Well - we actually dusted off the telly and hunted around for the remote, sitting down to watch the England vs. Paraguay game...

Geez -- what a SLOW game! Paraguay sucked, and England was a bit lacklustre, though good to see Beckham still looking fine!

Well, anyway hubby and I had 2 face masks each and some strawberries and bacis...

Monday is Japan vs. Australia -- you can imagine how that's going to be here in Osaka!!

I had a face mask as well while hubby watched it. I was flicking between that and the french open tennis final.

Off to the folk festival now.

Our enjoyment of the match was heightened by having such appalling SBS reception that we couldn't see the ball let alone the players for most of the match biggrin.gif

We're getting foxtel on tuesday, especially for the world cup and the Tour De France. How sad are we ph34r.gif

Hubby has been told repeatedly to physically drag me in front of the TV whenever Becks, Henry or Ljunberg appear!

Hey, if he's spending two weeks hogging the TV the least he owes me is some unabashed drooling and perving!

I agree, the game was slow. And I also agree that soccer players would have to be the most attractive bunch of sportsmen on the planet. Honestly, good lucks and sporting prowess seem to go hand in hand for most of them.

Also watched the SBS show before the game on capoeira and football in Brazil, so my night was just one big drool fest.

Sorry, I can't get myself to sit there and watch, no matter how hot the guys are!
Any sport where a nil-all draw is considered a good game, doesnt deserve my attention!!!

However as an AFL follower, phoar, now THOSE boys are worth watching!!! tongue.gif

On another note, did anyone watch the opening ceremony? How funny were the guys humping the giant cowbells, such intense concentration on their faces laugh.gif

I am a sports widow all year round!! lol Especially now during the world cup. I think we need our own support group.

Steve also has a Soccer manager game on the PC, so he plays that for hours, and watches every sport he possibly can, as well as training for his own sport ARRGG!!!!

I find soccer boring... Give me the AFL or NRL anyday. Least it doesn't make me fall asleep!!
