Just wondering for any experience that any one has, young or old with Dog allergies. She hasn't been sure what is making her appear sinusy (if that is even a word) but it is becoming a bit more apparent, like today when she was here and bub was fine until the dog came inside and then she puffed right up, that she might have an issue with some element of dogs.

I'm just starting some research for her into some more or less solutiosn, I know I have heard stories of people being allergic to animals but being able to live with them, so jst trying to find those stories and what people did. She has bought a heap of Asthmatic stuff and a new super duper vacuum already just on the suspicion that is was dust mites, or dog fur or something.

Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated.

My best friend has quite a few allergies (perfumes, dust, etc) and dog's is another! It's actually usually the dog's dander that causes the allergy - gross but the dander is the dead skin I believe that they shed (humans do too, just a fact of life but it doesn't sound very nice does it!).

My friend's allergy is to the dander and she gets puffy eyes and sniffly when she comes to my place. She has drops she can take beforehand but usually forgets rolleyes.gif My friend is also allergic to cat hair. It's my understanding that these are quite common allergents.

Thanks for that, she had read that it was not the fur but other aspects of the dog....so I wonder where your friend got her drops from? And does it help a great deal?

I think she got the drops from a naturapath - I'll ask her the process but she's in Malaysia at the moment so a response might take a while smile.gif
