Hello everyone.
I'm new to the board. Which dress do you like best? I have put a deposit on the first dress, however am scared that it's just your average ivory sweat heart neckline princess dress and am having serious second thoughts (I know this is normal, however I didn't completly love the dress even when I ordered it, it was more a that will do type thing). I think I will swap it to the Maggie Sottero Caprice dress as this is nice and slinky, will be confortable on the day and also has a bit of a unique factor....but is it too plan? Also maybe the Reese is a bit more timeless as my current dress will be outdated very soon.
What are your thoughts? Can you give me any advice? I have tried the Caprice on and it is flattering dress like my first.
Any advice or comments would be much appreciated to help me make the final decision!

Personally I prefer the 2nd dress. I don't think either dresses would be considered "standard" though and it's more just about which one you prefer.
However, the fact that you are questioning which ones sounds to me like neither of these may be "the one" for you. When you find the right dress, you will know

Good luck

I like the second one the best, but they are both nice.

I like both and clearly you have the body to carry either off.
Does one dress suit your theme or wedding more than the other? What 'look' are you hoping to achieve?
Do you anticipate having an emotional attachment to it, cutting up for a christening dress, boxing it forever, trashing it etc? How does each dress make you feel when you wear it?
Sorry, not much help

Good luck on the decision and congratulations
I like the 1st dress the best
Good luck with your decision

I like them both, but the second one is my favourite of the two. I was going to ask too if one dress suits your wedding style/theme more than the other?
I do think number 2 is a stunning dress though

As a dress, I love the 2nd one but it would never have suited the look of my wedding so I would have gone with #1 IYKNWIM.

they are both gorgeous dresses

I personally prefer the first one, however if you are looking for something that isn't 'standard' for lack of a better word, then definitely go with the second one. stunning!

I think they are both stunning dresses but have a different look. As AuChocolat said it come down to the sort of look and theme you are trying to achieve.
Could you post a pic of yourself in the second dress? I think it didn't let you post both pics the first time because you were trying to put two pics on the one post. I-do doesn't seem to like it when you do that.
I love the bodice of the first dress and the flowiness of the skirt on the second dress. The back of the second dress is also just stunning. I think the first one is romantic, the second is old hollywood glamour. Tough choice.

I prefer the first dress, then again, I'm a bit more of a 'traditionalist' and love princess-y weddings, which I think the first one leans a little more towards. I also love the beading on the bodice of the first.
Don't forget to come back and let us know what you decide!!

Both are beautiful!
They are quite different though - the first is a little more traditional and formal, but the second is very elegant.
Just make sure you are happy with your decision!!

Hello, I have decided on the second dress becuase the wedding will be outdoors and the reception venue will be by the beach so it makes more sense to go with the flowy less formal dress. It makes my bum look a bit big though!!!! Oh well im sure noone else will notice and its just me being paranoid haha. What style of dress have you gone with? I wish I had that "omg this is my dress" moment but it just hasnt happened. Im sure on the day of my wedding and i put it on I will feel amazing though.

http://www.maggiesottero.com/dress.aspx?style=A3321I love the second one. It reminds me of the one I am thinking of getting.
http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=133...e=1&theaterI still have a year over to decide.. ! Still torn between going extravagant like Carrie Bradshaw or understated elegance like Audrey Hepburn.

Theme is important, I do like the detail on the first, but the second would be timeless.
Are you planning on a veil, thought this might help your decision too.
Good luck honey, have you set a date?
Oops, bit late on my post. Well done honey on your decision.
