Girls don't worry about hens cancellations, I also had heaps (mainly people I 'felt' like I had to invite) and it was still a lovely day, all my close friends were there.

Erica, glad your Mum has sorted your sister out, they seem to be the most 'challenging' sometimes!!

I slept terribly last night, having wedding nightmares again ~ the other week I dreamt I was running so late for the wedding I didn't have time for hair or make up. It was awful, I was so late they did the ceremony without me!
Its certainly not because I don't want to get married, I just don't feel organised enough.

Oh my lordie lord, only 11 days left to go. I am a mixture of excitement, nerves, stress & sheer giggly girliness at the moment I must keep this quick - it's MY LAST WEEK OF WORK! And I am madly trying to finish everything in time for Friday. I am still in total disbelief that we will be married so soon - it's just crept up - I wish someone could freeze time right now

I had my kitchen tea & hens night on Saturday, to coincide with my 24th birthday. The morning was a huge frazzle, I had to go and pick up my dress (one more try-on too, it looks amazing!), and then shop for the kitchen tea. My sis/chief BM calmed me down, she is just fabulous for someone so young (19!).

My kitchen tea was a theme of pink (of course) with requests for everyone to help me become a good housewife. We played some fantastic games, including one where everyone had to write out their least favourite chore, which we replaced with sex - ie instead of I hate cleaning the bathroom, it's such a messy job, it was I hate sex, it's such a messy job They also asked my H2B some questions which I had to match - for every question I got wrong, I had to put a piece of bubblegum in my mouth. I had a whole packet in there - he purposely fudged some of them My favourite response was when he was asked how many kids we wanted - he said 20, all boys I received lots of wonderful gifts and some very valuable advice on being a "good wife".

We then headed out later for my surprise hens night - it was amazing! I had to wear pink and white, and then found out that all the girls were dressed in black and pink, it looked great! There were around 26 of us, we had nibbles & drinks at a restaurant, and proceeded to a 'ladies club', which was surprisingly fantastic. It was a cabaret show, and I got pulled up on stage to find out I won the door prize - which was a rather naughty one We moved on to the casino and some more clubs, and rolled in the door at 9.30

The bucks was relatively tame, of course they all got a bit fired up, but what can you expect with 30 boys on a bus drinking beer? They sprayed his hair bright red, and he looked absolutely hilarious. I couldn't stop laughing at him the next day!

Oops, that was longer than expected. Jodi and Bridget, sorry to hear about your sister dramas. Tam, I can't believe you were broken in to! I am sending the good luck fairy around to your house now! Emma, your neighbour definitely sounds weird. Hope your fence is fixed ASAP. Kel, I am also getting a sore tummy from nerves, it's awful! Fiona, good to hear about your dancing - can't wait to hear how it goes!

I will try and pop in Thurs/Fri to say bye and get the rest of everyone's updates - I agree with Tam, we are all like honorary BMs to each other. Hope you are all feeling beautiful in the lead up - we must take care of ourselves!

As for me....... well
Hens night was on Saturday, I was really looking forward to it but unfortunately I was sick as a dog

We went out to dinner at the local tavern and had yummy meals, although I could only eat about 10 mouthfuls of mine. The girls gave me 10 dares to do, I got some of them done but felt so sick I couldn't do them.

I left there at 8.30 with my 2 bm's and we came back here, I took heaps of drugs to help me feel better and layed down until the others got back here.

I finally started feeling better..... I had about 15 girls here and it was great, drinking, talking laughing eating. No strippers thank god, but a great night.

We later chucked the karaoke dvd's in the DVD player and were all singing along

Nearly all of the girls stayed the night so we stayed up until 2am playing games etc, It was a really good night, but would have been better if I was feeling well... oh wells.


Other stuff:
MY CATS DESTROYED MY VEIL *Cry*. Its unusable, I have to buy a new one - $165

They got into the cupboard that it was hanging in and have put holes everywhere and have also ripped the beading from along the ends of it.

I can't even cut it short as it's got 2 layers and the holes go up higher than the top layer so it would look funny..... So pissed off!!

I haven't done anything else wedding at all for a few weeks.

Except for music I'm all done, I seriously can't think of anything else to do.... weird.

I'm finally starting to get over my flu and am feeling better.

Fred's bucks weekend is this weekend.

Karry - I've taken your advise and booked into 5 tanning sessions, first one this Friday. Isn't it the best when your engagement ring has just been cleaned and it is sooo sparkly Also, what a gorgeous guesture your FH's twin did... I'm sure that helped lower the stress levels. Thanks for the MC tips... I love weddings and to go to one in the Hunter would have been gorgeous.

Leonie - what a pain in the a$$ to have to move and what an unreasonable cow of a landlord!!! It sounds like you've been really busy and are sooo organised. I love the idea for your cameras... I'm not allowed to have any as FH is scared what might end up on them.

BeetleBug - you're FH sounds sooo cute and since reading your post I can't get the song "going to the chapel and we're gonna get married" out of my head

Bridget - It sounds like you're on top of it all... I hope the BM top works out. How did you go with the cake, jewellery etc? Your hen's night sounds like fun

Fiona - how are you going with your OOS? Sounds like you've got lots done too and how exciting about moving into your new home!!! Big hugs for when you're feeling overwhelmed It sounds like your dance classes are coming along and if you miss a step, noone will know.

Jodi - I would follow up your RSVP's because the last thing you want is someone turning up when you're not expecting them to. Big hugs!!! How did the outfit go for your nephew?

Tam - OMG about your house being broken into... you are being sooo good about it but what goes around comes around (I hope that is right). I also agree, it is like being another BM getting all the goss and being updated regularly Don't let anyone get you down about your hen's night... they are the ones missing out!!! You're going to have a great night with or without them!!!

Now I'm all caught up, I'll fill you in on my progress

We got FH's roster and he's got from the 11th Oct to the 31st Oct off so it means we can head to Sydney earlier but... not sure if we'll be ready for that He was really cute when he got it... he was dancing around the room saying "we've got our wedding roster and we're getting married next month"

BM's got a dress sample and it's way too big (they've both lost weight since we organised for the dress to be made) so they are getting it adjusted and sending it back to me but we're now running out of time (arrrr). It needs to come back to me because the dress needs the beading on it and it's way too expensive to get it done in Australia.

I'm off to see the dressmaker on Thursday and we'll get mine started but don't know if she's going to have it ready in 2 weeks FH really, really wants to get out of here because he had a horrid day and some really horrid shifts of late. The other morning he got up at 4:30am to get to work for 6:30am but on the way to work he gets a text message (yes, a text message) saying that they had to cancel his flight so now he doesn't have to be there until 11:40am. He couldn't turn around so he went in and they agreed to pay him for the hours.

We got the last rsvp today (YAY!!!) so now I've sent the list off to our printer for our OOS cards to be done (they are personalised and tell each person/couple what table they are sitting on). I can finalise the ceremony venue now (no. of seats, list of guests).

I've finalised the details with our photographer but am really, really trying to organise the hairdressers and makeup girls but we seem to be clashing with times... I'm hoping to get it all sorted tomorrow.

I'm not sleeping!!! It's driving me NUTS!!! It's 1:43am and I'm not tired. Monday night I went to be at 9:45pm because I was falling asleep on the lounge and at 1:00am BING... I'm awake... I wake up thinking about the BM dresses and how I should have just told them to buy a long black dress rather than trying to make it easier on them and cheaper for them... now it's causing more stress than anything else. I tossed and turned until about 3:00am when I got up and watched Sex in the City and Charlotte's wedding to Harry. Went back to bed at 4:30am to toss and turn until the phone rang at 7:30am to then try and sleep until at least 9:00am when I had my alarm set to get out of bed for work... I ended up getting up to pee at 8:00am and 8:30am to then drift off at 8:45am with FH waking me at 9:15am (I'm just exhausted writing about it but... I'm wide away)

Rant over

So I'm at the stage of... I don't want to do anything more for the wedding!!! I just want a genie to come in and blink a couple of times and everything will be done including me losing 5 kilos I'm over exercising and eating salad and fruit... I want a BIG FAT chips, a indian curry and soft drink that is NOT diet!!!

This week see's the bank account being drained because now we have to start paying for things... other than that, we've got a dancing lesson on Saturday. We've been practicing but FH just can't get the beat and the steps at the same time

My veil..... argh!! I dunno what to do, it's the veil I always wanted and don't have time to get a different style, I know this one is great for my dress. I've had heaps of people offer to lend me one, but they're all white white and my dress and veil is off white.... I think I'm just going to have to fork out for a new one.

Anyone want some cats? 18 month old Russian Blue and a 1 yr old ginger boy?

Zoey your hens nights sounds like it was a real hoot. Same with you Kristy I hope you are on the mend. Now about the veil, can you make one, I am not crafty in any way but could you just buy some tuelle and a pattern and make it?

Mine is off white and is 2 tier, with beautiful tear drop crystals hanging off the edges. Finger tip length. I'd be only too happy to get my MOH to post it to you on the Tuesday after our wedding. (Keep away from kitty cats though )

I'll take a piccy of it soon to show. Or if mine isn't suitable, maybe someone elses might be?

Fingertip with a second layer which stops at about mid arm level ish.

It's got beading all around the bottom.

It has a comb, but I need to take it out so that it can be pinned into my hair.

I got the keys to my house last night! We went in and I fell in love with it all over again! Its a georgous house!!

Off to pick up H2B's playstation tonight! Also My@r called me and someone has bought us a TV!! I have to go and pick it up as they dont want to send it in the post!

I feel soo happy today! We are having great weather in Melb today and it has made me feel so much better and SUMMER IS COMING!!! Also mean that the wedding is getting closer!!

Hi Everyone,
I haven't been around much lately, but just wanted to pop in to see how all my october friends are going!

We haven't recieved many RSVP's so that is stressing me out a bit. Due date is not until the end of next week, so hopefully we will get a stack over the next weeks or so.

My dress is still not even started, but I am very ahppy with how the BM dresses are shaping up. The colour (royal blue) is gorgeous on both of the girls and the style suits them both too.

I still haven't organised the flowers, but hye!! there's planty of time!!

Anyway, work is crazy busy and I am still working the weekends so I seem to have no time to myself at all!

Have a great last few weeks everyone (or days in some cases!!!)

Hi buddy Jane and all the other October Gals.

OMG - we don't have long now do we?

I have just over 3 weeks - and starting to stress big time. Our RSVP's all came in on time and no chasing needed (except Phils Aunt and Uncle sent a yes but rang during the week and said they couldn't come due to the winter crops being harvested - bloody country bumpkins ) so I don't have to stress about anyone not answering.

The girls outfits - and mine- are coming on well and one last fitting to be done (wooohoooo) - everything else is done and dusted

My gorgeous man planned a night away from home last Friday - a romantic dinner, a room looking over the river with chocolates, flowers and champs, breaky in bed - AND a set of gorgeous amethyst and diamond earrings (which I am going to be wearing now on the day) - all because he said I needed a chill night from the wedding stress and it was one month till the wedding. GOD I NEEDED IT! It re-couped me and recharged the batteries. I strongly agree getting away from it all if you can.

I hope every one elses plans are going on track - how is everything girls? how is the butterflies in the stomach? Who is calm, cool and collected?

Kristy, so sorry to hear about your veil! Cats are fun like that aren't they ... they probably leave fur everywhere too. (I miss having cats!)

Nik, I've been having trouble sleeping, too - partly due to insanity at work (only a few more weeks to go, but ARGH at my deadlines) and partly due to *so* much wedding stuff still to do. I was at a conference earlier this week and spent one of the boring sessions writing out all the stuff I still had to do. All small stuff, but a bit nerve-racking cos there was a lot of it.

We're off to visit my folks this weekend, so won't be able to do much Wedding. (Thank God.) We're bringing my MOH/sis her dress; hope it fits! Also we've finally done our second round of invitations ... I sat up last night with a Stanley knife, chopping up trace paper and poking push pins through cardboard while H2B hovered nervously. (He was originally going to do the cutting but mangled the first one so badly that I fired him and did it myself! )

Karry and Zoey - you're getting married.

Hi All,

well I arrived back in Australia last week and we had my fiances parents wedding vow renewal ceremony, then I've been in my home town this week finishing plans for our day. FH comes to town on monday and this weekend we have our hens and bucks nights.

I've done nearly everything for the wedding now and I've given up on the idea of a horse and cart because they never got back to me with prices so STUFF THEM! I'll just go without and spend the money on something fun on our honeymoon instead.

I looked at that weather report and it says rain for my wedding day. Not sure what to do if it rains, guess we'll just walk in the rain. or get someone to drive up the driveway and get me and drive me down the road a little heh. (was planning walking to and from the location). As someone else said, I love rain and it'll make me excited .

I got to work this morning to find out that in Spain there is a public holiday and I don't have to work today ahhahaha ). so I get a long weekend. I'm also looking at booking in some last minute beauty appointments a facial and a back massage.

Tonight I'm going to get takeaway with my dad and watch father of the bride, and on saturday I'm inviting everyone home from my hens night to watch 'bride & prejudice' -- the indian film .

I really only have to buy gifts for bridal party / parents now (putting together gift baskets).. otherwise I have 4 more days of work next week then we head off to the location!!

OK...well I'm pretty much done, theres not much left to organise, or the only stuff thats left is details. I went and had a facial and some waxing done yesterday, and now I'm busy trying to make this house look halfway clean!

My only concern is my dress...had a few probs, but I'm praying everything will be fine. its cutting it bloody close though!

As for the rest of us.... who's got everything organised?

Who hasn't??

* I've found my makeup artist, third time lucky!
* napkins to be taken to the florist for decoration with native dodder vine and orchids
* every RSVP has come back, just have to finalise figures with reception place
* flying to Sydney next Friday for the final dress fitting
* now got my honeymoon lingerie... it's a gorgeous long satin nightie with a matching wrap (the colour is Alabaster - heavenly!)
* got the chocolates for the bomboniere, but have just decided to pop them on each person's plate rather than in boxes.... or maybe a wine glass?
* day spa to be booked, they will throw in a double geisha soak for free because I'm going to be spending so much money on my BM and I!

Not long for us 15th October twinnies....

I can't believe that karry & zoey wont be back until they are MRS!!!!

Last night I finished all my noodle boxes , sat up until lord knows what time, but I couldn't sleep anyway.

I feel like I am pretty organised with the big stuff but the little time consuming things are still to go. Planned to type & print OOS books today but realised at 2 this morning that I don't have enough paper so I have ordered more for express delivery.

Everyone sounds pretty organised.

Bridget, I hope that you managed to "sneak " away when you were ready.

Joddles, the pain in the butt sister is 17. But I actually have 4 younger sisters (19, 17, 14, 13) all bm's the others have told her to pull her head in and she seems to have settled down now.

Family have all started to arrive now and if one more person asks me if I am nervous I think I will scream, they don't realise that the people who keep asking me are the thing that IS making me nervous .

Is everyone doing the "something old, something new, something borrowed & something blue" this is one tradition that I would like to keep, but can someone tell me can you have something that is old and borrowed?
