Hi ladies,
We are going to be upgrading Kiara's set of drawers so we can give her smaller one to Rainbow when she arrives, but I'm having serious problems choosing which one I want!!
So which one do you think is nicer/better design/more practical etc?
Price is no issue as they are pretty much the same. I'm more basing my choice on looks & practicality of drawer numbers. Does she really need the 2 little ones or will 5 longer ones do fine?

Stupid Flikr. I'm used to Photobucket but I can't access it at work. Have posted links.

I like the look of the second one better but the first one seems better for a children's room - the second one looks like it has sharp-cornered handles that would hurt little heads/faces in a fall!
Can you tell I have two toddlers?

I like two little drawers up top to put undies, socks and singlets etc in. Its just my personal preference. BUT I like the chest without the 2 little drawers the best. Not much help am I

sorry

I prefer number 2.

I like option 2 as well, little drawers are good for little things. Plus it would match the stuff in DD's room which is oh so important lol

I think I would like option 1 better if it had different handles. Not personally a fan of matching wood grain handles.
However I do agree with PP about the 2 little drawers up the top.
Either way, they're both nice!

I agree with this. We actually have one that looks almost exactly the same as option 2 in our bedroom and I can confirm that the handles do have sharp corners and DD has hurt herself on them more than once (and they are not even in her room). Based on that experience, I vote for option 1

Thanks ladies. I love the look of #1 the best, but liked the idea of the 2 top drawers. But I think I'd rather the slight inconvenience of 5 single drawers than to have her hurt herself.
Another good thing is that I don't have to assemble #1 myself!

See, I like #2 better but can't stand the handles!

I like the first one, it looks a little more "hardy?"

We have handles like the second one and DD has never managed to hurt herself on them. Neither have I and I injure myself on everything

I like the look of the first one and it is easy enough to change handles. I think the 2nd one looks really modern. I am not sure what you DD's room looks like.
I have tall boys in each of the kids rooms and they both have the small drawers at the top (one has undies/singlets the other has socks/stockings. They also have a bedside so we have lots of options for the undies/socks drawers. You could always put a divider in the top drawer if you really wanted things seperate.

I too, like #1 but think that #2 is more practical. I'd go with #2.
The big question is which one matches the other furniture the best?

We don't actually have any other furniture at the moment b/c we've decided not to move her to a big bed yet so we'll basically just match any other furniture when we need to.
