I've just realised that Sydney Bead and Gem Show is on this Friday 10th to Sunday 12th October.
I missed it last year and was determined to go this time, but I'm rostered to work this weekend so don't want to organise a day off unless it's worthwhile.

Just wondering if anyone has been and what they thought of it, and is anyone planning to go this time?

I completely forgot it was on this weekend, Im working Fri & Sat, so im going to have to go on Sunday.

Im really looking forward to it. Im on the scout for some really nice foil glass and venetian glass.

I went last year and TBH I wasn't all that impressed, there was a lot of the same stuff over and over. I ended up finding some great storage options but no beads etc that I couldn't have found on the internet for less than they were selling for there.

Thanks for the feedback Nikki. I use precious and semi-precious faceted beads and there only seems to be one supplier of them on their vendor list so I'm not optimistic of finding much, but I need some more pearls so I'll probably go anyway.
I buy most of my supplies from overseas and am dreaming about going to the Tucson Fair - now THAT is one amazing gem show!

Jess have you looked at their exhibitors list and the link to their websites? Looks like there will be a few stalls there selling various glass beads so hopefully you'll find some nice ones.
