I am asking because Aidan seems to be allergic to bites, they fester up and look angry and red around the bite itself.
Do they still have those plug into power point type devises that have a type of pad that you slot in and turn them on?? If so, where do you buy them? -------------------- This is how old I am ![]() |

Like Aidan, Penny comes up in massive welts when she is bitten by mozzies.
Interestingly, they have no interest in Abi. The girls share a room and one night we had the window near Abi open. Abi was in a short romper and Penny was in 3/4 length PJs. Penny was COVERED in welts the next day and needed a trip to the doctor with antibiotic cream and antihistamines to get it under control. Abi had two tiny little pin-prick type bites that disappeared in a day or two. I use the Raid plug ins that last 30 nights/10 days. Some only last a couple of nights so check before you spend the money on the heater unit (I learned the hard way!). -------------------- |

Both Hayden and I react like that too. We used the plug ins at night, but have the problem now that he can get in and out of bed and they heat up quite a bit and he seems to have a fascination with power points, still unsure about what to use now.
As for during the day, we have to cover him in aeroguard every single day. We miss one day and he has 10 - 15 bites on him that blister and itch and hurt for days -------------------- |

We have been giving Samuel stuff called Mozzi-free. It's a liquid form of vitamin B1, it releases a smell on your skin that mozzies hate, so no more bites!! I can't smell it on him, but when he sweats he smells a little bit like Vegemite!! When he does get biten they don't seem to be nearly as bad as before. We got ours from the chemist but I know you can get it from health food stores too.
