Hi All,
So Ive been to PLENTY (ok so only like 3) of psychologists in my time, but never to a Psychiatrist......and Im a little nervous.. Do I just speak to them the same I do with the Psychologist? Is there anything in particular I need to tell them differently......?? DO I tell him I want to TTC asap or so I leave that for another session!!?!!! Sorry Lame questions but Its a bit overwhelming.....! *I have this image in my head like all of the movies when they go to see a psychiatrist.....my psychologist isnt like that at all!!* -------------------- |

Beth I am sorry that I can't offer my much advise as I haven't seen one before.
But I would suggest that you treat it the same as a normal appointment and be totally honest with them Good luck and let us know how you feel. xox |

Hey Beth,
I've seen both a psychologist and a psychiatrist and they were both pretty similar. The psychiatrist was probably a little more coming from a medical perspective but otherwise the experience was comparable. I'd let the conversation dictate whether you want to bring up the TTC thing, but since it's pretty pivotal to where you're at right now, I think it's relevant for you to bring up at your first appt (esp. if he wants to talk meds).
