Hi all!
My mum is a bit overwhelmed with Christmas this year - she has a house full of people that she's trying to feed (and find beds for), she's caring for my grandmother, who was rushed to hospital last night in an ambulance, and has just learned that we have another 6 guests arriving... 4 of them kids.
She hasn't bought pressies for these kids, (as they're second cousins or something?!?) so they didn'tmake the gifts list, but now feels she needs to get pressies for them. I've volunteered to get the kids gifts to take some stress and expense off her hands, but I'm at a loss of what to get!
WE're not 100% sure on the kids ages - we think there is an 11yo Boy, a 9yo girl, a 4yo girl, and a 2yo boy...
any suggestions??
ETA: around the $15 mark please!

wow you poor mum.
I have siblings and nieces and nephew all about that age so here are my thoughts
11yr boy - remote controled car, dvd (fanstastic four, hulk etc), game of some sort, one of those balls that are flat when you throw them and pop into a footy or round ball in the air
9yr old girl - hmm books or little makeupkit, hair accessories, little handbag
4yr old girl - anything dora, books that have popups and lots of pictures, bubble mix
2yr old boy - balls, books that have different textures in them that he can feel, bath toys, any fisher price type toys that make noise
most of the suggestion above are things I have bought for rellies in that age group as it is what they wnat/like
hope it helps

I also think books are a great idea and you can get them all from the one shop!
The older boy would probably like joke books or those books with funny/gross/science facts, the older girl maybe crafty type books or even kids baking or something and for the younger children picture books or those colouring book packs.
Good luck and I hope your Grandmother is ok too.

What about icy-pole makers - the ones where you fill them with cordial or juice and freeze them? Howard's Storage World have good ones, as do BigW and the like. Good for all ages and something to do Christmas afternoon / Boxing Day.
Good luck; I hope your Grandmother is okay.

11yo boy - Ripley's Believe it or not book ( I just bought it for my nephew who's 12).
9yo girl - Beados Set at Target or Kmart.
4 yo girl - so many options. A book (anything by Pamela Allen) drawing pencils and colouring book, a barbie doll, craft set, Polly Pocket ( a favourite of my daughter who's around same age) sunglasses, sunhat, bubble bath.
2yo boy - match box cars (my son loves them) In the night garden book.

We've bought six of these for Christmas Day

(all the Grandkids)
Balls and Books are hugely popular in this house.

If all the grandkids are getting water pistols, then I suggest those for these kids too. Even cheapies, plus a book or whatever. I would jsut go somewhere like kmart or Big W and get everythign at the one place.

Pink butterfly... it's not our grandkids getting waterpistols... it's RachLee's!
