Hi Everyone,
I am wondering if anyone has any reviews from a wedding they have had, or been to at Taronga Zoo Centre.
Thanks alot!

We attended a wedding there and it was nice. There was no way you could really tell you were in a zoo aside from knowing the fact (I don't know, maybe I was expecting to have a tiger at my table or something LOL).
Not that much different to a normal function centre.

Lovely!
A couple of Wedding Receptions and a few formals back in the day!
The last one was two years ago, they had reptile handlers on arrival in case you wanted to pat one with your champers...

I went to one a few years ago and the food wasn't great and like a PP said, you couldn't really tell you were in the zoo. The ceremony was great though with excellent views

I went to a reception there a few years ago and certainly wasn't blown away. The food wasn't exceptional, the view was nice out on the balcony as the sun set (evening reception). However, once the sun had set and we were inside, with the lights on inside you honestly couldn't see any of the city lights due to the reflection in the windows. At one point they turned the lights off inside so it was almost pitch black (weird) so we could see the city...I remember thinking it was such a shame. I think a lunch reception would be lovely there purely because the view is just spectacular.
I think the bride and groom had a lot of problems on the night such as there being no baby animals for us to see as there should have been which was a shame but that could also just be a one off.
I think of that wedding, my biggest thing was just they'd paid so much to have a lovely venue and really it was just a room in the end. Nothing really overly special.
