Hi ladies!! I'm just hoping that someone can give me some advice, I feel too emotionally connected to the wedding to be able to see things with proper perspective.
OK! So when we first met, my florist said that she'd arrange a time to meet me in December so that I could physically see the roses she'd use in my bouquet (wedding is at end of January). So no contact had been made and I ended up emailing her to arrange a meeting. I had to take time off work to attend this meeting and when I arrived, her assistant told me she was out and about. Great. So her assistant tried to help instead but clearly had very little idea of what I had wanted. The roses were not in and I had to wait for their truck to deliver them...more waiting. Eventually they arrive and they are not at all what I'd hoped for, I had ordered David Austin roses in a cream/ivory colour and what is shown to me are white DA's (too frilly) and pink ones (which were the correct shape). The assistant tells me that the white DA's do not come in the correct shape, which is contrary to what my original florist said. What should I do ladies? I don't want to make my florist annoyed (and possibly do a bad job) by telling her how disappointed I am, but I don't want bad service or flowers on the day! Any advice on how to construct a polite email would be gratefully accepted (Vik I'm hoping you hear me). Thanks ladies, Cazzbo -------------------- ![]() |

I would email and politely inform her that the flowers you were shown were different to what you were expecting/picturing. I would ask if she could give you any suggestions as to what other flowers might work in these colours to give a similar look. Also confirm with her about the white DA roses and the correct shape. The assistant may have got it wrong. It is too late to find someone else now, so this is probably the way to go. I know my florist is more than happy with me emailing and asking a million questions!

With this kind of service i'd be looking for a new florist, if she cannot be bothered turning up to a meeting you had scheduled and her communication is lousy then it's probably a warning for the day that you may possibly not end up with what you want. Don't want to scare you but I'd take her actions thus far as a big warning to look elsewhere.

I have to agree with Kween_Kristi.
Maybe schedule another meeting and see how that goes- and if she's even there, and if things are still dodgy I would be finding another florist ASAP. |
