Hi

I'm looking for a good florist in sydney - I've heard about some nightmares and want to make sure I get someone good! Has anyone got any recommendations?

We are going for a vintage theme, so I would love to have a dusty rose colour scheme - I am thinking about using roses and lizzies in shades of pink/burgundy. I am also thinking about including lavender with this in the bouquets. I would LOVE to use lavender and think it will work with the vintage theme - but I can't find any pictures of bouquets with lavender and roses.

Will this work? Any thoughts?

thanks so much!!

I used this place when i got married (almost 3 yrs ago now) & they were fantastic. I was so happy with them. Have also used them many times since when i've wanted to send flowers for special occassions.

I can highly recommend Hooked On Flowers. http://www.hookedonflowersnsw.com/index.php?section=1

Michelle has done some friends weddings and events and will also be doing mine.

She has brilliant work, is so creative and just awesome to deal with.

Emily - I am having a vintage theme and will be using creme & pink coloured roses, lizzies, ranniculas, fresias and dusty miller follage. I am using Pearsons. They are a little more expensive then other quotes I received but I know there work is just brilliant and the girl who i use is just amazing and knows exactly what I am talking about.

We used this place

they did all our bouquets, button holes, center pieces and the cake to match.

From memory they were very reasonable and beautiful. Not sure on their pricing these days as that was almost 5 years ago.

Let me know if you want me to show you some pics.

I had lavender and roses and loved them. We went through the florist at Maquarie Shopping centre (was 7 years ago now though). There is a gorgeous florist in Belrose called Robin's Nest that always does gorgeous flowers too.

Leebec - your mixture of flowers sounds simply divine!!! I would LOOVE to see pictures?? have you got any?

Also Camilla - have you got any pictures of your lavender and roses? I haven't found anyone else who has had this idea!

I would SOOO greatly appreciate this!! I am finding it really hard to find exactly what I want and I would really, really love to see how your flowers looked! Both of you seem to have it spot on!

If necessary, PM me.

Emily - my wedding is not till September 11 2010 so I dont have any pics. We are using that combo as they are my favourites (well besides Peonies which i cant have as not in season) and because rannuclas are the closest in shape to peonies. This was the suggstion of the florist to what i was describing and from what pictures i had taken in.
