Secondly given the fact that the mods have been so slack, it would appeal to my juvenile sense of humour to essentially be spamming the mods with a massive ton of reports

You go into the post.
At the bottom (mid leftish) there is a button that says report. Click on that and them report saying spam.

On another forum I frequent one of the girls replies to the spammers and tires to get them to send her free stuff!! It is hysterical!!
I even think she got a reply and an offer a few months ago!

I've sent aobut 15 reports in the last week... has one post been zapped since then? They were deleting them pretty much daily up til a few weeks ago. I wonder if someone who normally does it is on leave or something.

someone has been on and cleaned up *some* of the spam... I reported one and then was posting 'reported' on the post but it wouldn't let me and it'd already been deleted. There are still a lot of older ones floating around though

It's worth reporting them too if it gets the IP address blocked too.
I'll go hunt. All those 'reported' messages will get my count up!
