I guess I'm a late bloomer, got married last year, and although I did use internet a lot, never got onto any forums - now I really wish I had 'cos they really are fantastic! - And I may not be in the position I'm in now with a photography company who never answer the phone, return messages, or seem to be in the office! My photos were one of the most important things to me, & therefore we spent quite a bit on them and now I have no faith that I'm ever going to receive my album!!

There have been a few melbourne brides who have had issues with their photographer.

are they mentioned on I-do by any chance?

Can you provide any more details about the delay with your album?
Please don't post the name of the studio (you were very diplomatic in your first post).
The first place to start is to check the fine print on your contract ...

ETA: Just wanted to clarify that it's a good idea to check if the photography company is listed on i-do. If the company does not pay for advertising here, then "hooked at last" probably won't have conflicts while seeking advice on this forum. Of course, I recognise the company's right to remain anonymous.

Well it seems that just as I was getting to the end of my hope of ever seeing my album & posting the message on here, my luck changed. We had found out last couple of weeks that the company which I had chosen from the melbourne bridal fair, had been placed in voluntary receivership in december last year, & hence is in liquidation. Then no-one had been in the office over last few weeks at all. But thankfully we managed to track down one of the owners & found out finally that our album was there and organised a time to meet and pick it up - Huge sign of relief, and thankfully it is perfect!

Oh dear.... The name of the company that you've had issues with, isn't somewhat similar to the name of someone who advertises on here is it? Several of our i-do girls had issues with a photographer that went into liquidation in December, and you're story sounds far too similar to their stories to be a coincidence.

I was with you! But then I realised she said the company she was dealing with went into liquidation, and the one now advertising has a slightly different name to the one I'm thinking of that went into liquidation in December. I thought she might not have made the connection!

I was horrified to notice that a particular un-ethical company is advertising on the forum.. but then again, I-do isn't alone in that.. I notice the same thing is happening on WC.. I realise that both companies need to make money, but it's really disappointing.

I am confused, as far as I am aware the company isn't on here, - although if it is now under a different name I wouldn't know. I hope I haven't said something I shouldn't have though!
Can someone PM me with the name the other girls had trouble with, just for my interest I want to know if it's the same. Thanks.
