not believe how time is FINALLY flying!! Not long now!!!!!!!!!!!!

With the scales make sure you get a body mass scale. It gives you a better reading.
