If you did, where did you get them from?
I know I won't be able to fit into my normal clothes for some time and will be sick to death of my maternity clothes (and the wrong season) so I am in need of some new clothes.
Where did you get your nursing clothes from?

I wouldn't say they were special, but they were new

For the hospital I bought some bonds 3/4 roll over trackies (accommodating for any belly, nice and soft/stretchy fabric), a nightie to birth in (which I didn't use

), 2 x nursing singlets/tops from kmart bub2bub brand or whatever they are, a dressing gown and that's about it. And I didn't actually buy any maternity clothes, just wore the same/different combinations of my regular stuff.
ETA - all kmart.

I bought lots of new nighties for when I got home, but just used my old trackie dacks and singlet tops. I highly recommend dark pants. I bled through the first night. The dark duds certainly hid the fact until I could get in the shower.

No, but my mum bought some for me. She got me 2 lovely nighties, 2 pairs of jarmies and a nice dressing gown. They all came from Sussan and were able to be opened at the front for feeding. I still wear them now because they were in my regular size but with elastic waists.
I did take some more "dress up" kind of clothes to wear with visitors. I second the black pants and also Kmart has some really nice stuff that's cheap too. I think it is kind of nice to have some new things to wear though.

I bought some cute button up cotton PJ's from Cotton On in dark colours, some Bonds yoga pants and a new pair of slippers and cute bed socks so I felt a little snazzy

(I freeze in hospital)

I only got new jammies at xmas and wore them for the first time in hospital, or i wore the top at least the bottoms were too small.
I did buy a few tops, and just wore trackies.

Yes to black pants! I bought 3 or 4 pairs of cotton pants and singlets, that is all I wore!

I had some new lovable breastfeeding singlets - gold. I also bought the bonds fold over black pants and another pair with stripes down the side. I bought some new tops I think which were from K-Mart and my mum bought me some fantastic nighties from Susan - just cotton but they buttoned at the front which made breastfeeding so much easier.

I was due at a different time of the year to you - right in the middle of summer, and was/am always hot. However over the months I did purchase comfy singlets, stretchy tops, skirts that had an elastic band or alot of give at the top. And then of course the standard very $exy black undies
I spent about 10 days in hospital and alternated between 3/4 denims, stretchy skirts, plain tshirts and I did wear the Bonds yoga type pants - so comfortable.
Plus it isn't just for the hospital, you will tend to wear some of these things around the house for those first few weeks/months while you are getting back into your ''old'' clothes.
I do remember always feeling better once buying just a couple of items to get me through.
For the basics I just went to Target, Kmart and Myer (when they had a sale on). I wasn't about go out and get a whole wardrobe for a few days/weeks.
I just wanted to add just remember hospitals are always warmer/still, so although in 7 or so weeks it may be getting colder, perhaps buy a few basics you can layer incase you get warm.

What clothes did everyone give birth in? Just a nightie? Does the nightie get stained?

I think I had a short sleeved button up front nightie on with Angus.
Soaked it in cold water then washed and any stains came out.
I bought that nightie and one other before I had Will - to wear while I laboured (never did with Will) and for after for ease of breastfeeding.
I didn't buy any other clothes specially for hospital or afterwards. I just wore my few maternity clothes - I wanted to save money to buy some new clothes later on instead!

At fashion fair, they had tops 2 for $5 - singlet tops, so I grabbed some of those and my comfiest "Around the house" shorts, so it was really just the tops I brought, that were mainly to make it as easy as possible to breast feed.
I also brought some nice new Jammies in the xmas sales from Myer, SoHo ones. They all did the trick.

Simone, I went to a couple of different places.
Both pregnancies I have found Myer to be really good. Good selection of clearance items in bed/lounge wear. They also have SOHO separates that are not too expensive at full price.
I got my Flannel pj's from there in 2007 and they were only $29.95 full price.
Sussan was great too. I got lounge pants and matching long sleeve top there and then some nicer pj's this time around.
I just made sure whatever tops I was wearing I could undo buttons to feed or just pull it down.
I also got a few of those coloured adjustable strap singlets from Target when on sale and some bfing friendly tops. I didn't buy anything maternity/nursing and had no issues with feeding.
Even though I had one bub in winter and the other in the middle of summer, I still found I needed the warmer clothes at night in hospital as it tended to get cool from the air con.
Timboli, I was naked during labour for my daughter and this time with my son I had my dress on for probably 5 minutes, bra only for about 10 minutes (I remember saying I only left it on because I couldn't even feel it) and then nothing on for the remaining 20 or so minutes.

I remember going to DJ's and Bonds where having a little sale. I got some nice stretchy trackie pants (I have them on now, totalled to bits by bleach and toddler hands) and some breastfeeding singlets in the underwear department. I then got a few big Bond t-shirts that where really comfy.
I remember the hospital having quite cold air-con so trackies definitely helped me out and it felt nice having some new things in my bag.
Good luck, not long now!

I also had a couple of pairs of yoga pants which I wore with maternity tops (I was admitted four days before I gave birth), and then afterwards with normal tops. I also bought some 3/4 denim pants during my stay, but they were too uncomfortable to wear for long periods. I liked feeling a bit more 'dressed up'. I wore a lot of singlets and cardigans, as they were really comfy.
Mum bought me some nice PJs from Sussan that had button down fronts and elastic waists. I still wear them now.

When I was taken to the birth suite I was given a gown to change in to, as they told me I wouldn't want my clothes to get messy. I wore that the whole time, and didn't worry about it getting stained.

They are both have button down tops for easy boob acess

Apart from that I will just be taking some of the clothes I have been wearing over the last couple of weeks and hopefully my fav dress (which will HOPEFULLY fit) to come home in.

I plan on wearing singlets/breastfeeding singlets with cardies and either a stretchy waist skirt or trakkies - supre have cheap low waist ones which are comfy and cotton on body also have some casual lounge wear. I'll bring some jeans/wrap dress and tights to come home in.
I gave birth to Lily in a bikini top - she was a September baby but I spent some time in the shower and wanted skin to skin contact straight after the birth so will probably do the same thing, maybe with a gown over the top if it is cool (this baby is due in winter).
