An update from me.
So once again, I chickened out of leaving and decided to stay.
Things got a lot worse but I had some light at the end of the tunnel when DH announced he was giving up drinking.
I have decided to go along for the ride in moral support and things have GREATLY improved.
There is no more bickering, shouting, nastiness, name calling etc etc.
I am still stepping on egg shells because obviously he is going through withdrawal (and I guess so am I) but it’s just a much happier household all round.
It’s early days yes but I just keep affirming to him every day how proud I am of him that he has taken this step and I think this encouragement is helping to keep him going.
Thanks for all of your support.
It's our 4 year wedding anniversary today

That's great Naomi! You have not chickened out, that would've been the case if you had taken no action on trying to improve your quality of life and that of Nina's. You have made a great leap forward and I hope that it continues to improve. I'm so happy for you

Sometimes the harder thing is to stay and try and work things out.
So glad to hear your husband is making an effort.

I was actually wondering how you guys were going today, then saw your status and figured they must have been going in the right direction.
