Ok so everyone knows how frustrating it is at the end of ur pregnancy when ur just so uncomfortable and it feels like the baby is just never coming?
well thats me right now and i am just over it!
so we have tried a few things- raspberry tea leaf tablets, staying active (not hard with an 18 month old), ... sex... (which by the way has done NOTHING!).
so i'm wondering wot are some other methods i havent tried because i'll try anything right now! please let us know if u've just heard of the method or whether u've tried it and the effectiveness

if any at all

While I didn't get to the uncomfortable stage needing to try these things I can only suggest them.
I know probably the last thing you feel like is a big long walk, however a friend went for a slow, but long walk a few months ago and later that night magically she was in labour.
I know you have said it, but keep up with the sex
And a couple I have heard of, but don't know their effectiveness : nipple stimulation, spicy food and acupuncture.
Sorry to break it to you, but I really don't think any of the above will work unless your body is actually ready though.
Good luck anyway

Go see the obs the day before you're due and don't pack your hospital bag.
I was convinced that my bub wasn't going to come on time and that I'd be induced as booked on the Friday after he was due. He had other ideas and he was actually born on his due date. I had to get my mum to help pack my hospital bag while I was in labour! Not being prepared worked a treat!

Yeah keep up with the sex and even if it doesn't work it might shut the hubby up for a while

ok, ok I am talking about MY hubby....
The not being organised thing sounds good. Murphy's Law and all that!
I tried the homeopathic remedy - didn't work for me but might for you.

Make an appointment to have your hair done or something like that, especially something you really want to do.

good luck Kristen
I tried everything with Aidan, sex, curries, long walks even the stretch and sweep didnt work, still ended up being induced 10 days over. I was told unless ur body is ready for labour none of these things will help

I walked up a very steep hill the day before i went into labour

- I can barely walk up it when I am not 39 weeks pregnant - I don't know how I managed it!

My friend recently tried reflexology and it got things going for her. I have also heard eating a whole fresh pineapple might work
I didn't get around to trying anything and went into labour on my own and 40 + 2.
Good luck!

Your poor thing, those last few weeks are so hard. I tried sex, hot foods, bouncing on a fit ball, walking, nothing worked.
I did however wake up in labour the day I was booked in to be induced (phew). Hope it happens for you soon.

I hear a lot of people have success with Accupuncture.
I was overdue for both my first and second but never tried it personally ...

At the end of the day I think if bub isn't
ready then nothing
will work. With Taylor she came 3 days early so didn't try anything. Jobe ce 2 days early and we had tried sex on a few occassions and accupuncture a few days prior. If I had gotten to my due date
I was going to book in for reflexolgy.

I tried all manner of stupid things. For two weeks prior to my due date, I had a warm bath with some J&J lavendar bath stuff, because a friend I knew had gone into labour after that (the desperate things we try).
I was 3 days overdue when this 'worked', but I basted after sex- meaning, I lay down with my hips elevated for half an hour afterwards. It was something I read on a website, and well, it worked for us!

So annoyed, can't remember what it was now but I used an essential oil recommended by my midwife, mixed with base oil for belly massage and burning
Also cleaning the bathroom floor on all fours with a toothbrush
I was still induced, at 40 weeks due to gd, but tell myself that cleaning the floor put bubs in a good birthing position
hope it happens really soon for you

We did lots of walking, bumpy roads (hard to avoid in the country anyway!), lots of sex and I ate a whole pineapple

Elka arrived the next day
Good luck xoxo
