I was wondering if anyone had been to Daydream for their Honeymoon or had any comments/thoughts about it.

It sounds really great from the websites I've been to but I just wanted a few opinions from fellow forum members as I don't really trust websites of the hotels/resorts (of course they'll have flattering feedback on their own sites!).

Thanks in advance :-)

went there about 3 years ago. lovely spa treatments at the gorgeous health spa there, nice pool, found a beautiful little beach on the other side of the island, our room was a bit dissappointing - old decor, bit damp smelling...hmm what else. food a bit exxy. in all we had a great holiday there but it was not as glamorous as i expected. hope this helps.

Yup! We went to Daydream, many a years ago now, so I imagine unless its had a revamp itd be looking even older...
We were disappointed with how "Old" looking down everything was, although LOVED the pool bar! Food was expensive, and we didnt use a the spa treatments, did do alot of outside activities, which was fun.

Had we had really researched our Honeymoon, we would of taken the money we spent at Daydream and gone overseas - would of cost the same smile.gif

I'm the same - a lil disappointed that the accommodation wasn't nicer - especially the bathroom. The resort felt 3 star - painted concrete, plastic curtains, faded couches ... that sort of thing.

Don't get me wrong though - I had a wonderful holiday,. We did all of the activities (snorkeling, jetski, canoeing, spa treatment, trivia, etc) and were totally relaxed afterwards. If you do go, I recommend hiring one of their little motor boats for the day & motoring over to some of the surrounding islands/snorkeling off the back of the boat.... We still giggle about how much fun we had that day smile.gif

BUT... I probably wouldn't go back, tbh. The expense was a bit of a shock and I think there are better value holidays out there.

Thanks heaps guys smile.gif I really appreciate the feedback.

I might look into Thailand or maybe the Sunshine Coast. I really love the sound of Thailand but will have to suss out if the flight will flare up my CFS or not.
