My fiance and I just got engaged and are looking for some country wedding venues around brisbane. Any ideas? We just like the idea of an open feel wedding.

How far out of Brisbane are you prepared to travel?

I can think off the top of my head for "country venues", places like -

Dayboro - some wineries out there
Glass House Mountains
Mt Tamborine
Boonah

Or there are some "country clubs" down near the Redlands, or even places like Kooralbyn.

Alternatively, you could have something at Roma Street Parklands (for example) and decorate or theme it so it's a little more rustic ...

Even if I do say so myself it is freaking beautiful and there is an adorable little church or there is the national park as well.
Views are to die for and with all the rain its beautiful green and lush.
