This is a light hearted discussion - not meant to be offensive about weight etc

This is a apparently an age old question in Hollywood. As you age - do you aim for the super slim body and risk looking haggard or put on a little weight and have your face look fuller and therefore younge. (Obviously ignoring the whole plastic surgery approach of trying to have it all laugh.gif)

I found each time I lost the baby weight after my pregnancies, I would look to have aged in the face... but I prefer being fit and slim so for me I am currently choosing "figure over face" (wish I didn't have to choose - damn smile lines!!)

What is your preference?

I'm going to go for the 'whatever is healthy' option!

I'm hardly one for worrying too much about my looks, but I like being fit and active. I'm on the 'chunky' side of athletic so I'm never going to be trim and terrific but I'll settle for being not too heavy and not too much flab and get whatever face goes with that biggrin.gif

I haven't quite started to get real wrinkles but I feel like I'm not far off now, and probably this next munchkin will be the end of me being able to pass for a Uni Student biggrin.gif

I would choose figure - although let's just say post baby I am supporting a figure which is preventing me from having a haggard, wrinkled look lol

I would prefer to be able to wear the designer outifts and big sunglasses can cover up crows feet lol

Can't you have both! laugh.gif

In all honesty, I look at some of the celebrity pics with their pillow faces and botox and they just look scary! huh.gif

As for me, I've always been slim in the body and face - I take after my mum.

So I've never had a full face.

I fear that as I get older everything will start sliding south and I'll have wrinkles and skin dropping all over the place! laugh.gif

So I would choose full face but I fear it will be the opposite.

As much as I'd love a figure to die for and to choose slim over looks, I fear that society is still so judgemental and your face suggesting age/haggardness is harder to overcome than a plump midline wink.gif

So for me, I'd vote face.

I don't have either though rolleyes.gif

Like Squeaza - whatever is healthier. In this case, body. My mum has recently been diagnosed with osteoperosis, so being slim and healthy is more important to me than having a young looking face. I look so tired at the moment that the face probably doesn't matter tongue.gif

I'd always choose my face over a tight ar$e - it's not me who has to look at it!

I would choose figure over face every time - I've never really been a big fan of my face anyway and IMO it is easier to cover up my face than my unfortunate figure tongue.gif

Face smile.gif I'd rather be called fat 1000 times than 'worn'.

It's face for me too

I'd pick face. I dont have the slim body and probably never will, despite my best efforts.

Face here too for sure.

Luckily at the age of 34 I am very often mistaken for being much younger, I guess thanks to the fact that I do carry a few extra kgs around so my cheeks are full and wrinkles not very noticable laugh.gif

I always thought face, but I have noticed lately that my face looks better thinner...I have no idea if it will stay that was as I age though. I really don't know, choosing face would be easier than constantly battling the middle age spread. laugh.gif

Definitely face. Once you are on the wrong side of 40 sad.gif the texture of your skin changes, so it's not just a few laugh lines and crows feet you have to worry about.

However if I put on too much weight my face looks puffy and horrible so I have to try to strike a middle ground.

This is me - I choose face, but I need to be a certain weight to have a face that doesn't look aged, and a body that doesn't look fat. It's really only a couple of kg that makes the difference! Also I can cover the unfortunate parts of my figure easier than I can cover my face. People look at your face when they're talking to you (if they're polite! wink.gif ), so I think it's more important.
