So with 6 months to go, i feel as though i'm on top of things, which is what i wanted considering i'm back at Uni in a couple of weeks!

Although i keep feeling like i have forgotten something really important!

The Reception and ceremony is sorted, and i won't have my finals appointment for them until 8 weeks before. I have booked the celebrant, photographer, transport, florist, hair and make up, ordered the favours, ordered my invitation stationary and have even made up 2 of the invitations and sent them O.S. already, bought bridesmaid dresses, flower girl dresses, my ring and all my accessories. Oh and accommodation for the wedding night and the honeymoon.

Things that still need to be organized are the groomsman attire and Groom, his ring, i need to order some more paper to make programs and we still have to have the final appointment with the celebrant.

Am i forgetting something???????????

It sounds like you are all organised!!! smile.gif

But, you didn't mention your dress? Or did you? Maybe I missed it, but have you organised any dress shopping?

That's all I can think of at the minute...something I found helped me was googling "wedding checklists" and just going through a few different ones to se if there is anything you are missing!

I don't really have a choice but to be organized early! I don't know how to upload pictures on here? otherwise id post some of my invites.

I had a little problem yesterday though...We were originally getting ready at my house on the opposite side of the city to where the wedding will take place, and travelling 1 and half to 2 hrs to the ceremony depending on traffic. The wedding is on a Friday and traffic over the westgate is a nightmare!! My fiance will be getting ready in the East, me in the West and the photographer would have had to travel from East to West then back to East. Not to mention that the hairdresser and make up artist are salon based in the west and i had no choice but to get ready at the salon. It was all just to complicated! So i changed my getting ready location to Rinwood at my MH house, which just makes things that much more easier! However, i had to find another hair and makeup artist. I spent all day yesterday and the day before, emailing and on the phone trying to find someone who was available and who wouldn't charge an arm and a leg! Just about every single person, apart from those that charge $170 as a base price then add a cost for million different basic extras, were booked! The last person i contacted who looked great and was reasonably priced was available, so i booked her. And ironically enough, she is actually my photographers wife!

So in having said ALL of that lol I am glad that i'm prepared early so i won't miss out on suppliers that i want smile.gif

Glad to hear that you were able to change your getting ready location and hair and make up! You will be much more relaxed on the day knowing you won't need to worry about timing and the photographer getting everywhere in time! smile.gif

Funny coincidence with your hair and make up artist being your photographers wife! We had a similar thing with our wedding, I was having my make up trial and found out my make up artist and her husband owned the restaurant we were having our reception at! It's a small world sometimes!

It is definitely an advantage being prepared early! So many wedding suppliers are booked up ridiculously early!
