Do you make the pastries yourself, or use the frozen ones?? That's a great idea!

Jackson is being soooo fussy lately. He'll barely eat any of the lovely fresh food I make him, but will gladly eat jar food wacko.gif So lately I've been giving up a bit and giving him jar food either lunch or dinner so that at least he has one good meal

B - porridge
L - baked beans and cheese toast (he actually ate heaps of this!)
AT - biscuit
D - jar of some crap, custard

Yesterday:
B - weetbix and pear

She was with Mum today

B - refused all weetbix, Mum couldn't even get the spoon in her mouth. Toast and fruit
L - avo and melted cheese on toast, fruit
D - an omlette! First time ever and she lapped it up, so excited!

We still aren't doing morning and avo tea unless we are out. I feel kinda bad but really, there isn't a lot of time for it in the morning with her sleep (she wakes just before lunch) and I guess I could give her something at avo tea but until we get a table and chair for her I don't want it in the highchair and I can't stand walking around the house with food.

Mean mummy ph34r.gif

We went to lunch at the pub with friends not long ago, with their 16 month old and one of the options on the menu was grilled barra with veggies. She just ordered it as an entree size, for the little one. So ended up costing not much more than the kids meal, but he had lovely fresh fish and veg. Not sure if you'd be able to do that everywhere though (it wasnt listed on the menu that you could have as an entree)...but I'll sure be trying it on occasion smile.gif

We use to share our meals with him too, unfortunely we can't really do that now unless we know its all gluten and dairy free. I often ask for my veges ect. on a seperate plate so he can have them, they are usually always alright with that.

Today
B: 1/2 banana,[a bath, then] a marshmelow & a biscuit
MT: Rockmelon, corn chips
L: cheerios (the sausages) with tomato sauce, A biscuit somewhere in between.
AT: maybe some blue berries, more rockmelon, and not sure yet
D: 2 mini meat balls, rice pasta, 1/2 avo, and probably something else not sure yet.

Thats a basic day for us, especially because my freezer is running low on supplies. I need to make some cake this weekend and something else for dinner, as well as some pancakes to use instead of bread. hmmm time to go think about something I can freeze for him as a remade dinner.

Just thought I would share this recipe that I just made and will be trying it on Nina tonight,

It's pretty tasty - I tweaked the recipe based on what I had in the fridge. I used grated sweet potato, red onion, mushroom and frozen peas instead of zucchini and I added mozzarella cheese on the top before grilling.

Great thanks for that!! I guess with honey being in it, I'd have to wait till after Jackson's 12 months? although, if it's a dash of honey and he's 12 months in less than 3 weeks, is it really that big of a deal??

Hijack- can I ask you gals a highchair question?? We are tossing up between a solid wooden high chair and a trendy plastic one that can be folded and put away for storage.

Is it good to be able to fold them and put them out of the way now and then?? Is it necessary? I am thinking when visitors come over and after child No 1 is finished using it and we are waiting for child No 2. Do you have yours out all the time??

We do have a big convenient cupboard that would easily fit it in stored away.

TIA smile.gif
