Anyone watching this?
When I ever get a chance to watch TV I'm still a reality TV junkie, and since I'm down to about 1 hour of TV a week our hard disk is about to explode with all the things on it I'm still clinging onto Survivor, although I understand it might be nearing the end of its mighty run. I'd give anything to go on it, but given I'm not American that is only a pipe dream Please no spoilers if you watch this streamed from the US - I'm on Channel 9 time, which might be a year out of date for all I know. My thoughts so far: missed about the first 6 episodes. Love Ozzie - want him to win. Have a feeling he's going to miss out yet again. Brandon is a nutter, from a family of nutters! Cochrane is also a nutter, albeit one who ought to have known better, given his life-long obsession with Survivor. I love the duels between the people on Redemption Island! Next weeks looks like it might be a corker. -------------------- |

Yep, still a massive fan here!
I don't want Ozzie to win, he did treat Cochran quite badly and has been too cocky throughout. I actually can't think of anyone that I do really want to win it, probably the only one I think maybe is Sophie. She's played fairly level headed and has been decent to people (at least to their face anyway!) Talking strategy, if Ozzie was smart he would have given Cochran the idol at that merge vote instead of Whitney. He would have know Cochran was wavering, so by giving him the idol there's no way Cochran would have voted against them. But it just goes to show how poorly Cochran was regarded amongst his tribe. -------------------- |

Another Survivor fan here
Ohh yes, Brandon is a nutter alright isn't he? Oh boy! and how funny was his Father coming in the other day trying to tell him what to do.... his Dad was soooo much like Russell in that sense! I also think Ozzy could be playing a smarter game and that he could have learnt more from his experiences.... to be honest even that first day on the beach where the while tribe just went swimming as opposed to building shelter, fire etc I would like Ozzy to win at redemption and come back to spice things up a little -------------------- |

Do you guys think Edna is actually going to beat Ozzy like the trailer made out??? That'd be a turn-up.
I'd just like Ozzy to win because ultimately if anyone from all the seasons was to survive on a deserted island, it'd be him. Also, he's one of the best challenge-players that there has ever been. I was happy when Yul beat him (because Yul is my favourite Survivor yet It is quite amazing how much of a thrall Coach can put over people - similar to Rob, although I'm still gutted by how Rob got voted out of Villians vs Heroes. One stupid person who didn't see the brilliance of his plan and who did their own thing and ended up with them getting wiped out. I'm totally not into (being an atheist and all) the praying for everything and anything that the tribe are so into. I think it really takes away from the fact that people just have to work hard and hustle and be in the right place at the right time and know the right people I did like how Ozzy got himself eliminated to try to even things up, although if they'd let Cochran go and Christine had beaten him, I reckon they could have easily persuaded Christine to join their tribe instead of Coach et al. -------------------- |

It is American though and from what I can gather Christianity seems a lot more integrated over there than it is here. Yeah, this season has been a bit boring cause everyone is so predictable. Why can't they just grow a back bone and make a big move? Didn't anyone see last season when Boston Rob won cause he had total control over everyone? Why do they not vote these ex-survivors out ASAP! -------------------- |

Yep, another one who is not a fan of all the praying on this series... completely OTT and almost cult-like, I also say this as a Christian. Also Brandon with his "oh I want to play as a Man of God" and then SMACK in the face for Edna by saying he was going to vote her out next
Coach seems to have a tight grip on them all, but make them think that he is not pulling all the strings. Albert and Sophie soooo should have made a big move to get rid of him by now, but they are all too scared. Yawn.... how predictable. It was exciting last series of Redemption Island when done by Boston Rob, but this series is a little ho hum, been there done that and don't you have anything better to offer? Meanwhile Coach is still sitting pretty and still has a hidden immunity idol that he is hanging onto. Hoping that there are a few bits of excitement in the next few weeks and somehow that there is a big move to shake things up a bit.... but I doubt it somehow with the way its going! Shame as I love Survivor!!! -------------------- |

Sorry, Claire, can't help there. I have no idea about downloading. We were away that week too and when we watched the episode the week before we made sure we set the recording straight away so we wouldn't forget!
Out of the final 3 I thought Coach would have won, but as the jury questions started I got more of an idea that he wasn't as well liked as I thought. I think he shot himself in the foot by promising too many people final 3. And Albert did himself no favours by taking the immunity and then Brandon getting kicked out, along with the fact he didn't seem to do much at camp. Overall I'm glad Sophie won and I think she learnt a few things from her time on Survivor. I loved Edna's jury comment about how basically everyone signed up to be duped, so why was everyone so surprised! I think next season look interesting. I think having everyone in the same camp will make things much more interesting as far as alliances go and hopefully we might see more chopping and changing, the last 2 seasons have been too predictable. Nonetheless, I'm still a die hard survivor fan! -------------------- |

Meh... not really happy with how the whole thing ended but I guess thats no suprise with how everything was going at the end and how predicable things were becoming. Early on I saw Sophie as a potential winner as she was obviously in quite a secure place, good at strategising and yet also staying under the radar for the most part? Towards the end though I liked her less and less but can't really put my finger on why. Part of my was kind of hoping that Coach would win, but at the same time had he won then the whole "Redemption Island" concept would have been flawed as it seems that the new players are too scared to make any big moves and vote out the old
