Lauren will be in creche for 3 full days when I go back to work shortly (aged 10 1/2 mths), and they will be giving her dinner because my husband won't be able to pick her up earlier.
At the moment I cook and freeze vegies etc, but our gp recommended freezing raw meat and then cooking as required. He didn't seem to like the idea of cooking meat and then freezing it.
But this is going to make it difficult to take her dinner to creche as I won't have time to cook her meat, defrost vegies etc etc before leaving for work.
What do you all do? Can you cook and freeze whole meals (eg: meat, pasta, vegies) so that I can take a bowl out of the freezer and put in her lunch box? Obviously I would cook fresh meat and vegies before freezing (rather than defrosting vegies, cooking and re-freezing with the meat).
Also, Lauren hasn't needed morning or afternoon tea. She eats 3 good meals and has 3-4 bottles a day and has been putting on great amounts of weight. But the creche wants to give her morning tea and afternoon tea also. I'm not sure what to pack for Lauren - she's not big on finger food at all yet so I don't know what to do.
I'm very anxious about going back to work and I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to juggle all this and make sure Lauren (and I) have adequate food for the day. I already feel I'm not doing things right.
