Well we have our boys name set in stone, and we think we may have our girls name too. DH is still a bit uncertain about it, but I thought I'd put it out there to see what others think, whether good or bad and if it goes with the twins names So if we have a little girl, her name would be Malika Rose -------------------- |

What's your pronounciation on it? I immediately read it as 'Ma-lick-err' which to me sounds like she's licking something.

I know a Malika and think its nice. Rose is a pretty name but I am not sure they go together? One modern and one old.

I love it!! I think it is so pretty and simple yet different. I taught a Malika once and she was a gorgous girl!

What would happen if you made it Maleeka? That way everyone would pronounce it right?

I think it's very pretty but I'm now going to light a match.....
I figure that being a teacher I've had good experience at working out nasty nicknames and that whilst I'm not trying to put you off the name at all, if someone came up with a point I hadn't thought of then it's good and constructive. I like it, and read it as it's pronounced.
I agree with Mel B that the twins have classic names whereas this one is more modern. I don't think it matters (personally) but it is a point if you wanted 'matching' names in that sense.. I think it's pretty :-) |
