Hey everyone, we are a melbourne couple, im 23 and jackie is 21, yeah we're youngins.
I popped the question to jackie on her 21st and we told her parent and EVERYONE at her patry, its been a pretty crazy ride so far and we've only jsut decided to try to fast track the wedding to the beginning of next year! FUN FUN FUN! hehe. Most on here are probably in the same state of mind, a nice wedding is what we want and we dont want to brake the bank over it! We're looking to .... umm well cut corners everywhere we can by doing things ourselfs and getting the best deals by getting to know people in the biz and learning from what others have done in the past. Were looking at getting married in melbourne or geelong around feb next year (06). So just a quick hello from us and any tips and suggestions would be awsome! |

Congratulations on the engagement, that sounds so special!!! Your certainly not the youngest around here, I'll be 20 and my fiance will be 2 days off 21 when we get married next March! AND there are younger couples around here then that. If it feels right it feels right, why put numbers into it hey!!! Anyway, you have come to the right place to share ideas and to get tips on where you can cut costs! You'll be addicted before you know it! No jackie hasnt joined yet, this is where it gets tricky, she lives in Canberra and works for the government, so they dont let her cruise the web like they do at my job (Computer game programmer), but when she visits I'll sit her down and get her to have a good read. Ive been saving out just about every picture I can get my hands on and plan on burning them to a cd and sending them up to her to have a look at.
As for what we have planned so far... well not a lot. We only realy decided last weekend on the around about date, we have since sent out some emails and rung a few places for receptions around that time. I live out in Eltham (if you know the place) theres alot of nice country settings out this way for this kind of thing. And my parents run a motel in Geelong, again a really nice place, but the two choices are very far apart, so havent even decided on which place would be best |
