I am having a three minute aerial display and it is 1200.

I am also getting married on the gold coast, however, I dont have the details of the pyro as I am organising it through my wedding planner.

Cheers

We're having an 8 minute aerial display and it's costing us $2500.

If I can offer you some advice though; ask every pyrotechnician to send or show you a video of a typical show, based on your intended costs. They VARY drastically. We almost booked the first guy we spoke to and then happened to stumble across another one who showed us what we would get for $2000. I then asked the first guy to send me a video of his $2000 show and it paled in comparison to the second guy!

The thing with aerial displays is that there are huge costs in setting it all up. By law, the pyro's have to notify all the appropriate authorities (fire brigade, police) and they have to notify EVERY SINGLE HOUSEHOLD within a 1km radius of the event. If you're in a residential area that is a huge amount of houses! And you're charged for those 'administration' costs. In our case it amounts to $1500 before we even begin paying for the fireworks themselves.

And there is always the basic rule; you get what you pay for. But research it thoroughly before comitting yourself.

We are having 3 champagne fountains (I think they are called that anyway) as we cut the cake and are paying $200-$300. It is organised by the reception venue.

wow, i was considering researching fireworks as a surprise for our guests - but that's way too expensive!
when we leave the reception we're going to give our guests sparklers for the balcony - we have to walk past it to get to our car/hotel.
