Hi

I was thinking that this month i would buy some OPKs. But they seem to be sold as a single. I don't want to buy to few so I was wondering. How many do you buy at once?

Thanks
Bridget

and I thought my 30 was going to be a lot! *lol* I'm only expecting the 30 to really last one month though (should last about 6 I believe if you're lucky enough to be blessed with a regular "normal" cycle....)

I just bought the cheapest I could find.....

and to go with it I bought 19 preg tests smile.gif I'm hoping I won't need them longer than a month or so though (once I get a BFP on one I know Í'll use the whole bunch up!)

I got 20 from the internet and they lasted me the 2 months it took to get preg - however I have very regular cycles so didn't need to test too many days to get my O.

The internet OPKs are fine - basically they are just a little stick which you can wee on or stick in a cup of wee. The chemist OPKs are the same little sticks but each stick comes in a plastic holder with a little window etc, as well a little testing cup for collecting wee. So you are just paying the extra for the "window dressing". I say go the internet OPKs (although I have to say I found that chemist HPTs were better than the internet ones).

I bought mine from the internet. I started with the ones from the supermarket and as I needed to use more than 5 per month it was getting very expensive ohmy.gif ohmy.gif

I found the internet ones were great and so easy to use. I also found that the internet HPT's were not very good at all. I am 9wks along now and for a laugh I used one I had the other day and the line was so faint that I could barely see it!

I have the internet preg tests & Ovulation tests (sorry don't yet know the 'code' for them! blink.gif )

I found that when I was preg, they did not show a positive & the chemists ones were positive. I assumed that you had to be much further along for the hormone to be traced with the internet version?!

I have also found that the Ov test did not work. For my last cycle I tested using both the chemists' & internet tests (Yes I have spent alot of $$$!) & only the chemist one picked up the LH surge.

I'm very interested to hear whether others have had posive test results with the cheapies! Otherwise I have 100 of each test which are completely useless! mad.gif

I saw the same ones in Priceline 5 OPKs for $19.95 and you got a free early pregnancy test with it, so I guess they are expecting that would be one month's worth.

And hopefuly that would be all you need!

Cheers,

Amanda

I love my internet opk's, but never having been pg I can't comment on the hpt's - they have a 100% success rate with me (ie always have shown negative)
