Yeah, DH is in the Army. He's ALWAYS away at the wrong time. At my six week checkup with Cait, when they asked me what I planned to use for contraception I just said 'the Army' (DH was deployed at the time) and I never realised how true that would be! Even if it's just a short trip it is ALWAYS when I O.

I think I'm going to join you all. My DP works away 2 on w off so TTC is going to be a bit tricky for us so I thought we'd better get a move on since he's not always going to be home during my fertile time

Hey Girls, I was lucky enough to get a BFP in one of those J months. For us it was January

Wishing you all lots of luck and hope that there will be some more great news soon! It's about time!
Goodluck Channy with your testing soon, will be watching out for it!
My sister who was one step away from IVF told me just after NYE that her FS (fertility specialist) said to BD on
days 12, 13 & 14. This would probably work if like me you have a 28 day cycle. I knew I O'ed on day 14 from past OPK sticks, didn't really do temps or check CM, so I was very lucky. It took us about 6-7 months to fall. I also had to wait for the pill to get out of my system.
Welcome Ames - hope your stay is short!
TIE: taking it easy
CD - cycle day
DPO - days past ovulation
BFP - big fat positive!
FS - fertility specialist
FF - fertility friend - a great website to help with predicting Ovulation and AF
O - ovulation
AF - Aunt Flo (period)
BD - baby dance (
laying down and tickling
)
CM - cervial mucus
OPK - ovulation test sticks??

Channy - when are you going to be testing? fingers crossed for a ++++
AFM - I'm not going to be using the OPK's this month, last month was a normal cycle so im hoping that my body is going back to normal and I think I might be startin to ovulate
I have also been feeling a bit "flat" the last month but starting to feel more positive now. So Im now on CD 12 so maybe time to start BD

Did you mean move to the DPO section? Do you know when you ovulated? I only ever move myself down if I can pinpoint the day, otherwise I just count CDs
AFM, had BT this morning, according to Cait I got a 'noodle' in my arm. Geez they took a lot though. Has anyone had BT done for fertility before? I had one at CD21 (well, later for me but I O late) to check I ovulated and then my gyn got me to do them today at CD5. The referral just said 'subfertility', what might they have been checking?
Have a follow up appt but not til next Tuesday

Windsor - constantly having bloods for fertility.
In my monitoring cycle I had CD1, CD5, CD21, CD28. From that he got the answers we were expecting anyway and put me straight on to Provera to induce my AF and then I started my clomid on CD5.
Now in Cycle 2 of clomid and I only do testing on cd21 for progesterone. This is changing next cycle as I am not responding to clomid so will have monitoring. Ie will be having more bloods, urine and will also be having scans to check if the follies are actually growing....Thank god. Its taken me to make an appt at another fertility clinic and them to request my files for my FS to send me an email and ask if he can release my file and why and then going back and forth with emails he has offered to do monitoring from next cycle.....yay! I really like my FS and really dont want to leave him as he can go through and be my Ob if we ever get Pregnant again.
Welcome Ames84 & melonball79 and welcome back again S3!
S3- hope the clomid starts doing it's thing and you get your well earned BFP.
SGM- I'm the same as Windsor, I move from CD to DPO section if I am pretty certain I know when I O'd.
Armygirl- can't believe how the months have flown, hope your pregnancy is progressing well and you are feeling ok.

Great to here your body is doing what it should be. Best of luck this cycle!

That's why I'd rather get this sorted with my current doc than getting referred on too.
Is clomid to make you ovulate? Cause I am definitely doing that, just the + sperm = bfp that is not working. I'm just hoping the problem is something relatively simple to solve as if we require a large amount of intervnetion I don't know if I want to do that. I guess if I was TTC#1 I'd jump in straight away.

I worked out that if all my TTC psyhic readings are correct this is our month and I would be due at the end of Feb - hopefully not the 29th or my birthday - though DH would like that as it is one less date to remember.
Question if you have a baby on the 29th February - in non leap year years when would the birthday be celebrated?
I am pretty sure I am getting close to ovulating so the shag fest will be on soon!

SGM - I think I will test only if I'm pretty sure AF is late. I spent a small fortune on PT when we were trying to conceive Ethan which I don't really want to do again.
DP flew out today for 2 weeks so I'm pretty certain we will miss the boat this month unfortunately but that's just another perk (

) of the FIFO life!
I hope you are all well. Ethan is down for a sleep ATM he is teething really badly

He woke up screaming in pain last night so I've got him dosed up on all sorts of things.

yeah, I think to be honest that having AF arrive would be less upsetting than a negative test before she is due ... but the waiting is driving me crazy!!!!

Thanks hun,
Im the opposite - with DD I was convinced I wasnt pregnant and had no symptoms what so ever, but this month I've had nausea in the mornings for the last few days and my sense of smell is really sensitive.
Though it could mean something until hubby opened a jar of crushed garlic tonight and I realised that was the smell that was upsetting me ... and he has been slipping it into his dinners the last few days

so much for pregnancy symptoms

tricky garlic!

After a very big disapointment last month (lots of symptoms, BFN), poor TTC effort, not wanting to test as it 'wasn't going to happen', tears, feelings of giving up..
we did it
I had some bad cramping yesterday, I needed to wee every 30min today and 2 giant pimples errupted on my neck overnight. I caved in and bought tests tonight.
I was so shocked, the lines came up so strong straight away.
