What does IB stand for?

International Baccalaureat - an alternative, supposedly international recognized (and definitely internationally taught) High School qualification. The scores translate very well here to TERs (or whatever uni entrance) compared to VCE or HSC or whatever, and I know a lot of kids who favor it should they want to get into Medicine. Oddly, everyone I know who has ever done it is a girl unsure.gif don't know what hypotheses can be made from those statistics biggrin.gif

It also contains a community service component, and there is a Primary Years Program in existence
