So i'm planning DF & My wedding for next October/Nov - I've got my bouquet sussed, but, since we aren't having too many people, we were just going for a simple vintage/romantic/garden style reception with one long table and a couple of small tables all with mis-matched vintage table clothes and vases - filled with the flowers below.
So, to get to the point, i've picked my flowers that I want in the vases as; Statice, Lavender, Hydrangea (if available) Chrysanthemum disbud, Lilacs, Peony & *maybe* DA roses if available
what I want to know is - where can i go and just buy the flowers I want as bunches? Everywhere I look seems to only do bouquets or pre-arranged bunches - is there anywhere I can go where I can tell them what I want, and have them put together the amount of each flower I need? I thought Brisbane flower market in rocklea would be the place to go, but they seem to only be 2 flower shops set up in the warehouse, and thats about it?

I've had a few girlfriends use the rocklea flower markets - they had great results. I'd try them and discuss your ideas with them - from memory, they had a photo album there to show you their previous bouquets etc.
I can't think of any others around here though, sorry!
Good luck

It was over 5 years ago now but I got my flowers from rocklea and they matched the magazine picture I gave them exactly! I was very happy as it cost me half what I would have paid elsewhere. They also ordered additonal flowers for us for my Nana to do the church and reception arrangements so just ask them and they should be able to get the extras for you.

I used one of the florists at Rocklea markets for my flowers and they were fabulous - without the inflated price tag.
There are three florists, and they sell flowers at wholesale prices (eg 10 long stem roses for $12; or 10 bulgarian roses for $15 when available, you can't get those prices in a retail florist). You should be able to go in there and get quotes or order the flowers that you want, and they can give you advice as well.
